1970 Chevelle SS454---Here is what I know about the car--I was told it was an original LS6 car, I have no way of knowing if this is true or not--Its what the guy told me that I got the car from-It does not have the original motor-But it does have a NOM 454-I was told it was bored 60 over-The car runs very very good-I do not have a build sheet-But the car appears to have the original rear end and I ran the numbers off the axle and they come back to a 1970 Chevelle LS5 or LS6-I have a picture of the axle # so please e-mail me and I will send you the pic-The guy told me the original motor was blown up back in the 70's-It was blown drag racing-The car still has the vintage traction bars and still has the safety axle strap on it-I have sold 3 1970 Chevelle SS cars in the past year and I believe this to be a true SS from what I have seen on the other cars I sold-Someone has put a ton of money into the resto on this car--this is what I Know---It has a turbo 400-The car was originally Forrest Green with white stripes-The previous owner painted it Cortez Silver with Black stripes-The car has no rust or bondo that I know of and is really straight-I don't know what was done to it when it was restored-But the body is really straight-The frame and floor is excellent on the car-With no rust or previous repairs that I could find-I do have a lift and took pics of the undercarriage-E-bay only allows me 24 pics but I have more-The pics on the car speak for themselves-I have driven the car only a few times-Obviously because of the weather-But it runs really good and is fast and shifts like it should-Like I said the body is really nice on the car and the stripes are painted on and cleared over-It has the non-functional cowl hood-and has the correct SS Wheels-All the chrome is new including bumpers and trim is new as are the emblems-It was restored at some point-It has a scratch on the rear quarter panel that is about an inch long-other than that the body and paint is great-I believe the grill is new also-The Interior on the car is excellent-with no rips or damage-it does not have the factory radio and has aftermarket gauges mounted below the dash(oil, water) It has the factory gauge pac but the tach isn't working-and the heater controls aren't hooked up-All things the new owner can do right in their garage-It is automatic on the floor with console-headliner is perfect as is the rear package tray-Its not cut-Door panels are perfect as is the dash and seats-All lights work as they should-and it will pass NYS inspection-We are a NYS licensed dealer-so NY residents will have to pay sales tax--I know of some decent shippers and have shipped quite a few cars-The car is in my garage. I encourage you to come and inspect the car for yourself-It is available for viewing by appointment-This auction is for serious buyers so anyone with less than 20 feedback will have their bids removed unless they contact me before bidding-Sorry but I have been hit with non-paying buyers with less than stellar feedback-I require a $1000 deposit immediately following the auction-NO EXEPTIONS-The car is listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime--Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will try to answer questions you may have---
On Feb-21-14 at 18:47:04 PST, seller added the following information: The pictures do not due this car justice--It must be from the snow and being so cloudy when I took the pics-But the car looks way better in person On Feb-22-14 at 17:01:41 PST, seller added the following information: the rear axle code reads CRV0408B2 Decodes as CRV is LS5 454 or LS6 454 Positraction 3.31:1 |

Chevy Silverado HD gets the Custom Sport treatment
Thu, Apr 9 2015Everyone remember the Silverado 1500 Custom Sport Chevrolet showed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show? Good. Now, the company has applied the same styling treatment to its heavy-duty pickups, introducing the 2500 and 3500 Custom Sports. The two trucks appeared today at the 2015 Denver Auto Show. A monochromatic look is the order of the day, with the heavy-duty Silverados getting body colored bumpers both fore and aft as well as a body color grille. Chrome accents sit in said grille, while the shiny finish can also be found on the door handles and mirrors. Buyers of the 2500 Custom Sport will get five-spoke, 20-inch, polished wheels, while the brawnier 3500 gets 18-inch polished hoops as standard (dualies are downgraded to 17-inchers). Custom Sport models are only available in Summit White or Black. The trim package can be added to both LT and LTZ models, with a price premium ranging from $700 to $1,695, depending on the truck. Chevy, GMC have electric pickups coming. Is Cadillac next?
Fri, Jan 7 2022GMC already has an uber-expensive electric pickup in the Hummer EV. By now you've no doubt seen the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. It's a pickup. It's electric. It looks a little bit like an Avalanche. Hmm. You know what else was a pickup that looked a little bit like an Avalanche? Why, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, of course. Cadillac Escalade EV-T yes or no?https://t.co/R1AXThRzIG@therealautoblog @Cadillac — Byron "Don't do anything Byron says. Ever" Hurd (@Byron_AB) January 7, 2022 So, hypothetically, if Cadillac were to build an Escalade EXT with an upmarket interior, Super Cruise, a minimum of 300 miles of range, 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, a locking frunk and 5-passenger seating, plus all of the nifty doodads and gadgets we've already seen on the Silverado ... would it sell? OK, this isn't entirely hypothetical. In fact, I received a survey from Cadillac this morning asking just that. It's an interesting question. And it's one we're putting to you, the readers. So, what say you? Cadillac Escalade EV-T? Yes or no? Related video:
