967 Chevelle ss396 real deal , vin#138 , 350hp 4 speed project car....

BODY
This car has had a TON of body work already done to it...The body itself is 90% finished and straight as an arrow...No rust or rot in this car it has all been removed or replaced professionally...
New Cowl hood
New drivers door
New passenger door
New Radiator Support
New floors
New trunk
New inner fender well
1 nos fender well

The car has been frame off already and is back on the frame, all new poly bushings were installed , frame blasted and painted ..Body still has it original quarters , when we got the car it had cheaters over the factory quarters , so we pulled them off...Low and behold the originals were in great shape except for a couple minor dents so we straightened them out the right way (have pics) , the inner wheel houses and everything else was beautiful too!!The front fenders are original to the car and are in Very nice condition...car was in primer when we got it into the shop but we took it back down to bare metal to see what we were working with , this car is rust free...we rust shielded all the inner quarters and stuff so never have to worry about it again..

The body needs a final sand then its ready for paint!!!

When we bought the car we were told it had the original motor and transmission! The transmission was at a shop being rebuilt when the owner passed away so it might come up it might not at this point according to previous owner!Sucks really, bad situation..
Trans is not included . obviously if i can get it at some point , you are welcome to it , but at this point you are buying the car without it...

The motor we were told was original has been decked so there is no 100% way to prove it or not!!
I did however run the numbers off everything on the motor and it all looks correct to the car, the old guy who owned it had no reason to lie about it , he owned the car since it was new...Told me the motor had been decked at one point and he put it into a Street rod while he was having the chevelle restored , the motor did come with some weird motor mounts..Her is how the motor numbers break down from my research......

I just wanted to say thanks to every one for all the interest and offers....

I understand its not cheap to have a car shipped home so i just lowered the buy it now $500 to help a little with that...
Yes its big project but 90% of the hard work is done , this body is phenomenally clean and rust free..There is no hidden surprises , it is solid!! Very close to being ready for paint , Its in primer with a final guide coat on it now..Hasn't been exposed to the weather since put into primer.. The car has been guide coated and blocked twice already , i was going for a Very straight car..
Its a 67 Chevelle super sport , it deserves the effort for sure in my opinion..

Hopefully that answers some of the questions..

I will help out on my end any way i can for shipping etc..

Again ,thanks guys !!

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part three

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and has an associates degree in dropping f-bombs. For Part One, click here. Part Two is here. Really hoped I'd be able to grab an hour or two of sleep before the sun rose over Le Mans. Dark dark dark, couldn't figure out what was going on. Commentators struggled at times as well. But I couldn't do it. Endurance racing is just too exciting. Grabs my attention with both fists. Screams, "watch these men DRIVE!" A neighbor invited me over for drinks. Told him, "Can't do it, gotta watch Le Mans!" Maybe not exactly. I'll admit, at times my attention wandered. I did a load of laundry. Ate some snacks. Half listened to the commentary. Threw a hump at my wife. I learned that Patrick Long, driving #88, is big brother to Kevin "Spanky" Long. Spanky's a bit of a legend in the skate world. Always weird how top notch talent can run in families like that. Kind of surprised I've never heard that before. Worked for a skate mag for a years, met Spanky a handful of times. Someone must've told me that he has an older brother who drives race cars. Dash cams at night are scary. High powered headlights in the P1s reach almost 300 meters. Cars outrun that distance easy. Seems like they're just steering into the black and hoping for the best. But that can't be the case. People'd be dropping dead let and right. Very amused by how the guys in GT are like, "Dude, stop flashing your fucking lights before you pass." But the LMP's are all, "Suck a dick! I do what I want." Top three stayed neck and neck nearly all night long. As the sun gets ready to creep back over the horizon the top three are separated by only eleven and a half seconds. Toyota 5 and 6, Porsche 2. Audi 8 is two laps behind Porsche, beleaguered 7 is dealing with constant trouble eleven laps from the front. GTE Pro sees Ferrari 82 in first, Ford 68 and 69 right behind. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect. Fours cars retired so far. I'm beginning to appreciate the endurance aspect a little more fully. Only really considered the drivers at first. The mental and physical stress driving these cars at these speeds at length would inflict. But keeping the damn things running is the real deal. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect.

How Chevy used popular Instagram user to promote 2016 Volt

Thu, Feb 26 2015

A picture is worth a thousand words. When it comes to Chevrolet and its Volt extended-range plug-in, the automaker is hoping pictures can be turned into a few more buyers. The company extended a little love to one popular social-media practitioner to see if the trick works. Former biochemical engineer Kevin Lu started his Instagram account a couple of years ago during a road trip, and the quality of his shots has attracted about 181,000 followers. With that popularity in mind, Chevy brought Lu up to Detroit to check out the unveiling of the next-generation Volt at the Detroit Auto Show last month. Lu also got to see the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly factory where the Volt is built, Automotive News reports. As for the next-gen Volt, Chevy says a more efficient powertrain and lighter battery help give the car an all-electric range of up to 50 miles and a total driving distance of more than 400 miles. Chevy also touts the model's streamlined grille and (tight) seating for three in the rear. General Motors hopes a combination of those improvements and exposure from sources such as Lu and his Instagram account (and some sleepy ads, apparently) revitalize sales of the model. Last year, Volt sales fell 19 percent to 18,805 units. Next Chevy Volt will be 2016 model and ride on new chassis

Fri, Mar 7 2014

What do we know about the 2016 Chevy Volt? Well, for now, all we can do is try to put the puzzle together without the box. Thankfully, a new batch of pieces has arrived from a new report in Edmunds, which says that the 2016 model year will introduce the second generation of a car that hasn't been dramatically updated since it went on sale in 2010. The new Volt is getting an "evolutionary styling change" and will ride on a new front-drive platform that has been developed by General Motors. GM's Kevin Kelly told AutoblogGreen that he has "no comment on future products," but he did acknowledge that Chevrolet is working on a second-generation Volt, "but I can't say anything about timing." Everybody already knew that a next-gen Volt is coming, so that's not a surprise. What we don't know is any real concrete information on the car itself. The few tidbits of information we do have help define the outlines of the next version of Chevy's halo car, but they're not confirmed yet. For the record, they range from the eye-raising (a $10,000 price drop) to the logical (20 percent more electric range). We can't see the whole picture yet, but the pieces do point to the 2016 Volt, which would be released next year sometime, being a much bigger deal than the last update, when the Volt's range was increased by three electric miles thanks to a battery capacity increase of 16 kWh to 16.5.
