Up for sale is a 1967 Chevelle malibu. This vehicle has a fresh restoration and is currently running really good. The chevelle is a california solid car, the floors, trunk panels and over all a really solid car with no rust issues. The car was painted about 2 months ago at a local boby shop. The paint is nice but i would not call it flawless, in my opinion the paint is about a 9 out of 10. It is a two tone blue and gray combination.

All the glass is in good shape and the front and rear windshield are new. The trim around the windshield and rear window is new, the weather stripping is also new around ther roof rail doors and trunk, Bumpers, grill, emblems, turn signals, door handles and mirrors are new. Taill lights and trunk trim and hood trim are new.  The car has new wheels and tires, they are 18 inch wheels.

The interior of the car was also redone in black vinal. The seats, carpet, door panels, side panels, kick panels, head liner, dash pad and even the trunk was upholstered. The car has bucket seats and a center shifter. The door handles, window cranks and ash trays are also new. The car has a  new after market stereo that can be hooked up to your mp 3 player. The car has power locks.

The engine is a rebuilt 454 BB, with lots of performance upgrades and since I purchased it, I have put about 20 miles on it. The transmission is a automatic 400.  The car has a new carburator 750, new spark plugs and spark plug wires, electric fans and electric fuel pump, new aluminum radiator and new battery. The car has a new exhaust system from the headers to the end of the tailpipes. The car is turn key, sounds really good and runs good.  The car has front disk brakes and rear drum brakes, the car also has a new gas tank, master cilinder and brake booster. The car also has a new wire arness.

Over all this is a really nice driver cuality car. I encurage all potential buyers to come look at the car, inspect it, take it to a mechanic or do anything you need to do before you purchase the car. The car is a turn key car and it runs good and strong, however the car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. The buyer is responsible for picking up the car or making arrangements for pick up at his own expence. If you have any further questions call or text me at 760-693-9471.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
