Chevy, Cavalier, 2002, Yellow, Customized, Lambo Doors, Decal, Spoiler, Custom on 2040-cars
Livonia, New York, United States
Im selling my 2002 Chevrolet cavalier, I've put a lot of time and money into the looks of this car, it has butterfly doors, passanger door needs a new hidrolic line. a full body kit, aftermarket spoiler, hood and trunk. car is completely debadged no one even knows its a cavalier. has custom 17in. rims on low profile brand new tires. the interior is custom painted yellow with custom embroidered side panels (they say Cerwin-Vega! because of the old system I had in it) right now there is 2 12"in. kicker comp d's running off a blitz 2400 watt amp. has only 2 seats backseats I took out, front two seats are yellow tenzo racing seats. no performance parts on the car besides short am intake and the exhaust which is split to be a dual exhaust. the car has only 65k miles and has never been driven in the winter so very minimal rust on the undercarriage. the tire are all brand new and I just got new rotors pads and wheel bearings put on. it has a nys inspection as of aug so its mechanically sound. the only bad is that the passanger window moves very slow, and needs a new motor, the passanger lambo door doesn't lift because of the hydrolic hose which is a 40 dollar fix if you do it yourself, the exhaust could use a new hanger which I will probably weld on within a week, the driver seat is not on the track properly so it doesn't slide (once again that will probably be fixed soon)and lastly when shifting into 5th gear there is a minor grind but can be prevented by shifting slowly into fifth gear, and the grind does not affect the way the car drives nor is it hurting the tranny. #(585) 991-8289 I will only take cash for the car, I will drive to meat you, within reasonable distance. I will use PayPal as well but the pick up of the vehicle needs to be arranged over the phone, im not shipping the vehicle unless you pay for the shipping

GM cutting production at two plants
Thu, Feb 26 2015General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction
Sun, 17 Feb 2013It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.
