Hello Everyone!
Up for sale is my 2003 Chevy Cavalier that I purchased at 35k miles from a dealership in Raliegh N.C. This has been a very dependable vehicle and has never left me stranded. I have all service records (since my ownership) which include oil changes and tire rotations every 3000 miles. The tires on the vehicle have roughly 50% left on them. The air conditioning is still blowing cold. The blue book value on this vehicle is $1600 at fair and $2100 at good condition. I would rate this vehicle at fair condition. It is a great car but does have some small mechanical issues. I am getting a new car and I need this out of my driveway. I have this sale set up as a buy it now or best offer. I will accept any reasonable offer over $1000. Please contact me with any questions. This vehicle is listed locally so I might pull this ad if it sells. Thanks so much for looking:) Anthony
Here are the issues:
Two years ago, the transmission started to make a quick grind sound when I would shift into 3rd gear. I never wanted to invest the $$$ to replace the transmission so I drove it as is. Despite this condition, I would still trust this car long distance.
The speedometer stopped working as well so I taped a GPS unit to the dash board so I would know my speed. I will include this GPS ($100 value) with the vehicle. Also, there is a crack on the plastic portion behind it so it covers it up.
There is an obvious cosmetic flaw with the drivers side door. It was accidentally bent backwards and then started to catch the front fender. I had the door fixed cheap so it would close but now the switch thinks its open so....the interior light stayed on. I pulled the bulb out to solve this problem. because of this, when the keys are in the ignition (and not turned forward), it will beep.
Another cosmetic flaw is the shifter boot clips must have broken at some point so it moves around. I tried to glue it once but think I used the wrong glue cause it didn't work. The one headlamp is pretty oxidized from the sun.
The radio (Pioneer) recently started having a small issue. There is a toggle switch on the radio which controls track, volume. It does not work but you can use the remote to control these things. The radio has the bluetooth feature and the Ipod connection in the glove box.
There are a couple of scratches on the outside of the vehicle that I will try to point out as best I can in the photos. A couple on the hood, roof and rear bumper. The front bumper has a little dent in it caused by one of those parking lot curbs. As you can see in one of the photos, there is some road tar on the one corner of the car. I dont have an tar remover to get this off so the next owner will have to remove it:) I have tried my best to point these out in the photos but it is difficult with a silver car. lol
The driver side seat has a long tear along the side so I picked up a seat cover and will include a second one as a back up.

Watch President Obama drive a Corvette around the White House
Thu, Dec 31 2015The season seven premiere of Jerry Seinfeld's web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee went live tonight on Crackle featuring the show's biggest guest so far. Yes, that's President Barack Obama driving a car around his front lawn. Seinfeld brings a classic Vette – a '63 split-window coupe with a 327 V8 and a stick!– to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the president to ride in and later drive in a circle. Though they don't leave the White House grounds and barely break a walking pace, Obama seems to enjoy the rare event. For the caffeinated portion of the episode, the president and Seinfeld sit down in the White House's staff dining room. They chat about the usual stuff – celebrity status, the seat warmers in The Beast, their daily routines, and cursing. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. From Crackle: Just Tell Him You're the President This is likely one of few times during Obama's two terms in office that he will get behind the wheel of a car. His VP Biden is no doubt jealous, as he owns a '67 Corvette 327 that the Secret Service won't let him drive. And yes, we realize Obama is not a comedian. There's probably a joke there, but we are not going to make it. Humor Chevrolet Videos jerry seinfeld comedians in cars getting coffee
Chevy Colorado Z71 Trail Boss 3.0 concept heads to SEMA
Mon, Nov 2 2015Chevrolet is presenting a new take on the Colorado pickup at the SEMA show this year. The show truck picks up where the Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition leaves off, with numerous accessories from the parts catalog as well as several custom additions. The SEMA truck is based on a Crew Cab model with four-wheel drive, painted red with rally stripes. Among the features added from the catalog are a sport bar with LED auxiliary lighting, mounted to the cargo bed. It's also stylistically augmented with fender blares, Bowtie emblems, and rocker steps all done up in black to match the 17-inch alloys shod with Goodyear DuraTrac all-terrain tires. Chevy has also equipped this truck with an automatic locking rear diff, a transfer case shield, recovery hooks at the front, a spray-in bedliner, projector-beam headlamps, fog lamps, and all-weather floor mats. Chevy has also fitted this pickup with color-keyed door handles and mirror caps, upgraded exhaust and air intake, rubber floor liners, brushed metal interior trim, and an illuminated grille badge. Public reception will determine how many of these and other additional features will be considered for production. Colorado Z71 Trail Boss 3.0 Concept Shows Off-Road Style New styling accessories, performance parts enhance trail-ready capability LAS VEGAS – The Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition is designed for those who want to blaze their own trails and Chevrolet's new Z71 Trail Boss 3.0 concept vehicle enhances its off-road style with new Chevrolet accessories and performance parts. Chevrolet introduced the new concept vehicle at the SEMA Show today, where it joined concept versions of the Silverado 1500 and HD models to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the brand's three-truck lineup. "The Colorado Z71 Trail Boss Edition is made for tackling the tough terrain required to get away from it all and this concept version does it with rugged style," said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. "And whether it's the Colorado, Silverado 1500 or Silverado HD, there's a Chevy truck to take you where you want to go, regardless of whether there's a road leading there." The production 2016 Colorado Z71 Trail Boss is offered in extended and crew cab configurations, with a choice of a long or short cargo bed and available 4WD – as well as the all-new 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel, which takes the maximum trailering rating up to 7,700 pounds.
Mark Reuss: GM can't afford product 'misses,' has 'thought about' CT6 V-Series
Thu, Apr 9 2015Mark Reuss is a busy man. He oversees General Motors' global product portfolio, an all-encompassing task for a company that sold more than 9.9 million cars and trucks last year. When GM launches a well-received product, like the road-going rocket ship that is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – he gets credit. When the company stumbles with the slow-selling Chevy Malibu or grapples with fallout from the decade-old Saturn Ion and its flawed ignition switch, he gets blamed. GM owners, the press and sometimes the federal government, demand answers. Bob Lutz famously held the job before Reuss. So did Mary Barra, who's now GM's chief executive. There's a New GM, but the lineage is connected to a long history. When he's not thinking product, Reuss, an executive vice president, also runs the purchasing and supply chain for the company, which is still one of the largest industrial empires in the world. We caught up with Reuss on the floor of the New York Auto Show, where GM had just rolled out two crucial new products: the 2016 Cadillac CT6 and the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu. Speaking with a small group of reporters, Reuss delved into a variety of subjects, including the new Malibu, Cadillac's future (he thinks the ATS-V is going to "flame the M3 and M4"), and other topics. On fixing the Malibu: "We can't miss. We can't have those kinds of misses [like the previous generation] on our cars and crossovers and trucks. We can't do that. If we do that, we give a reason for someone to go buy something else. It's that simple. "On a car like the Malibu we have a chance to really fix all of that, which we have, and then lead. Then you've got a real opportunity there. So that's what we've really been focused on here – to fix those things." He later added: "We need that car here to transform Chevrolet desperately because it's the heart of the market. And when you think of Chevrolet, people will come back and think about what we did with the [new] Malibu and the Cruze... It's hugely important to us." On Cadillac: "If we go out and try and out-German the Germans, it's probably not going to work. We've got an opportunity here generationally where there's a lot of people younger than me that have parents that drove BMWs and Mercedes, and I think there's an opportunity there for those people to drive something different than what their parents did, and I think that's always been an opportunity in the auto industry if you look at the history of it.
