A CAR-ENTHUSIAST, RACING FAN, OR COLLECTOR’S DREAM! This is a totally restored, period correct, immaculate 1967 Camaro SS made famous by Motion Performance, Baldwin Chevrolet and The Mason Brothers of Stratford, CT. Although it is not a Baldwin/Motion manufactured Camaro it’s our idea of a perfect replica. This is the first of ten cars to be restored, re-built and sold. Joseph Mason chose a motor off the shelf from Pat Musi Racing Engines and created a street-able 9.1 compression 560 hp, L-88 engine. By using a 1967 Pertronix ignition, Crane racing parts, new aluminum heads, and our 1968 Holley double pumper three barrel carburetor, we were able to achieve this complete restoration. Only OEM parts were used and this SS has all original steel, down to the last nut & bolt! The trunk interior was signed by the Musi Family, and the final destination was Ricks Restoration in Ararat, Virginia for the installation of the engine transmission drivetrain, final wiring in the nose of the vehicle and fiberglass Stinger hood We are sure these Camaro’s will rise in value in the years ahead, Call anytime with questions or comments. Enjoy some of my photos showing the 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle being restored, and a trip back to 1967-68 with our time spent with Motion Performance. The Baldwin sticker on the back of the Camaro is the real thing. Joseph Mason 203-377-7174

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala
Fri, 31 May 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.
Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
