built 99 z28 stroker. built from drivetrain to suspension. every suspension component is bmr except for the torque arm and that's umi. the engine is a 383 ls1 bored and stroked. Carbureted with prc ls6 stage 2.5 heads, ms4 cam, edlebrock victor junior intake and a holley 850 street hp. msd 6ls ignition control module for the ignition. transmission is built and includes new 3-4and 5-6 synchros, new 3-4 and 5-6 gears, steel 3-4 and 5-6 shift forks and billet keys. the clutch is a tick performance package with a monster stage 4, 6 puck clutch with a tick performance adjustable master cylinder. rear end is richond 10 bolt with ss axels and a 4.11 gear. everything mechanical is tight. all the car needs are the cosmetics. its a fresh build with about 1000 miles on it so I haven't ran it at the track. odometer says 176000 but that's just on the body. rpm and speedo do not work because of the carburetor setup but every other gauge works. The tach wire from the ignition control module is ran into the car for a tach which is coming soon unless sold before I buy one. estimated to about 550-600 hp.

Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. And that, to us, is a pretty good way to earn the daily bread. Check out the video above for the latest sinkhole update. Chevy keeps teasing next Camaro, 70 percent of parts unique to it [w/video]
Thu, Mar 19 2015"Turbo" Chevrolet Camaro is a 700-HP fantasy car come to life [w/video]
Thu, 07 Feb 2013For a concept car built to promote an animated movie about a snail that wants to go racing, this thing ain't half bad. The outsized monster you see before you started life as a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and then went through a big-time Hollywood makeover before being positioned on the Chevrolet stand here in Chicago.
This 2013 "Turbo" Camaro Coupe is getting the promotion machine ratcheted up for a new DreamWorks tale by the name of, you guessed it, Turbo. Coming this summer, the movie will follow one snail's quest to become a race driver worthy of making the cut at the Indy 500. Like many DreamWorks vehicles before it, we're guessing that the petrolhead snail will star in a movie that adults (especially racing fans) with have no trouble watching with their kids. Check out the trailer below to see if you agree.
As for the car, we're told that it is "instrumental" in transforming Turbo from snail into racer. Helping the beastly pony car in this mighty task, is an ankle-cracking front splitter matched by a ungodly huge rear wing out back, a COPO hood and a supercharged (yes, supercharged) V8 engine making more than 700 horsepower. 24-inch wheels all the way around - 10-inches wide in front and 15-inches wide in back - should allow the "Turbo" Camaro to hook up with ease, as well.
