Let me start by saying everyone who see's this car has been impressed. It is by far the nicest 1971 Camaro I have personally seen. The few times that I have taken her out, I get compliments and thumbs up each and every time.
This car just came from the well known restoration shop in Florida, where it just underwent a NO EXPENSE SPARRED Media blasted frame-off rotisserie restoration. All I can say is this car is OVER THE TOP.
And is a must see in person.

Now let me also say that you can bid with complete confidence, I am a 100% feedback eBay member and take pride in that.
Please call me in person with any question 941-740-2651 Kevin

This is the nicest 2nd generation camaro I have ever seen.
It is a real Super sport.
Powered by its big block 454 engine that was completely rebuilt and sounds awesome with its mild crane cam.

It is painted in the new limited edition camaro color of synergy green.

  Just some of the goodies.

NEW- oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, motor mounts, holley performer intake, holley carb, hooker headers, 2 1/2 Flow master exhaust, brake booster and master cylinder, fuel & brake lines, front & rear disc brakes, body mounts, Hotchkis 2" drop spindles, hotchkis coil springs, hotchkis front & rear sway bars, control arm bushings & shafts, center link, tie rods, idler arm, kyb shocks, everything on front & rear suspension, american racing torq-thrust II wheels, 17'' hankook tires, all new interior, ram flywheel, ram clutch & pressure plate, u-joints, hurst shifter, borg warner super T-10 transmission....
And so much more, truly a must see in person.

Please enjoy the photo's I have posted, but if you would like a specific photo just ask and I will take more.
I will be selling this car for a fraction of what it would take someone to duplicate, this car was finished late last year and now I am moving on to another Camaro. This time I am having a 1968 Z28 Camaro done and need some more $$$ to finish.
I hate to sell her but, cant wait to finish my other car it's a tradeoff.

I have put a little less than 600 miles on her since the restoration without any issues, the last trip was non stop 3 hour trip. This is an incredible car that gets attention each and every time it leaves my air conditioned garage.
Let me also say since the restoration it has not and will not see rain.
If you do not like attention or talking with people this car is Not for you.

This car is located in SW Florida and comes with a clean, clear Florida title.
Please call me to set up an appointment to come take a look, I am sure you will love it as much as I do.
If for some reason you cant come in person send an inspector, I would look forward to showing off my car.

Shipping is the buyers full responsibility. But I can help locate and set everything up if you decide.
The car can also stay in my garaged after purchase for a reasonable amount of time after the sale, it will be very safe in my alarmed garaged and will not be driven until shipper arrives.

I require a $1000.00 Non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction ending through pay-pal or in person is fine. Balance to be paid within 7 days of auction ending preferably through a bank wire.
Sorry but the car will NOT leave my garage until all funds have cleared my account. Please get permission before bidding, Thank you for viewing my ad and good luck bidding. I do have the car listed locally and reserve the right to end auction early.

GM shows off 'digital vehicle platform' enabling more in-car tech and OTA updates

Wed, May 22 2019

It appears to have dropped the sobriquet "Global B," but General Motors' new electrical architecture has bowed in drawings and video. This is the "digital vehicle platform" GM president Mark Reuss spoke to Reuters about in 2015, saying it would move a great deal of a vehicle's computer work to the cloud and enable over-the-air updates. Reuss took the microphone for the debut, too, saying, "Our new digital vehicle platform and its eventual successors will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving." The system will go into production later this year, appearing in dealerships first either on the 2020 Cadillac CT5 or the mid-engined 2020 Chevrolet Corvette. Yes, these are the same electronics cited for delaying the launch of the C8 Corvette over excessive draw, security and getting the more-than-100 computer modules to communicate seamlessly. When Car and Driver asked about that, GM replied with "No comment." Volkswagen's having the same issues with the Mk8 Golf right now, though, so GM isn't alone, and this will be the new normal among OEMs for a while. What's certifiable is that the new architecture is robust enough to handle 4.5 terabytes of data per hour, which is five times what GM's current wiring can handle. And thanks to Ethernet connections of 100 Mbps, 1 Gbs and 10 Gbs, communication within and without the vehicle happens much faster. The advances mean better screen resolutions, better battery management for hybrids and electric vehicles, the capability for over-the-air updates and "functionality upgrades throughout the lifespan of the vehicle." Cadillac's Super Cruise has already been lined up as a leading candidate for constant improvements in the driving assistance suite, a key part of GM's "vision for a world with zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion." And whenever GM decides to take the plunge, it will mean a 48-volt electrical system. More than 300 specialists worked on the digital platform, and security was a huge part of the task. We've already heard that GM consulted with Boeing and military contractors on how to prevent hacking. The carmaker has an internal Product Cybersecurity group that reached out to the research community, and created a "bug bounty" program to crowdsource uncovering any flaws.

Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step

Thu, Feb 2 2017

General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet. Bob Lutz says Tesla remains 'fringe' brand

Sun, Sep 28 2014

We've said it before, we'll said it again: Bob Lutz gives great quotes. From his toilet-themed opinion of global warming to Toyota's deity status, the man knows how to get your attention. His latest? Saying that Tesla Motors is and will remain a fringe brand. Take that, Tesla fanbois. This, of course, is the same fringe company that prompted Lutz and his former colleagues at General Motors to start working on the Chevy Volt around eight years ago. The same fringe company that has easily outsold the similarly priced (but don't call it a competitor) Cadillac ELR with its Model S. Lutz did clarify that the fringe status will only last until Tesla comes out with a mass-market electric vehicle that has a range of 200 to 300 miles. Lutz was on CNBC talking about the TSLA stock's recent performance, and he pointed out that even Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that the California automaker's stock is overvalued these days. Despite its prevalence around these parts, Tesla is not yet a household brand. But the company is working hard to get a cheaper, long-range EV to market in the not-too-distant future, so this fringe thing may not last much longer than that show Fringe did.
