THE CAMARO IS A SOLID RUST FREE CAR THAT WAS AN ORIGINAL 4 SPEED CAR FROM THE FACTORY, THE PEDALS ARE STILL PLACE AS ISTHE 4 SPEED HUMP ON THE FLOOR. THE BODY ON THE CAR IS SUPER SOLID AND STRAIGHT. THE CAR WAS TAKEN APART AND SANDED APPROPRIATELY, I WAS GOING TO HAVE THE CAR PAINTED PRIOR TO BEING ASSEMMBLED, ALTHOUGH PROFESSIONAL BODY SHOPS HERE ARE FEW AND TAKE FOREVER TO COMPLETE A CAR EVEN AT THIS STATE. THE CAR WAS SANDED AND PRIMED IN FILL AND SAND PRIMER, THE DOOR JAMS , FRONT COWL SECTION, UNDERTRUNK AND TRUNK JAMS WERE SANDED PROPERLY AND SHOT WITH A ADHESION PROMOTING SEALER, SO YOU DONT HAVE ANY PEELING LATER, ALL THE PARTS ON THIS CAR WERE SANDED AND PRIMED OFF THE CAR, THEN REASSEMBLED, I WAS PLANING A COLOR CHANGE AND I WANTED IT DONE RIGHT. THE ORIGINAL COLOR ON THIS CAR WAS OLYMPIC GOLD, I WAS LEANING MORE TO A BAHAMA BLUE, I WAS GOING TO HAVE IT SHOT PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY BUT LIKE I SAID PAINT AND BODY SHOPS IN MY AREA TAKE A LONG TIME TO COMPLETE A QUALITY PAINT JOB.
LIKE I MENTIONED THE CAR IS VERY STRAIGHT AND SEEMED TO BE PRETTY BONDO FREE, THE CAR DOES HAVE FIBERGLASS FRONT FENDERS AND A FIBERGLASS 5" COWL HOOD, NEW GRILL,, I DO HAVE A PAIR OF STEEL FENDERS THAT NEED A LITTLE WORK THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR.
I RECENTLY STRIPPED THE FRONT FRAME SECTION SHOT IT IN A SATIN BLACK FINISH, HAD NEW ENERGY SUSPENSION UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHING INSTALLED, NEW TIE ROD ENDS, NEW MOROSO BIG BLOCK TRICK SPRINGS, NEW SUMMIT ADJ. SHOCKS, NEW 2" DROPPED SPINDLES, NEW ROTORS, NEW CALIPERS, NEW STEEL BRAIDED BRAKE HOSES, THE REAR SUSPENSION RETAINS ALL ITS ORIGINAL PIECES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF , I WAS TOLD GUN DRILLED AXLES, 410 PRO GEARS WITH A SPOOL, ADJUSTABLE REAR SHOCKS, DATED TRACTION BARS, THE FRAME IS TIED WITH FRAME CONNECTORS. SUPER SOLID FLOORS AND FRAME.
THE CAMARO COMES WITH A BUILT MANUAL BODY TURBO 350 WITH A 3800 STALL TORK CONVERTER WORKS AWESOME,COMES WITH FUEL SYSTEM, NEW HOLLEY BLUE PUMP, NEW RUSSEL INLINE FUEL FILTER, NEW MSD 6AL BOX, NEW MSD COIL, THE CAR IS READY FOR THE ENGINE EVERYTHING ELSE IS THERE.
THE INTERIOR IS ALL THERE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE REAR SEAT, DUE TO THE ROLL CAGE, ALTHOUGH I WAS PLANNING ON REMOVING THE CAGE AND I FOUND A BACK SEAT BACK, THAT IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE I AM THROWING IN. THE CAR RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL DASH , THE PAD IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, THE ORIGINAL GUAGE CLUSTER WAS REPLACED WITH AN AFTERMARKET PIECE WITH AUTOMETER GUAGES, THE ORIGINAL HEADLINER IS INPLACE, NEW CARPET, AFTERMARKET RACING BUCKET SEATS WITH SLIDERS, B&M SHIFTER, AFTERMARKET ALUMINUM DOOR PANELS, THESE CARS CAME WITH A 3 PIECE TYPE DOOR PANEL, I DID AQUIRE A PAIR OF BOTTOM PIECES I WILL THROW IN.
DID RUN THIS CAR LAST YEAR WITH A MILD BIG BLOCK IT RAN HIGH 11 SECONDS DOWN THE QUARTER, UNFORTUNATLY MY HEALTH ISSUES HAVE CHANGED MY RACING PLANS, SO I AM SELLING THE CAR.
THE CAR IS ENGINE READY, RADIATOR WITH ELECTRIC FAN IS INCLUDED,BBC HOOKER BIG TUBE HEADERS ARE INCLUDED, JUST ADD YOUR ENGINE AND HIT THE STREET OR STRIP, THE CAR HAS WORKING HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS.
IM SURE I FORGOT SOMETHING SO EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I MIGHT CONSIDER A TRADE FOR A STREET READY CHEVELLE EL CAMINO.
THE CAR WILL BE ADVERTISED IN OTHER PLACES SO I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELL PRIOR TO THE AUCTION END...AND I DO HAVE THE RIGHT NOT TO SELL THE CAR IF THE WINNING BIDDER IS NOT IN THE USA.....LAST CAR I ADVERTISED ON EBAY THE WINNING BIDDER WAS FROM AUSTRAILIA, AND I HAD ADVERTISED THE CAR IN US ONLY, WHEN I DIDNT SELL THE CAR, EBAY ALOWED A NEGATIVE AGAINST ME..
PLEASE EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS,,THIS IS REALLY A NICE CAR FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS AN ENGINE ON STAND WAITING FOR THE RIGHT CAR.

AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction
Sat, Sep 9 2023Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics
'84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia
Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models. Ford also working on 200-mile EV to compete with Bolt, Model 3
Fri, Mar 6 2015The Chevrolet Bolt is on a lot of people's radars. You may have even noticed friends and colleagues who harbor very little interest in the automotive world, or anything labeled as "green," who have taken notice of a 200-mile electric vehicle coming out of Detroit. Mass appeal is the idea, after all. You can include Ford in the list of interested parties, in this case with the intention of taking direct aim at the Bolt – and, by proxy, the Tesla Model 3 – with an affordable, long-range EV of its own. Ford will unveil its own long-range EV, positioned to compete with Chevrolet, later this year, according to Automobile. Details are very scarce about Ford's plans, but we do know that the Bolt (or whatever the Chevy all-electric hatchback will end up being called) is expected to offer over 200 miles of driving between charges, with a sticker price around $30,000. The other major player, of course, is Tesla's smaller, more affordable sibling to the Model S. The Model 3, also slated to go on sale in 2017, should cost less than $40,000. While Tesla has established itself in the EV world, another long-range EV out of Detroit would win some customers from the California-based startup. For now, though, we'll just have to wait, as Ford remains tight-lipped about its plans for the car. Automobile predicts a possible unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, what with California's EV mandate being a driver of strategy for various automakers. Most can agree, though, that a larger field of options – while not ideal for backers of the Bolt or Model 3 – will only benefit the car-buying public.
