MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon

MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.

Sunday Drive: From a mid-engine 'Vette to a restomod RV

Automotive enthusiasts are a diverse bunch. As proof, we present last week's top posts on Autoblog, starting with some really good spy photos of the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. Will it be sold alongside a classic front-engine 'Vette? We have no idea, but we can't wait to find out. Up next is a pickup truck. Can't get much further from a supercar, right? At least both the Corvette and the 2019 Ram 1500 – which will debut a radical new design that appears to eschew the mini big-rig look of past Rams in favor of something more refined – are both American. Decidedly not American? The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The boxy off-road 'ute looks a heck of a lot like the old one, which is probably a good thing, but we know it'll be fancier and more luxurious than ever before. Check out the leaked images below. Also hailing from Germany, but sharing absolutely nothing else in common at all, is the Audi A4 Allroad. We've been driving this all-wheel-drive wagon for a while now, and we like it quite a bit. And, last but not least, is a 1959 bus that's been converted into an RV. Like we said, y'all certainly are a diverse bunch. Here's the production Chevy Bolt

"It looks like a Volt had an evening of regrets with an i3." That's AutoblogGreen editor-in-chief Sebastian Blanco talking about the car you see here, the 2017 Chevy Bolt. Our trusty spy photographers caught the new Bolt EV fully uncovered at a photo shoot, ahead of its official debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. To say the styling looks familiar would be an understatement. There's a lot of Volt elements here, and the nod to the BMW i3 is definitely valid. It's not unattractive, it's just sort of, well, there. Never mind, the Bolt will have a lot going for it when it launches, should earlier rumors come to fruition. The hatchback is expected to have a 200-mile electric range, and should cost right around $30,000 after incentives. The Bolt will be built in Michigan, and will likely arrive at dealers in early 2017. Chevy knows this one's going to be huge, and the company is fully committed to launching and marketing the Bolt the right way. We'll have the full details in January at CES.
