This is a 1987 Iroc-z. It has been garage kept its whole life since it was originally sold. This car ONLY HAS 74,000 ORIGINAL miles on it. From what I can tell this shows to be what i understand to be a "Survivor Car" meaning all original equipment with no modifications. Except I just had this car painted 2 months ago by a professional body shop to the exact original color of the car which is white and ordered the very best decal kit for the car and had them put on. The new decals are OER meaning that they are exactly the same quality and just like what originally came on the car from the factory. This car has almost every option that you could get from the factory. The inside of the car is in excellent condition and everything is original. It has the complete overhead console with the map light and dome light and a cool little flashlight that stores in the dome light. I have the original bag for the T-tops and it is in great shape also. It has the original GM louvers for the back glass and they are in excellent condition. The car also has the cover for the back storage area that is spring loaded and retracts into itself. The exterior color is white. The interior is black. The car has almost new tires on it. They have less than 7,000 miles on them. This is a two owner car and you can definitely tell it is because it is so clean. I have kept this car inside the whole time that i have had it. I have not drove this car very much, just to a few car shows, in some local parades, and every now and then when its sunny outside and I can take the T-tops out and cruise. I have really enjoyed the car but am willing to sell so as to be able to venture on to bigger and better things. I think the a/c might need recharged because it blows kind of cold air and all the parts look to be there under the hood. The inside of the car could stand a very light cleaning but I have pretty much kept everything clean since I've had it. The DASH PAD IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is probably one of the only cars you will find with an original dash in this great of condition Please feel free to call me with any questions about the car that you may have. My number is 1-870-758-1516. Call me day or night. I will deliver this car anywhere within 700 miles of my zip code (72455) for an additional charge of $1.65 per loaded mile. If you would like me to deliver please contact me prior to the end of the auction so we can figure out all the details. I will accept cash, money order, Paypal, credit card check, personal check. Before car is shipped or picked up, the payment must be recieved and cleared through my financial institution. A deposit of $500.00 must be made within 48 hrs of the end of the auction and full payment received within 7 days of end of auction. This car is for sale locally so as the seller I reserve the right to end the auction at any time due to local sale or any other reason deemed necessary by me the seller. Again, this car is a once in a lifetime Camaro and anyone who owns it will hopefully be as happy with it as i have been. Thanks and happy bidding.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
Next-generation GMC Canyon, Chevy Colorado spied together
Mon, Jun 13 2022With the debut of the next-generation GMC Canyon coming in a couple of months (in off-road-ready AT4 guise no less), it's no surprise that both it and the Chevy Colorado are out testing without the heavy coverings of early prototypes. One of our spy photographers caught examples of both trucks with close-fitting vinyl wraps. This gives us a great opportunity to see each pickup more clearly, but also to compare and contrast the designs. From the front, the GMC features a narrower, but seemingly taller grille. At the top are slender lamps. They seem to be daytime running lights, though, and below them are much larger units that will function as the actual headlights. The prototype shown seems to be one of the AT4 variants, based on the lack of a lower air dam and the opened up corners of each bumper. Small fog lights show up in the lower bumper, too. As for the Chevy, its grille is wider, and it blends into the headlights. The lights are at the top of the grille, and they seem to incorporate the actual headlights, not just running lamps. The grille mesh has some interesting detailing, and there are auxiliary lights below the main headlights. This one seems to be a more mainstream Colorado model since it still has a front air dam, possibly a Z71 model, considering the chunky tires. Not surprisingly, the two trucks are very similar from the sides and the rear. They have cabins that look lower, longer and more squared-off than the current models. The fenders look more punched out and aggressive, too. The main differentiator between the Chevy and GMC are the wheel openings. The GMC has sharp corners and the Chevy has more rounded ones, as is the case with the full-size trucks. As previously mentioned, the GMC Canyon AT4 will be revealed this summer, so likely in just a month or two. The Colorado will likely be revealed this summer, too. It's expected that it will use the turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder shared with the Silverado. Naturally, it will be available with two- and four-wheel drive and a variety of trim levels including the AT4 and ZR2 off-road versions. Related video:
Very first Chevy Camaro found and restored
Thu, Feb 26 2015Restoring an important classic car can lead people down rabbit hole upon rabbit hole of discovered history in a process that's essentially automotive genealogy. Take the recent rejuvenation of the very first Chevrolet Camaro as an example. The owners started with a strong hunch that the vehicle might be something special and spent years researching to figure it all out before the mechanical work even began. Fisher Body kicked off work on the first Camaro on May 17, 1966, and it was delivered to General Motors just a few days later for final assembly. While the model has earned a place as an American performance icon since then, the original was built more to develop the production process and boasted just a 230-cubic-inch (3.8-liter) inline six and 3-speed transmission. After spending its first few months appearing in promotions, a Chevy dealer in Oklahoma got the gold car in December of '66. It was touted on the sales floor there for years, and the first private owner didn't come until 1969. This short documentary goes into astonishingly comprehensive detail about every bit of the first Camaro's history. If you just want to hear the story of the latest owners and their work to get the vehicle restored since 2010, skip about 11 minutes into the video. Or, of course, you could just enjoy the whole thing. News Source: PilotCarRegistry via YouTube, Camaro NewsTip: Chris P.
