I am selling a one of a kind 1969 Camaro.  This is the ONE that you are looking for!!  I purchased it because it was the ONE I was looking for and then I did a few upgrades on it.  After I purchased this Camaro I replaced the front springs, did a full tune-up including carburetor rebuild, plugs, wires, etc.  I installed a new battery and voltage regulator.  Basically, anything that it needed, I did!

Included in the pictures is a screen shot of the description from when I purchased this Camaro.  I will paraphrase it below, but look at the photo of the previous description.

This is NOT a trailer queen, but it is one of the NICEST drivers you will find!!  It draws a crowd every time I take it out.  The paint on this car was done back in the '90's and still looks pretty AWESOME!  It is VERY slick with no orange peel.  There are some stress cracks and a chip or nick that you can find, but for 20 year old paint, YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE IT!!  There is absolutely NO RUST ANYWHERE!!  There are no rust patches or anything covered up!  The floor pans and truck pan are SOLID as a ROCK!!.  The only panels that have been replaced are the quarters and they were done years ago and are full GM!!!

The interior is original to the Camaro and are the DELUXE BLACK AND WHITE HOUNDSTOOTH (code 713) and it is in VERY GOOD condition.  FACTORY TACH and CONSOLE GUAGES (all working), and I was told the mileage is accurate!!!

The ENGINE and DRIVETRAIN is the best part of this car!!  A few years ago the previous owner installed a 358ci small block engine that he had RACED in a NASCAR LM Stock car back in 1995 and 1996.  He had sold all the race cars and stuff but kept this high dollar engine (about $10,000 back in the mid 1990's!!!!!).  He then bolted a pair of ALUMINUM HEADS, A MATCHED PORT VICTOR JR INTAKE and  an 850cfm DEMON CARB.  So, sit down, shut up and hang on!!!!!!!  She is quick and a hi-rever!!  It sounds different from ANYTHING that you have ever heard!!  REAR is a 12 bolt multi leaf with 4.10 gears and a LOCKED spool and A LOT of fun if you know how to drive it!!!.  Also, it has 4 WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES AND POWER STEERING!!!  18in front and 20in rear wheels on almost NEW TIRES!  It was an a/c car from the factory, but that has all been taken off.

I can go and on about this AWESOME CAMARO, cause i love it!  But, please come check it out for yourself.  YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!  I reserve the right to end this auction at any time for any reason.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part three

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and has an associates degree in dropping f-bombs. For Part One, click here. Part Two is here. Really hoped I'd be able to grab an hour or two of sleep before the sun rose over Le Mans. Dark dark dark, couldn't figure out what was going on. Commentators struggled at times as well. But I couldn't do it. Endurance racing is just too exciting. Grabs my attention with both fists. Screams, "watch these men DRIVE!" A neighbor invited me over for drinks. Told him, "Can't do it, gotta watch Le Mans!" Maybe not exactly. I'll admit, at times my attention wandered. I did a load of laundry. Ate some snacks. Half listened to the commentary. Threw a hump at my wife. I learned that Patrick Long, driving #88, is big brother to Kevin "Spanky" Long. Spanky's a bit of a legend in the skate world. Always weird how top notch talent can run in families like that. Kind of surprised I've never heard that before. Worked for a skate mag for a years, met Spanky a handful of times. Someone must've told me that he has an older brother who drives race cars. Dash cams at night are scary. High powered headlights in the P1s reach almost 300 meters. Cars outrun that distance easy. Seems like they're just steering into the black and hoping for the best. But that can't be the case. People'd be dropping dead let and right. Very amused by how the guys in GT are like, "Dude, stop flashing your fucking lights before you pass." But the LMP's are all, "Suck a dick! I do what I want." Top three stayed neck and neck nearly all night long. As the sun gets ready to creep back over the horizon the top three are separated by only eleven and a half seconds. Toyota 5 and 6, Porsche 2. Audi 8 is two laps behind Porsche, beleaguered 7 is dealing with constant trouble eleven laps from the front. GTE Pro sees Ferrari 82 in first, Ford 68 and 69 right behind. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect. Fours cars retired so far. I'm beginning to appreciate the endurance aspect a little more fully. Only really considered the drivers at first. The mental and physical stress driving these cars at these speeds at length would inflict. But keeping the damn things running is the real deal. To win you've gotta drive perfect, build perfect.
