1967 Chevrolet Camaro running and driving project car. Engine is a 350 with center bolt heads. Trans is TH350. Rear is original 10 bolt , not sure of gears. It does run and drive , but not very well. I replaced the plugs and carb. It ran great at first , but fouled the plugs after driving for a few miles. I believe my local auto parts expert recommended the wrong plugs. Carb is not included in sale. It will have a different carb on it before end of auction. Had a black vinyl roof when i bought it. I removed to see condition of metal. It was a lot better than I expected. Only a couple small holes near windshield molding and rear glass. There was some scale rust under the vinyl , so there is some pitting. I was going to skim coat it with some filler and primer , but I don't want it to look like I was hiding something. I removed the rear glass tomake sure there was no further damage. In my opinion this car does NOT need the roof replaced. It is an original vinyl roof car , so the roof surface was never perfect. The rest of the body is very solid , except for the trunk. Needs a partial trunk pan replaced , but it is still solid near the inner wheel wells. There are a couple small holes in the passenger side rocker. Interior is decent. Drivers side seat has a burn hole. Rear seat back needs replaced. I have included a picture of the cowl tag. It was built at the Norwood plant in late June. Original V8 sport coupe. Most likely a 327 powerglide. Orginal color was Medium Turquoise with a black vinyl top. Black standard bucket seats with no head rests. Only options were center console and exterior moldings (both missing). Some orginal paint is visible on most panels , but it does appear to have had 1/4s , floor and rockers replaced. It needs some brake work. It does stop , but pedal is very low and hard. Overall it is a very solid , first year Camaro. With a little work it could be a driver or great candidate for a restoration , restomod or clone . Please email or call with questions before bidding. Vehicle is available for inspection during duration of auction. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping. I may be able to assist in local delivery , but contact me and confirm before bidding. Sold as is with no implied warranty or guarantee. I have a clear PA title in my name. Will not release car or title until full payment is received. For sale local , so auction can end early. Thanks , Chris 215-852-8869

Very first Chevy Camaro found and restored
Thu, Feb 26 2015Restoring an important classic car can lead people down rabbit hole upon rabbit hole of discovered history in a process that's essentially automotive genealogy. Take the recent rejuvenation of the very first Chevrolet Camaro as an example. The owners started with a strong hunch that the vehicle might be something special and spent years researching to figure it all out before the mechanical work even began. Fisher Body kicked off work on the first Camaro on May 17, 1966, and it was delivered to General Motors just a few days later for final assembly. While the model has earned a place as an American performance icon since then, the original was built more to develop the production process and boasted just a 230-cubic-inch (3.8-liter) inline six and 3-speed transmission. After spending its first few months appearing in promotions, a Chevy dealer in Oklahoma got the gold car in December of '66. It was touted on the sales floor there for years, and the first private owner didn't come until 1969. This short documentary goes into astonishingly comprehensive detail about every bit of the first Camaro's history. If you just want to hear the story of the latest owners and their work to get the vehicle restored since 2010, skip about 11 minutes into the video. Or, of course, you could just enjoy the whole thing. News Source: PilotCarRegistry via YouTube, Camaro NewsTip: Chris P. Hot air balloons caught in high winds drag fullsize SUV
Mon, Jul 20 2015A sudden storm front whipped up enough wind to send some hot air balloons flying into the air in Wisconsin over the weekend. One ballon proved so energetic that it was able to drag a fullsize SUV across a field and into a stand of tents. The freak accident occurred at Balloonfest in Waterford, Wisconsin. Spectators were horrified as balloons dragged handlers to the ground and launched with terrified pilots clinging to their baskets. Organizers had started packing up the colorful balloons due to ominous storm clouds when the wind kicked up. "Happened just like that; it was crazy," Nathan Fricke, crew member, told Fox 6. Winds were clocked at 40 to 50 miles per hour. A balloon caught in the wind dragged a large SUV (we think a Suburban or Yukon XL) hundreds of feet and into a cluster of tents on the edge of the staging area where balloons were on display for festival goers. Considering that the SUV surely weighs well over 5,000 pounds, it's lucky that no one was injured in the incident. News Source: Fox6Now Weird Car News Chevrolet GM GMC SUV
