1972 Chevrolet CKE10 Short Bed Pickup.  I have a clear title in my name. This is a good running, daily driver, Chevrolet Pickup. It has the short bed, four wheel drive and a four speed manual transmission. The truck has its original engine and transmission. You could fly into Salt Lake City and drive this truck anywhere. Please look closely at all of the photos. The truck still needs some work, but nothing major. The truck has a new grille, new front bumper, new seat cover, and new cab mounts that were professionally installed. All of the glass is good and the tires have good tread. The truck has power steering and power brakes that work properly. The paint is new and looks very good, but is not show quality. Please look closely at all of the photos. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are buying. I highly value my 100% 685 positive feedback score on Ebay. The reserve on the truck is will under the trucks value.  If you have any questions, or concerns, please don't hesitate to give me a call. My phone number is (801) 745-5835. I'm not a dealer. I love old cars and trucks and I have to sell one of my projects. The original Shop Manual comes with the Truck. I will gladly assist the shipper you select to ship the truck anywhere in the world.

I want you to know exactly what you are buying. With this in mind, I will go over all of the problem area on the truck. This is a good running, driving truck, but it is "driver" quality. 1. The new paint is in the original color, but there is some over-spray on the rubber seals. I was planning on replacing the seals so the over spray was not a concern when I had the truck painted. 2. The rear bumper is in pretty good shape, but it is missing the rear bumper brackets. The rear bumper and better arm rests come with the truck. 3. The truck had a factory PTO, and some of the parts are still attached to the transmission. These parts can be removed and (on or off) they do not effect the driving of the truck. 4. The bed has a painted on lining which looks good from a distance, but there are small dents in the bed and rear wheel wells. 5. The wiper arms are rough.

If you have less than 5 positive feedbacks in your Ebay feedback score, please call or email me before bidding.

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.

Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain

Sat, Aug 9 2014

Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S. GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
