Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, you can’t miss this truck coming down the road. Painted with 2008 Hummer Inferno Orange with custom designs on the rear gate and clear coated to perfection, this beauty certainly catch your eye. Only 3k miles since truck has been completely restored. The truck is solid and straight with all new lights and a polished Billet grill. A custom cowl induction hood with a new front fiberglass bumper and bumper delete rear valence. Custom 5 Star wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires makes this truck stand strong. Also, a custom bed rug really gives it that extra show quality look. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have

Interior:As you can see from the pictures the interior is in excellent/show condition. All new door panels, carpets and custom two tone seating gives this truck just enough customization to link the exterior to the interior. Everything works including all the gauges and even the a/c blows ice cold. Even notice the custom speaker overhead console. Again, there is such a thing as over doing it, but for this truck, this is NOT the case. It is not over the top and was built for both power and comfort and this interior proves it. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drivetrain:The engine is a High Output GM crate motor with a 4 bolt main. It delivers 330 horse at 5000 rpm and 380 ft lbs of torque at only 3800 rpm. The block features 9.1:1 compression with a dual pattern camshaft with .435”/.460”lift and 212/222 degrees duration at .050”. Cast iron crank and powdered metal connecting rods. Also comes with a 600cfm Holley carb with Vortec Cast Iron Heads and Aluminum Intake. All this is married to TH400 3 speed tranny w/shift kit and connected a 3.73 Posi Rear. Custom dual exhaust makes this truck sound perfect. A lot of time and money was spent on the build of this truck and underneath is as detailed as the above. Not to mention all the chrome accessories under the hood that just completes the theme of this truck. The truck is ready for show or go and again, only has 3k miles since its complete rebuild. Please let us know of any more questions you may have.

This is a really fun truck to drive.

GM may kill 6 car models as it works with UAW to tackle sales slump

Fri, Jul 21 2017

The president of the United Auto Workers union said on Thursday the union is talking with General Motors about the potential threat to plants and jobs from slumping U.S. car sales. GM's response will be more trucks and SUVs, and sources say at least six slow-selling car models may be killed off. "We are talking to (GM) right now about the products that they currently have" at underused car plants such as Hamtramck in Michigan and Lordstown in Ohio, and whether they might be replaced with newer, more popular vehicles such as crossovers, Dennis Williams told reporters. "We are tracking it (and) we are addressing it," Williams added. GM has cut shifts at several U.S. plants this year as inventories of unsold cars have ballooned. Industry analysts said more jobs could be at risk as the automaker wrestles with permanently shrinking production of small and midsized sedans. GM is reviewing whether to cancel at least six passenger cars in the U.S. market after 2020, including the Chevrolet Volt hybrid, which could be replaced in 2022 with a new gasoline-electric crossover model, Reuters has learned from people familiar with the plans. Other GM cars at risk include the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Impala and Chevrolet Sonic, sources said. Some analysts have singled out GM's Hamtramck plant in Detroit as one of the most vulnerable because of plummeting car sales. The plant, which opened in 1985, builds four slow-selling models: Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Impala, Cadillac CT6 and Chevrolet Volt. In the first half, it built fewer than 35,000 cars, down 32 percent from the same period in 2016, according to suppliers familiar with GM's U.S. production schedule. The typical GM assembly plant builds 200,000-300,000 vehicles a year.COMING ATTRACTIONS: TRUCKS AND SUVS GM must "create some innovative new products" to replace slow-selling sedans "or start closing plants," said Sam Fiorani, vice president of AutoForecast Solutions. The auto maker already has begun to shift future production plans from cars to trucks, according to Morgan Stanley auto analyst John Murphy. He estimates that fewer than 10 percent of the new vehicle models that GM will introduce over the next four years will be passenger cars, with the rest divided among trucks, SUVs and crossovers. GM plans to add production of the new Cadillac XT4 crossover next year to its Malibu sedan plant in Fairfax, Kansas.

Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. He still has no plans to get rid of it, saying, "It just becomes a part of you." You can watch his story in the video above. News Source: KARE11.com Chevrolet Truck Classics Videos
