Klamath Falls, Oregon, United States

I purchased this pickup today, I am selling it as I found it, similar to a barn find but was in the owners back yard.  This is a dry climate and rust is not an issue. Has a nice front grill, didn't see any cracked glass. It is a V8, build sheet said it came with a 305, but the owner said the engine was replaced so it could have a 350, do not know at this time.   I will be moving it to a storage yard on Saturday.  Buyer is welcome to leave it there for as long as it takes to pick it up.  It will be at a professional storage yard with complete fencing so no parts will show up missing.  The cost will be $35.00 per month, if picked up within a couple weeks i will absorb that cost.  The hood is still in very good condition, most of these get bent, the tail gate looks fine, inside of bed looks good, cab could use a good cleaning, but the truck is straight other than the r/h door, and it closes as it should other than the dent in it.  I am going to post the factory equipment list that is in the glove box to view equipment it came with.  Seller said they have owned it for years, it was parked mainly do to the transmission issue.  I would rather sell this pickup cheaper than put new tires, and do things to it the next buyer doesn't want.  It has front locking hubs, says factory locking differential, Tilt, Paint is what you see in the pictures.  Please bid on it with the intention you have a great start pickup and use it for hunting or make it nice.  I don't want to sell this on ebay and then sell it when it is picked up, bidding on what is in pictures..  I expect payment in full within 2 Business Days via payment method agreed upon by both buyer and seller.  It is a long bed CK10903.  Doesn't look like it was a California Smog vehicle, I do not see YF5 Cal Smog on build sheet.  Built Sept 17th, 1982

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)

UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
