For sale is a heavily modified 1983 Chevrolet C10 with a 383 stroker built from ATK performance builders in Texas. The engine has the following high-build components: SCAT Crank, KB piston heads, hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock Performer Intake, Holley Quick Fuel 4bbl carb, Edelbrock Performer engine heads. Brand new MSD with plugs, Griffin performance radiator ($1,200.00) with dual Flexa-Lite fans, high-capacity alternator, new fuel pump from Edelbrock, and new water pump. There are also a pair of Hooker Headers coming off the 383 linked to true dual exhaust with 40 series FlowMasters.
For transmission, there is a 700R4 with a shift kit installed from Monster Transmission. It is built to run through the gears fast. This drive train has less than 1,000 miles since re-built in 2011. This is basically a brand new classic truck that dynos approximately 440 HP. The front end brakes were converted to disc brakes and completely re-done. The rear brakes still have drums set-up.
The truck has a 3" body lift to accommodate the brand new BF Goodrich All-Terrains that are wrapped around 17" chrome ULTRA wheels.
Inside, you will notice a completely custom black and blue seat and door panels. There's a brand new dashboard, Sony Speakers, and Sony CD player that accommodates an IPOD or IPhone. The speakers are also amped. The truck has power windows, power locks, and cruise control straight from the factory. Air condition equipped but needs to be hooked up.
On the outside, you will notice an Extang Tonneau cover, upgraded front bumper, side markers, and headlights. The paint is classic 80's two-tone light and dark blue. There are minor blemishes in the paint that cause it to be driver-quality paint but easily mended at your local specialist. Last paint job was in 2003.
This is a Colorado native truck and as such has little rust on the frame.
This is a high-end build that cannot accompany me on my military move. I've got over 25,000.00 invested in this truck and you will not be able to build one for any less. I've got all receipts from the engine, transmission, electronics, and all upgrades from an ASE certified local performance shop to prove when everything was installed.
Text Greg at 443-375-8507 for more information or reply via email using the eBay mail relay. Happy Holidays and thanks for looking. I've also got a few walk-around videos on my IPhone that I can send to you to show all angles of the vehicle. If you are out of state, you will pay shipping costs. Serious inquiries only, and I do not need help selling this vehicle.

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
EarthCruiser adds a bigger camper option to its heavy duty pickup line
Tue, Sep 29 2020EarthCruiser is a camper and expedition vehicle company based out of Oregon that we've previously covered for its huge commercial truck-based machines. But they offer more than that, from drop-in campers for smaller pickups to heavy duty pickup conversions. The company's latest product is one of the latter, offering a larger camping area than the current EXD model. This new camper conversion is called the Terranova. The big differentiator between it and the EXD is the camper section, which extends over the truck cab on the Terranova. This means that bed space can be moved to above the truck cab, instead of having to use a convertible dinette. So less reconfiguring, and generally more usable space. One other major difference is that the EXD is only available for the Ram 3500 and Ford F-350. The Terranova is being designed for both of those trucks as well as the Chevy Silverado 3500. The EarthCruiser Terranova is otherwise very similar to other EarthCruiser models. The camper section is made of fiberglass and plastic, and the pop-up roof is insulated with foam. The curtains are triple-layered. The company says it can house four people. It comes with a freshwater tank and pump to help supply the kitchen sink, drinking water tap, bathroom sink and indoor and outdoor showers. There's also a cassette toilet. The kitchen features an induction stove top and small refrigerator and freezer. A fan system is standard, and air conditioning is optional. Power comes from a 400-aH lithium-ion battery. The Terranova isn't yet available. EarthCruiser is finishing up design and engineering, and it plans to have finished examples early next year. The company is taking reservations now, though. Pricing hasn't been announced, but an EXD runs between $220,000 and $265,000, and we would expect the Terranova to cost even more.
