Hey there classic 4x4 people, here is one of the coolest trucks ever !! I am a car dealer in south texas and i got this truck from a longtime friend and customer and he had a great collection of vehicles. this one is a 4x4 ,short bed, super clean 68 that was extensively restored about 6 or 7 years ago it has some small scratches and nicks now but wow it is still spectacular in every way. it has a 454 big block engine that runs and sounds great ,not all cammed out. it has awesome chevy orange paint and body that was done by chuck scalise ,the best around, there are a few small rust bubbles starting on the bottom of the door now but very small, it has black leather seats and trim , nardi wood steering wheel, under dash air conditioning, full classic gauge package upgrade, power steering and brakes, automatic transmission, dual exhaust, bf goodrich tires, chevy rallye wheels, full silverado trim, rhino liner bed, tinted glass, cd player, excellent chrome and trim, windows and locks work except the passenger door is not unlocking right now ? in short this is a little work of chevy art !! we have all kinds of exotic cars here and this truck gets more admiration then anything we have! look at the pictures .this truck has had well over 20000 invested and it is ready to enjoy. i am going to sell it so please bid on it and be serious , i have it for sale locally and i am getting a lot of interest. like any 45 year old vehicle it will have some minor stuff to tinker with. it is awesome, not new.the speedo shows 4085 miles but that is not correct , i do not know the true mileage, all vehicles that are over 10 years old are sold mileage exempt in texas . any questions call jay at 956 624 2669 . we can arrange shipping about any where in the world at the buyers expense and we are helpful . this truck is true american in my book !

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.

NHTSA approves hybrid rearview mirror display in Cadillac CT6, Bolt EV
Tue, Feb 23 2016The Chevy Bolt EV prototype doesn't just have a fancy new all-electric powertrain. Just outside the driver's line of sight is a newfangled rearview mirror, one that can turn into a screen that shows a moving image from the rear-facing camera. Speaking to NPR's Robert Siegel yesterday, Department of Transportation secretary Anthony Foxx said that NHTSA has now approved this type of mirror/screen for use in vehicles. According to a letter from NHTSA to General Motors, GM will likely use this Full Display Mirror first in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 before coming to the Bolt. In its letter to GM, NHTSA said that the Full Display Mirror will only qualify as a standard rearview mirror as long as there are normal side mirrors in place. In other words, don't expect to see cameras and screens replacing all the mirrors in a motor vehicle just yet. @AutoblogGreen @NPR - #NHTSA has OK'd GM rear-view system that can switch between mirror & camera views. pic.twitter.com/6CBeIit10v — Anthony Foxx (@SecretaryFoxx) February 22, 2016 The Full Display Mirror was developed by Gentex, which has long worked with GM. The FDM debuted in 2014 and some people hoped it would also make its way into the Tesla Model X. Gentex, which also makes auto-dimming mirrors, says that it has "set out to develop the technologies and core competencies necessary to manage this evolution of the rearview mirror." The Chevy Bolt EV will start at $37,500, before incentives. The 200-mile EV will go into production late this year for likely sale in early 2017. Related Video:
