Couple minor scratches here and there. Nothing major. It is a truck. Glass is clean. Doors open and close easily. The is chrome plated aluminum 20" wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus 275/40ZR20 tires. The tires are in very good condition with very few miles on them. Interior is again simple. Newer grey cloth working power seats with flip down center console. Vinyl floor. Stock painted dash. Again simple and functional. New Slapstick Spectra auto floorshifter. Sunpro tachometer and engine monitoring gauge package to keep engine in check. Underhood is the gem of this truck. Tons of brand new components with all documentation and receipts for everything installed. To start with a very low mileage (approx. 30,000) 1978 Chevy 454 RV engine was freshened and installed. This consisted of regasketing the motor completely from top to bottom. A Summit Cam and hydraulic flat tappet lifter kit was installed with duration of 276/286 and lift .500/.500 . Next a Summit intake combo kit was installed including a high rise Edelbrock intake manifold, 750 cfm carburetor and matching Chrome air cleaner. A Lokar gas pedal and throttle assembly was installed. A new high volume oil pump, new drive gear, and a new oil pump pickup was installed. A 110 GPH mechanical fuel pump was also installed. ARP head bolt kit was used. New Edelbrock valve covers. HEI distributor for reliable performance. The timing chain was replaced with a "Noisy" Timing Gear Drive unit, that gives it a unique sound when the motor is running. Custom tubular motor mounts & transmission cross member were professionally fabricated and installed. Exhaust is simple and functional. Headers and straight pipes back to dual Flowmasters and dual exits in front of the back tires. Classic big block performance sound ! The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic. It works great and shifts exactly as it should. There is a Lokar transmission kickdown assembly installed. Also a custom made and balanced driveshaft installed coupled to a 12 bolt NON-POSI open rear. The gears are about a 3.42:1 ratio. Cooling of the drivetrain is handled by a brand new aluminum radiator with a dual electric fan kit, all tied in with a Painless wiring kit to keep it functional. There is a stainless steel 180 degree thermostat in the motor. Truck consistently runs when hot and in traffic at 190 degrees never higher. Cooling system works exceptionally well as it should. The truck fires right up and runs and drives like it should. It is fast. The windshield washers are not hooked up. The only area of concern is in the inner passenger side rear cab corner. There is an area that is compromised. A close up picture of this area is shown in the picture. Does not affect the driving of the truck at all. Just being honest and pointing out everything on the truck. Again this is a turn key and drive truck ready to enjoy immediately. Take the time to check out all the photos. It is priced right and priced to sell in this economy. It is currently PA inspected and I have a clean PA title in hand ready for transfer to the new owner. The title shows actual mileage. This truck was formerly a southern Virginia vehicle. The truck is sold in AS-IS condition with no actual or implied warranty or guarantee. If you have any question as to the condition of the truck I welcome the opportunity to show the truck to any prospective buyer, by appointment only.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Ford GT dominates Le Mans qualifying, gets slapped with performance adjustment
Fri, Jun 17 2016Fifty years after Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove the Ford GT40 to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford is poised for a historic return to the Circuit de la Sarthe. The new Ford GT took the top two qualifying positions in the LMGTE Pro class, and four of the top five. Ferrari's 488 filled in the rest of the spots in the top seven, the first two from AF Corse. In other words, we're primed for a reboot of the classic Ford-Ferrari feud at this year's race. Or not, as the ACO, which organizes the 24 Hours of Le Mans, announced sweeping pre-race Balance of Performance (BOP) adjustments this morning that make this year's GT class anybody's race. In LMP1, last year's overall winner Porsche locked up the top two spots with the 919 Hybrid and will lead the entire field at race start. Toyota's two-car factory effort followed with qualifying times 1.004 and 2.170 seconds behind the pole lap. Audi rounds out the manufacturer-backed LMP1 class in fifth and sixth. Full qualifying results can be found here. The storyline for the GT cars is perfect - some say too perfect. Ford's class-leading times came after BOP adjustment to the Corvette Racing C7.R before qualifying. BOP is intended to level the playing field in the class by adjusting power, ballast, and fuel capacity. (Check out this explainer video for more, or even just if you love French accents.) But the process is riddled with unknowns and ripe for accusations of sandbagging. That is, if the Ford cars were intentionally slow in practice they could hope for BOP adjustment to improve their race chances. On the Corvette side, last year's GTE Pro winner went from the top of the field to the bottom, barely improving from practice to qualifying. If you think Le Mans is as rigged at the NBA Playoffs, well, it's not that simple. Because if Ford and Ferrari held back until qualifying - the eighth-place Porsche 911 RSR is three-and-a-half seconds off the class pole time - it was a pretty dumb strategy. This morning, the ACO tried to put things back in order by limiting the boost in the Ford GT's twin-turbo V6 and adding 11 pounds of ballast. Ferrari was also given extra weight but allowed more fuel capacity. The Corvette and Aston Martin teams were both given breaks on their air restrictors, which will allow their engines to make more power. Both Ford and Porsche also received extra fuel capacity.
Just the right Camaro can change your life
Thu, Jan 22 2015Not many people can say that their car directly motivated them into a career, but that's exactly the case for Adam Martin and his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that he calls Lucy. Martin bought the pony car in primer when he was just 16, and it helped foster his profession in restoring classic cars. Beyond just being a very cool ride for a teenager, every change to Lucy was an opportunity to hone a new automotive skill for Martin. Whether figuring out how to paint a car or building the 454-cubic-inch (7.4-liter) big block V8, the Camaro offered a platform for experimentation. This latest episode of Petrolicious gets personal about the bond between man and machine for this 18-year ongoing project. And even if the story doesn't immediately grab you, Lucy has a great voice and can do a mean burnout.
