ALL CARPET, DOOR PANELS, REAR SIDE PANELS ETC ARE EXCELLENT. HEADLINER BOARD IS THERE BUT FABRIC IS OFF DUE TO SAGGING. ALL POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS INCLUDING THE REAR WINDOW WORK GREAT. TOP IS LIKE NEW AND HAS NEVER BEEN OFF. IT HAS ALL OPTIONS INCLUDING TILT, CRUISE (WORKS) AC, PS, PDB, DUAL SHOCKS AND STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIO. EXT IS GOOD BUT HAS THE TYPICAL GM PEELING PAINT ON THE HOOD AND ROOF WHICH HAS BEEN COVERED TO PROTECT IT FROM RUST. ZERO RUST ANYWHERE AND UNDERCARRIAGE IS EXCELLENT. RUNS AND DRIVES EXCELLENT AND IS VERY QUIET WITH NO SQUEAKS OR RATTLES AND EVERYTHING IS TIGHT. ALL CHROME IS EXCELLENT ALSO. AC HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 134A BUT NEEDS TO BE CHARGED AS IT HAS BARELY BEEN DRIVEN THE LAST FEW YEARS TO KEEP IT CHARGED. Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
