TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SUV!

This is a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer ZR2 4x4. The ZR2 package gives you off-road tough looks, larger tires, skid plates, HD differentials, wider stance, and more. This Blazer is also loaded with power windows, locks, power seat, CD, power sunroof, push button 4x4, alloy wheels, towing package, ice cold a/c, automatic transmission, and the reliable and powerful 4.3 Vortec. This is a a great looking, running, and driving truck. It has a clean title and is absolutely no reserve!

The exterior of this Blazer is very nice. As you can see in the pics, the paint shines, there is no evidence of prior body work, and all of the glass is in great shape. The wheels are in great condition. Other than one spot behind the passenger door where you can see a couple rust bubbles, and the areas you can see on the front bumper where they appear to have fixed some cracks on the flares it is very nice. This is a used 2003, so expect some scratches, dings, and wear. However I would give this a strong rating on appearance, and I think it looks as good or better than anything it's age and miles.

Inside, this Blazer does not disappoint either. The door panels and dash are in great shape, the floors are very clean, and other than a couple minor/repaired holes the seats are excellent and clean. You can see the holes in the pics of the front seats. The buttons all work, power sunroof works, radio sounds great, and the power seat works. I would give this an above average rating inside. The Passenger outside mirror is cracked and the power doesn't work on it.

Mechanically this is a very nice ZR2. The tires are in good shape with about 50% life remaining, the truck drives straight down the road, smooth and quiet. The Engine sounds great, no smoking, no noises. If you know the 4.3, you know it is one of the best engines ever put in a Chevy. The transmission shifts great. The a/c is cold, and there isn't much to say other than its a nice driving truck. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this anywhere. There are no trouble lights.

So thats the rundown. If you have any questions, please ask. This truck has a clean title, and you will also recieve a bill of sale. If you are a Michigan resident, I will have to collect 6% sales tax, and title/state fees. Shipping is your responsibility.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

GM recalls half-million full-size SUVs to address seatbelt issue

Tue, Aug 16 2022

GM is recalling its redesigned full-size SUV models to address improperly riveted mounts securing the third-row seatbelts that may fail in the event of an accident. The population includes the 2021-2022 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, 2021-2022 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and 2021-2022 model year GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, for a total of 484,155 vehicles. "Operators at the supplier’s manufacturing plant may have not properly followed manufacturing processes and inadvertently missed the rivet forming operation," GM said in its defect report to NHTSA. "In certain of these vehicles, the rivet that retains the buckle to the mounting bracket in the left or right side third-row seatbelt buckle assembly may not have been properly formed during the manufacturing process. If the third-row seatbelt assembly is not properly riveted, it may not properly restrain occupants in a crash, increasing the risk of injury." Fortunately, the fix is relatively simple. GM service technicians will inspect the rivets on the rear seatbelt buckle assemblies and replace the entire unit if the rivets are not to spec. Dealer notifications have already been distributed; owners should receive notice start in September. Related video: Cadillac Chevrolet GM GMC Ownership Safety SUV

GM reintroduces Tripower name in the worst way possible

Wed, Aug 1 2018

The story of General Motors' use of the Tripower moniker begins way back in 1957, when Semon E. "Bunkie" Knudsen, then General Manager of GM's Pontiac division, directed his engineers to inject more performance into his brand's line of V8-powered automobiles. Fuel injection was an option, but hot rodders flocked instead to Tri-Power (marketed way back when with a hyphen), which grafted a trio of two-barrel Rochester carburetors onto a single intake manifold. A legend was born. And that legend was born of performance. At idle and when full power wasn't required, Pontiac's Tri-Power system used just the middle carburetor, which helped make the setup easier to tune. Depending on the year and model, either a vacuum system or a mechanical linkage opened up the two outer carbs, thereby switching from two barrels to six, and allowing the engine to take in more fuel and air. And it was an easy marketing win – six barrels is better than four barrels, right? Because performance! So, when news filtered in that GM has resurrected the Tripower name, those of us who grew up attending classic car shows and wrenching on old Pontiacs did a double-take. And then we all collectively sighed. Turns out that today's Tripower refers to a trio of fuel-saving measures that include cylinder deactivation, active thermal management, and intake valve lift control, according to Automotive News. And, at least for now, it applies to GM's line of fullsize trucks powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. We're all for saving fuel whenever possible. And we have zero say in how any automaker chooses to market its products and technologies. But, we'll offer our two cents anyway: Relaunching a storied name from the past is fine. Relaunching a storied name from the past while completely overlooking the reasons the name got famous in the first place is only going to irritate the people who remember the name in the first place. Couldn't they just call this new technology package something else?
