NO RESERVE! BID TO WIN! 1953 CHEVROLET CUSTOM HOT STREET ROD! COMPLETELY SOLID & RUST FREE! Looking for a great car to build? This 53 Chevy has had a tremendous amount of work done to it. It is completely rust free and solid. It was built with the intentions of being a street rod so much of the custom work that has been done, will compliment that genre of vehicles. I know that with my own experience, to get a car this straight will cost 10k plus. So here is that rare opportunity to take a major short cut while saving thousands. The body on this Chevy has been completely gone through. The floors, trunk, trunk drops, rockers, floor braces, fenders, doors, roof, hood, trunk lid, rear sill, cowl, firewall, all of it is completely solid and rust free. The fenders have been modified for French headlights which that work was done professionally (as was the rest of the body work). The door handles on this Chevy have been shaved and that too was done correctly. The rear tail lights are 54 and that work was also done professionally. All of the stainless and chrome is in great shape with no major pitting or dings. The entire front suspension has also been done and consists of all new bushings. The Chevy comes with a brand new high dollar wiring harness which that work has been started. We do have everything for this Chevy with the exception of a motor and transmission. This Chevy has already had the majority of the heavy work completed. With a little work, she could be in the paint booth in no time. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Chevy early as we do have it for sale "locally". My goal here is to sell the Chevy. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested to please call or email to schedule a time to come check it out. I would also like to add that I am usually on the phone from 7 AM until about 12 AM so you are always welcome to call and if I do not answer, just leave a message and I will return your call immediately. I know from my own experience with purchasing cars online, most of the time it is very difficult to get someone on the phone and to obtain the information you need. So I try to always stay on top of emails and phone calls. We do have a clear title for this Chevy. As always, good luck and happy bidding! Thanks, Shawn (816) 308-0351

1956 Corvette SR-2 factory racer profiled
Mon, Jan 19 2015The Chevrolet Corvette has earned its place as America's sports car, capable of taking on the best the world can throw at it. Much of that winning reputation was earned with victories on the track. Now, there was a chance to own an early piece of the nameplate's motorsport history in the form of a 1956 Corvette SR-2 racer, but some deep pockets were necessary to get it, with an estimate of $6.885 million. The story behind the SR-2 is fascinating. In 1956, famous General Motors designer Harley Earl's son was racing in a Ferrari. Obviously, that wasn't going to work given his father's position within the automaker, and Harley and Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov got to work on a faster racecar. Three were made. This one was reportedly the first, and for 1957 it also received a fuel-injected V8 making a claimed 331 horsepower and four-speed manual gearbox, according to "Corvette Mike," the owner and seller. The SR-2 went on display in Scottsdale, AZ appropriately timed to coincide with the big Barrett-Jackson auction there that wrapped up this weekend. The car wasn't part of that event; instead marque specialist Mike Vietro sold the racer as a private treaty sale. Company spokesperson Troy Worrell told Autoblog both the bids and identities of the bidders will remain undisclosed. The video above goes into even deeper detail about this rare, finned Vette or check out the car's full description for even more info.

Jay Leno drives Joe Rogan's '65 Chevy Corvette restomod
Tue, Sep 1 2015Restomod classics often look great rolling down the road, but they can be an absolute mess underneath. That's the problem comedian Joe Rogan discovered after purchasing his 1965 Corvette convertible that was already extensively modified. Once work began to improve it further, some serious issues were discovered. Now, Rogan's rejuvenated 'Vette has received a thorough update on the latest, extra-long edition of Jay Leno's Garage. Rogan's additional upgrades include a new interior and adding nacelles behind the seats. Power is up thanks to a supercharger for the LS1 V8. Now only do you get to hear the engine roar, but Leno and Rogan also take the convertible for a long ride in the Los Angeles hills. They reminisce about liking cars as kids, the current state of General Motors, and Rogan's work with the UFC. Leno also shares a funny story about a confusing discussion with Marlon Brando. With the beautiful 'Vette and the great conversation, there's a lot here to like. Related Video:
