Beautiful 1965 Chevy Bel Air
Hard to find 2 door post car

I have owned this car for 4 years, I bought it with the interior and exterior as it is now. Overall the car is an excellent driver that I drive 2 or 3 days a week, and have drove it regularly for weeks on end during nice weather. Multiple interstate trips.
Drives and runs great. It will cruise at 70 and knock back close to 20mpg. Gets alot of attention wherever I go. Not a Barret-Jackson or concourse quality car, but never sits ashamed either.
Mechanically everything is in top notch condition. No rattles or wobbles. I have replaced any suspension / brake part that has been needed while driving it. Never overheats, starts with no fuss.

I will try to describe the car the best I can but the pictures do much more justice.

Exterior: Paint color is perfect for this car, it just looks stunning in this bright yellow. It has been lowered but in no way compromises the ride or drive. The stance is perfect. Not afraid of a camera lens either. The paint has some spots showing its age, but slicks up fine. The bumpers would need re-chroming for a true show car. New rubbers in all jams. Windshield seal has deteriorated and leaks, but in the garage it doesn't get wet.

Interior: Interior was redone with black tweed covering the door panels, seats, and headliner in black material. Carpet is in great shape but has some faded spots from age. Very clean and comfortable. Nothing is ripped, torn, or broken down. Kenwood cd player with 6x9 speakers in decklid. All instruments work.

Drivetrain: 350 Centerbolt engine with Holley street dominator intake, Holley aluminium street carb, hei dist w/accel coil. Comp cam, Headers into Dual 40 chamber flowmatsers. Powerglide transmission. 55psi oil pressure at idle. Very responsive and fun to drive. Tackles stop and go traffic as well as interstate cruising.

Fri, Jan 14 2022

This episode of the Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They kick off with an overview of the 2022 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year award winners (spoiler: Ford did well). After that, they talk about GM's electric pickup strategy and whether a premium electric pickup from Cadillac makes sense. Then, they pivot to Mitsubishi and the future of the Ralliart nameplate. Will we ever get a fun, inexpensive enthusiast car from the Japanese automaker again? Then it's on to what Byron's had in the driveway for the past couple weeks, including a 2022 Chevy Corvette and a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon. Plus, he talks about putting some new snow tires on his personal Jeep Wrangler for evaluation in Michigan winter.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Bob Lutz builds the case for a mid-engined Corvette

Fri, Jan 16 2015

Rumors of a mid-engine Corvette are like automotive industry folklore at this point. Every once in a while, news pops up that it might be happening or is under development, but nothing actually ever comes to fruition as something people can actually buy. The latest spy shots strongly suggest a mid-engine 'Vette is in the cards, yet again, possibly for 2018. Now, an op ed by former General Motors executive (and definite performance car fan) Bob Lutz in Road & Track gives the inside scoop on the history of one of these proposals and lays out how to make it happen today. According to Lutz, the company's engineers believed the C6 ZR1 was at the limit for front-engine, rear-wheel drive performance in that package, and the only solution was to move the powerplant behind the driver. Lutz even got then CEO Rick Wagoner on board. The scheme made it at least as far as clay models for mid-engine versions of the 'Vette and Cadillac XLR. Eventually, a lack of money got in the way, though, bringing the project to an end. Lutz puts a lot of faith in GM's current leaders, especially Mary Barra and Mark Reuss. He thinks the chances of a mid-engine 'Vette happening this time are better than 50 percent. The model, rumored to be named Zora, could offer over 700 horsepower in an ultra lightweight body and be priced at about $120,000 to "suck the doors off everybody." Head over to Road & Track to get some insights from this highly respected and entertaining auto industry veteran. Related Video:

'Baby Driver' is a car chase movie set to music

Mon, Mar 13 2017

The Fate of the Furious is certainly the 6,000-pound SUV in the garage of automotive movies, but that doesn't mean gearheads are starved for options. The upcoming film Baby Driver looks to be a winner for car guys, featuring exciting chases with cars including a "hawk-eye" Impreza WRX, a Dodge Challenger, and a 1980s Chevy Caprice. The movie is written and directed by Edgar Wright, whom you may know as the man behind movies such as Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. And based on the two trailers released so far, seen above and below, it's about a young man by the name of Baby, who is a getaway driver for criminals. He's apparently the best in the business, and the secret to his success is the music he listens to while he's driving. He also wants out, but his boss, played by Kevin Spacey, has no intention of letting him go. Spacey is one of a number of major stars in the film, including Jamie Foxx and John Hamm. The driving action shown in the trailers definitely looks entertaining. The WRX is seen doing an array of drifts and J-turns. There is some driving precision on display here that wouldn't be out of place in a Gymkhana video. And it looks like Wright's attention to detail in his shots and transitions, as well as some solid comedy relief, are all going to be present. The film comes out this August.
