This is a good start on a nice car and comes with many new parts such as a new full glass set with frames installed already , a rebuilt 700R4 trans with new lokar floor shifter and all electronics to accessorize the shifter, new dash trim set, new door handles, new hood rocket sets, new bolt kits, lite lens kits, grommets etc. There is also what I believe is two sets of bumpers (please see pics) One I am told is a California(one piece) front bumper and One is suppose to be a Nomad rear bumper to relocate the plate off of the trunk lid. The other two have been re-chromed as well but are the normal/stock to the car bumpers. The front end/clip was changed years ago to give the car front power disc brakes and updated steering , the car also had a tilt coll. put in it. There is also another hood that will go with the car not pictured. Car inspections welcome, just call me to set it up. Car is sold "as is" and buyer handles shipping. There will be a 500. deposit due within 48hrs of auction end. Paypal is ok as long as you are willing to pay the fee. Call Larry @ 662-386-7300

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

How easy is it to rebuild a Chevy small block V8?

Sat, Mar 21 2015

Chevrolet's famous small block V8 stands as one of the workhorse engines in American auto history, with its variants going into vehicles from hot rods to pickup trucks. But do you know that you can fully disassemble and completely restore one of these mills in just under four minutes? Well, as long as there's some assistance from time-lapse photography, that is. Hagerty created this short clip showing a dirt-covered small block turning from a frog into a prince. Thankfully, the time-lapse doesn't speed the process up too much, and it's still easy to see how all of the principal parts fit together. With all sorts of sensors and software helping to drive the modern automobile, viewing the internal combustion engine in its purely mechanical form is still fascinating. Related Video:
