This car was built 9 years ago, at that time the Econoline Van front axle was installed, new body mounts, new floor pans, custom made radiator. This car runs EXCELENT, no issues what so ever, it runs at 160* all day long. It has Hurst slicks on the rear and Hurst front runners up front, the wheels are made by ET and are polished. The car gets a ridiculous amount of atention everywhere, its definately a crowd pleaser. Although the body and paint isn't 100 point show quality, its cool as hell. It has a couple slight dings and scratches here and there but nothing to worry about. I drive the car a lot and never had any issues. I ran it down the track once, it turned a 12.88 with the tires were spinning, I coudn't get it to hook up that great. The only issue with the car is the trans could use a rebuild sometime down the road (it grinds a little when down shifting). If you are looking for a daily driver or a car the rides like a Cadillac this isn't for you, this car rides great, but it rides like it has a straight axle. All the lights work, brakes are great (power with front disc's), heat works, wipers work. Car needs nothing right now. Get in, hold on and go!!

Feel free to call or email with any questions. Thanks, Mike 973-698-2797

Heres a link to a short viseo of the car running...

Corvette + fireworks = so much glory

Fri, Jul 3 2015

You might think that those of us making our living by reviewing cars, think critically about the cars we're driving most of the time. It could be that I'm an underachiever, but that's not the case with me. In fact, unless I'm set to the review task, I typically think about the cars in front of and around me more frequently. That's because a) you never know what you're going to see out there, and b) all of them could be out to bump/scratch/tailgate/crash me out. You can never be too careful. Such was the case when I was driving a 2015 Chevy Corvette earlier this week. I'd already had my fun finding the edges of grip on a river road in the car, the night before; on the morning in question I was just trying to get to work. But while scanning the suburban streets for potential dangers to the 'Vette's neat-o Daytona Sunrise orange paint, I spied a XXL-sized fireworks tent in an empty parking lot. Oh right, I remembered, 4th of July weekend. That obvious bit of observation lead to a chain of thought along these lines: "We should do something with this car for the 4th" ... "Too bad I have to give it back tomorrow." ... "Wonder if I could do a quick video?" ... "Wonder if I can set off a bunch of fireworks in slow-mo for a video?" The result, well, I won't call it genius, but I will say that I remember why every kid loves fireworks. And I will call it glorious. Happy 4th, y'all.

Least reliable cars and trucks of 2022

Tue, Nov 15 2022

Related: Most reliable cars and trucks of 2022   Every year, Consumer Reports ranks new cars based on their predicted reliability. We often see Toyota, Lexus, and a few other automakers near the top. But on the other side of the coin, the list of least reliable vehicles sometimes contains surprises.   The organization surveys its members to determine the vehicles that exhibited the most problems over the prior year. Owners are asked about creaks and rattles, the durability of parts and trim, and mechanical issues. Consumer Reports assigns a weight to each problem and then uses them to create a score, with 100 being the best. Some familiar names appear on the list of least reliable vehicles (in order with the lowest predicted reliability score at the top), but there are a few eyebrow-raising models, followed by CR's score: Ford F-150 Hybrid: 4 Hyundai Kona Electric: 5 Lincoln Aviator: 8 Nissan Sentra: 9 Ford Explorer: 16 Chevrolet Bolt: 17 Chevrolet Silverado 1500/GMC Sierra 1500: 19 Jeep Gladiator: 21 Mercedes-Benz GLE: 23 Jeep Wrangler: 24 Consumer Reports noted that sedans are the most reliable vehicle category and found that trucks are far lower on the list. That said, the survey showed that trucks from American brands tended to have better reliability scores, so it’s surprising to see GMÂ’s big two and the Ford F-150 on the list. Part of their problematic ownership experience could be due to the fact that all three trucks have received recent updates, and the Ford was completely redesigned for 2022. New tech, fresh drivetrain components, and other improvements can upset the balance of reliability and make newer models look less dependable than their older counterparts.
