Have owned this vehicle for 15 years and am finally about finished. The 350 V8 engine runs strong, transmission is a turbo 350. Brakes are drum brakes, but all have been redone - master cyl, wheel cyl, lines and shoes. Has a new radiator, new gas tank, new sending unit for the gas tank, decent chrome wheels, and new exhaust system that includes hedman headers and cherry bomb mufflers. Two front door windows are new. Windows are tinted on the sides. Car has not been driven down the road yet, just around the house. Car had rust and damage. All four floor pans in front of the seats were replaced, and new body mounts and bolts replaced. the 1956 frame has been coated with Por 15 (most of it) There still remains some work to be done such as repainting some areas that have runs or imperfections or that need another coat. In the process of installing the new rear exhaust section, putting in the door locks, making the windshield wipers operational, installing horn button, installing door and trunk weatherstripping and undercoating underside of car. Adjusting brakes.
Parts missing at current time - hood ornament, paint dividers on the rear of the car and passenger side door chrome. One seat belt missing - passenger side rear, and glove box. |

Petrolicious profiles one man and his duo of '64 Impalas
Wed, Jul 1 2015Restoring any vintage car is a labor of love. In the end, the investment of time and money is often more than the vehicle is realistically worth on the open market. Deciding to take all of that work on yourself doesn't make things any easier, but it can only increase your connection to the project. Don Rogers, the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious, shows this passion perfectly with his duo of 1964 Chevrolet Impalas – a hardtop and convertible. Both of these Chevys had been sitting for years before Rogers got his talented hands on them, and he did all of the work himself. Now, driving the pair is therapy for him, and he's not worried about anything breaking because he knows he can put it back together. Rogers says he enjoys wrenching on his vehicles even more than going to shows. Doing your own work comes with advantages, like tailoring a project's look to your preferences. It's not original, but Rogers used the crimson interior color from a '59 Impala on his convertible to make the interior pop with the top down. Rogers is undoubtedly a talented builder, and his work is worth checking out in the latest from Petrolicious. Related Video:
So, how do you actually pronounce that automaker's name?
Thu, Jan 21 2016You probably have that friend who always says Porsche wrong, or maybe it's someone who keeps reminding you it's actually two syllables. Whichever side of the pronunciation debate you fall on, you'll find someone to root for in the video above. And before you ask, this was all the video team's idea. So don't get mad at me for being the voice of reason. BMW Chevrolet Hyundai Nissan Rolls-Royce Videos Original Video nissan qashqai

The fifth-generation Camaro has been a runaway success for Chevrolet since it went on sale in August 2009. Camaro sales passed Mustang in 2010, to become America's best-selling performance car – a title Camaro has retained for five consecutive years. In the process, the Camaro has helped bring new buyers to Chevrolet – with 63 percent of retail buyers new to GM. "The fifth-generation Camaro has clearly resonated with both long-time Camaro fans, and first time performance-car buyers," said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. "That sets the bar high for the next chapter of the car's history." Remarkably, the Camaro continues to gain momentum, even as the fifth-generation Camaro nears the end of production this year. In 2014, Camaro total sales increased 7.1 percent for its second-best year of sales since its introduction.
