1953 Chevrolet Bel Air

99115 Not Actual Miles due to age of the car. Very nice 235 CID 6 Cyl, Original Split Manifold,3-Speed Transmission on the T, fully restored about 5 years ago and has been garaged kept since then. Vehicle has not been exposed to any snow or the elements during the winter this vehicle was never driven. Vehicle comes with Brand new wire wheel's with Cooker White Walls, this car is simply beautiful and I have never seen a better one like this model. This car is simply beautiful and cosmetically and mechanically maintained, The alternator and starter have been changed to a 12-volt for better starting and the starter was replaced with a rebuilt one in July 2013. I have the other starter so someone can repair it and have it as a spare. The stainless trim and chrome are in excellent shape no bubbles on the chrome at all just really nice chrome with a great shine. Overall I would consider one of the best chevy's you will ever find and it turns eyes when taking it to the weekly car shows. . A very good cruising and touring car. This car was simply beautifully restored about 5 years ago and is ready to go.to a new owner who will take the time to make it his toy to ride and cruise during the weekends. Words cannot describe the raw beautiful condition this car is in for the number of years it has been around and for a cost of less than what others are selling for on Classic Car this car is below value. Folks this car you must own and see this car turn heads when you drive it down the road listening to oldies in the AM/FM/CD player. This car is listed on ClassicCar.com but is listed locally and will sell.  There is none better and you don't want to miss out on this great looking 1953 Chevy Bel Air. Has a few scratches on the paint the vehicle and when it was painted but not something that a good rubbing compound can’t remove. The interior is really nice and comfortable. Vehicle comes with additional items that I purchased but never installed. New seat belts, new wiper system because the old system does not work and a 1953 Am radio that does not work but can be installed as a show item and new fender skirts. Don't be afraid to purchase this great looking car and own a piece of history with a car that is almost over 61 years. Contact Me @ 703-855-8919 or e-mail me at rmadmex04@aol.com. Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]

Wed, Jan 7 2015

Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. Watch the video below for more about this bizarre case. The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Chevy Silverado WT gets its own murdered-out trim pack

Fri, Feb 20 2015

Media days for the 2015 Chicago Auto Show ended last week, but that hasn't stopped Chevrolet from adding just one more thing. The Bowtie brand showed off three new trim packages for its trucks in the Windy City – the Colorado GearOn and the Silverado Midnight and Custom – but protests from consumers over the price of these equipment packs has led the company to release a new trim group for its most affordable fullsizer, the Silverado WT. The $1,595 Black Out pack will be available on both the regular- and double-cab Silverado WT and offers a few simple, stylistic upgrades. Five-spoke, 20-inch black wheels are the headlining item, although Chevy will also include "deep tinted glass" and black bowtie badges both fore and aft. Available only in black (the company even paraphrases old Mr. Ford in its press release), the new package adds just enough to class up the otherwise dreary looking Work Truck. Chevy has only released one image for the time being, available up top. Dealers, meanwhile, are currently taking orders. Check below for the brief press release. Chevrolet Silverado Work Trucks Get Blacked Out DETROIT – Chevrolet is adding a $1,595 Black Out package for regular- and double-cab 2015 Silverado 1500 WT models. It includes 20" black painted aluminum wheels, P275/55R20 all-season blackwall tires, deep tinted glass and black bowties. Prices start at $28,895. The package is available for order now, and customers can have any color they want, as long as it is black. Editors' Note: Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price excludes tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment. Includes dealer freight charges and option package discounts. Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 140 countries and selling more than 4.8 million cars and trucks a year. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature engaging performance, design that makes the heart beat, passive & active safety features and easy-to-use technology, all at a value. Genovation Cars readies all-electric Corvette prototype

Tue, Jul 14 2015

Chevy runs the full spectrum from some of the most environmentally friendly cars to the least. At one end are EVs like the Spark and Volt. At the other, performance models like the Camaro and Corvette. But one American company wants to bridge that divide. That company is Rockville, MD-based Genovation Cars, which reports that it is almost done building its prototype for an all-electric Corvette. Dubbed the Genovation Extreme Electric (or GXE for short), the prototype is based on a previous-generation 2006 Chevy Corvette Z06, but ditches its enormous 7.0-liter V8 for an array of inverters, batteries, and electric motors said to be good for over 700 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. That promises to deliver a 0-60 time of about 3.0 seconds and a top speed in excess of 200 miles per hour. Those are supercar benchmarks for performance if we've ever seen them, and ought to leave even the top-spec Tesla Model S P85D in... well, not a cloud of smoke, but whatever the electric equivalent is, in a non-polluting cloud of that. The GXE is also supposed to be able to travel for 150 miles on a single charge, and handle well while it's at it with 50/50 front-rear weight distribution and a low center of gravity. Sorta like the Power Wheels 'Vette pictured above, then, but bigger and faster. Look for the GXE to debut at the Electric Vehicle Technology Expo this coming September in Michigan, after which Genovation says it will put the GXE to the test on the track to back up its performance claims. Genovation Cars Nearing Completion of High-Performance All-Electric Corvette, the GXE ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Genovation Cars is nearing the completion of a prototype high-performance all-electric Corvette called the Genovation Extreme Electric or GXE. Assembly of the GXE will be completed by the end of July, followed by a three-week testing phase. The GXE is based on a 2006 Z06 Corvette. Several contributors to the GXE effort have helped design and build record-breaking electric vehicles. They include an MIT electrical engineer and a mechanical engineer from Cosworth. "We are using state of the art inverters, batteries and electric motors that will produce in excess of 700-hp and 600 lb-ft of torque," said Genovation CEO Andrew Saul. "We expect the car to achieve 0-60 mph in around three seconds and have a top speed of over 200 mph.
