This is an exceptionally nice 49 Chevrolet 2 Door Sedan mildly customized from a rust free, low mile original car. A complete professional frame off restoration was done adding a 300 cubic 6 cylinder engine, Camaro front clip with power steering, power disc brakes, vintage air, tilt wheel, 6 cd remote changer with am/fm radio, power antenna, power door latches and power deck lid release. The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive automatic with an 8 inch Ford rear end. The engine has an Offenhauser intake with a Holly 650 CFM Carburator and a split manifold with dual exhausts. The wiring is all new and 12 volt. Gauges are Stewart Warner. The body modifications include 1 piece Olds windshield, smooth bumpers, nosed, decked, frenched headlights and shaved door handles. The wheels are chrome 17 inch. The paint is Ditzler Concept Single Stage Urethane. This car was nominated for "Street Rod of the Year" by the Minnesota Street Rod Assoc. This is an excellent car that drives perfect and if you like 6 cylinder rods, this one has an amazing amont of torque and handles the car very well. A fun car to drive anywhere. All the restoration work and body modifications were done to a very high standard. The paint, chrome, glass and interior is in excellent shape. I have an album of the restoration. If you perfer a V8, you could easily exchange the engine and sell the 6 as there is a market for that engine. As well as this car is done, you could not re-create it for the price I am asking even without the cost of finding a purchasing an original rust free low mileage car to restore. Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
