I am selling my 2003 Cadillac STS. I really don't want to sell this car. The company I work for is moving to a new location. I want to use the money toward moving closer to work. I am the second owner of this car. I purchased it from Fairfield Cadillac 2 years ago with it with 24k miles on it. I was told it was originally owned by a older couple from Florida that had a summer home in PA. There is a service label under the hood from a Cadillac dealer in Florida . I have more then one car. I only drove it occasionally. The car is in very good condition. It looks and drives great. Everything works as it should. There are no leaks. It was never smoked in. There are no dings, dents, or major scratches.
I have done several upgrades. I installed the navigation system. This was the only factory option the car did not have. It will play DVDs in drive after entering a 4 digit code. I added a aux jack with a video input I also added a Sony 12 inch sub with a Kicker AMP. The stereo sounds great. The sub box can easily be removed from the trunk if needed. I also installed a $1200.00 Corsa stainless steel cat back exhaust system. It sounds great. It sounds more like a performance car when you step on the gas. The car gained about 20hp from the upgrade. I installed a K&N air filter. I installed HID fog lights so they match the head lights. I just replaced the front brakes, rotors, and had a alignment done. I also have pre cut window tint that I will include with the car. I purchased it but never got around to putting it on. The car has been adult owned. I am 36 years old. I am technician for a company that makes all kinds of custom modified vehicles. I know my way around cars. All the work has been professionally done. Now for the bad. There is a small chip in the windshield about the size of a pea. I tried to take a picture of it. It would not show up. I lost the front plastic license plate cover in the car wash. I purchased one on EBay. It is the one in the pictures. It is not a perfect color match and has some chips on it. I removed the on star antenna on the rear window. Right the car is being stored wear I work in Allentown PA 18017. I can also bring to my home McAdoo PA 18237. More picture are available upon request. Thanks,

Why an independent rear suspension for GM's new, full-sized SUVs wasn't easy
Mon, Dec 23 2019A Motor Trend report last month laid out how Cadillac's 4.2-lier twin-turbo Blackwing V8 could be an orphan due to cost concerns in the GM empire. Last-minute chassis changes to Cadillac's new sedans and XT6 crossover led to engine bays that couldn't fit the Blackwing. On the SUV side, according to the report, the new independent rear suspension for big people haulers cost so much to implement that GM ruled out reworking the Escalade to accept the Blackwing. At least one commenter rightly asked how could a suspension swallow that much money. A new piece in Motor Trend has the answer. The excellent Alissa Priddle spoke to Tim Herrick, GM's executive chief engineer for full-size trucks, about why the clean-sheet IRS cost "multimillions of dollars."Â First, GM would need to build a new body shop at the Arlington, Texas plant that assembles the automaker's big SUVs to stamp the numerous wholly new parts and panels accommodating an IRS. Then GM would need to design and pay for a new assembly process. On top of those up-front costs, there was the incremental cost of the four-link IRS components being more expensive than those in the trucks' former leaf-sprung solid axles. Herrick endured so many rejections for so long that he remembers the date and time when he got approval for the new unit. He said it came down to a meeting where he told a higher-up, "I'll make you a deal: If we get to the reveal, or if we launch this and you think this was a dumb idea, I'll hand you my badge and let you walk me out." Head to Motor Trend to read the full story. Based on Herrick being on stage to help present the new SUVs to the press, and on our First Ride in the new Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban at GM's Milford Proving Grounds, it appears this will have a happy ending for all involved. Furthermore, since Herrick worked on the T1 platform that supports the big SUVs as well as the light- and heavy-duty pickups, he understood the demands on the commercial side, too. That could be why when Roadshow asked Tim Asoklis, chief engineer of the Tahoe and Suburban, if the new IRS could endure life in the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, Asoklis answered, "Oh, absolutely." Cadillac ELR getting massive discounts, some up to $14,000
Mon, Jul 14 2014Well, that didn't go as planned. General Motors had marketed the Cadillac ELR extended-range plug-in as a premium version of the Chevrolet Volt with some Caddy refinements. Now, it looks like that premium, at least from a price standpoint, is shrinking. Shoppers in a number of states are reporting that GM and its dealers are discounting the ELR in order to move more off dealer lots. The issue is that few people are biting at the official price tag of about $76,000, so GM has started offering as much as $8,000 worth of dealer and customer incentives, Transport Evolved reports. More recently, dealers in states such as Florida, Texas and Maryland are offering discounts in the $12,000-to-$14,000 range, and that's before any federal and state plug-in incentives kick in. It's not difficult to guess why. Through the first half of the year, GM sold fewer than 400 ELRs. Last month, Caddy moved just 97 units, or about as many as Tesla sells of its Model S in a day. Perpahs recent spy shots that reveal a test ELR that appears to up the sportiness quotient, with touches such as larger wheels and brakes, will also help sales. Check out Autoblog's "First Drive" impressions of the ELR here.
