Up for sale is my personally owned and registered  excellent running Cadillac STS.  I have had this vehicle for over a year and have put a considerable amount of maintenance and money into her.  The problem is I bought this vehicle from a dealer in Pennsylvania with a rebuilt salvage history and although I was able to register it I was not issued a new New York State DMV title due to a New York requirement to do a new inspection of the vehicle and reissue of a title.  This could be done by me, but I would have to reinsure the vehicle and apply for an appointment to get the inspection which could take as much as three months.  I simply want this car gone, so I am putting it up on ebay, and whoever buys it will know how to acquire a title, or it can be use for parts or whole.  The bottom line is the car runs and drives quite well, and is ready to be driven.  The car has all the accessories that the Cadillac boasts, and all lights, climate controls, engine and transmission, brakes, front end are all functioning properly.   I personally have put 4 all new brakes and rotors and all new window regulators on all four windows.  A complete tune-up has been done on the vehicle, including coil packs, spark plugs, and all fluid changes.  A new radiator was also installed.  If you wanted to use this vehicle for parts, thousands of dollars of parts can be utilized.  The wheels are in excellent condition but the Kumho tires have only 15% tread left and need to be replaced.  The car also has a new battery from Auto Zone and is warranted for 5 years. The interior and all the door panels are in very good condition as well.    The main strong point of this vehicle is that it runs and drives well and the power train is in excleent condition, and in the junk yard alone these parts are worth over $1000.00.  The local junk hauler offered me $700.00 for scrap and he would even let me keep most of the parts for resale, but I would rather sell this excellent running vehicle, to someone who can use all of it.  Remember the car doesnot have a current title but a bill of sale will be issued.  Call Al with any questions.  516-473-8399 24/7 or text.

Cadillac could 'flourish' in Australia, says marketing chief

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Cadillac might have its best product mix in recent history, and GM's luxury brand is looking to expand. In fact, it might even be making a trip Down Under, at least according to the company's global marketing chief.
Uwe Ellinghaus spoke with Australian site Car Advice at the Geneva Motor Show and said the brand could be quite successful there. "[The] goodwill that the Cadillac brand has is such a good starting base that once we get proper volume commitment and a dealer network behind it we can easily flourish," he said, though he warned that the plans are still in their earliest stages and years away. First, Cadillac will expand in markets with the highest possible sales, like China and Russia.
Ellinghaus said that the most likely models for Oz would be the SRX, Escalade and CTS; the latter would probably act as a replacement for the Holden Commodore. GM's Australian arm is ending local production in 2017, and there have been many rumors about what is happening to the big sedan. However, Ellinghaus admits exporting cars from the US to Australia is going to mean higher prices. In addition to the expense, Cadillac doesn't currently build any right-hand-drive models. It would likely take until the end of the decade before the Aussie models could be ready.

Cadillac tipped to call flagship something other than LTS

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without large sedans in its lineup, and while the XTS has had to hold down that end of the fort all on its own, it won't have to for too long. That's because the luxury brand in the General Motors portfolio is preparing to roll out its new LTS, stylistically previewed by the Elmiraj concept pictured above. Only now, the latest thinking is that the upcoming flagship model may not be called LTS at all.
As Automotive News points out, Cadillac's naming scheme is all over the place at the moment. The ATS slotting below the CTS makes sense (alphabetically), but where do the ELR, SRX and especially the Escalade fit into that naming hierarchy? And how would LTS - as the project has been known until now - sit above the XTS?
Fortunately, Cadillac may be on the case, as two of the division's most recent senior appointments seem keen to rationalize the naming scheme. One is Uwe Ellinghaus, who joined Cadillac as chief marketing officer late last year. Speaking of the brand's nomenclature last spring, Ellinghaus was quoted as saying, "We are aware that this is currently a weakness of the Cadillac brand." And his new boss is bound to agree.

Cadillac sales chief fired over policy violation

Sun, 21 Jul 2013

Amidst a good year for Cadillac, which is experiencing higher sales gains than any other US brand this year, the US sales chief has been fired over a policy violation, Automotive News reports.
The sales chief, Chase Hawkins, "has left effective immediately," GM spokesman David Caldwell told Automotive News. Caldwell went on to say that Hawkins' replacement would be chosen soon.
Hawkins became the US sales chief in June 2012, and before that was the regional sales director for Cadillac in the Northeast US, overseeing 168 dealerships.
