This is an all original 1981 Seville Opera Coupe by Grandeur Motorcar Corp of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Grandeur Motorcar Corp would convert the standard four-door Seville to a two-door coupe doubling it's sticker price.  These cars sold for $43,000 - $45,000 new 30 years ago and there were very low numbers produced making this a very unique, hard to find and collectible vehicle. This car has about 22,300 original miles and is in completely original condition, from the interior to the exterior paint, all of which are in very good condition considering the age.  Cosmetically, the most glaring issue is the real bumper filler which is cracked in multiple areas.  There is some patina and cracking in the paint which is observed at close range and there is at least one exterior trim piece missing which is pictured.

This was an estate find and ran well prior to being parked two years ago.  The car starts easily and runs well however seems to lag a bit under heavy acceleration.  The car has not been driven any significant distance and no work has been done on the car since I acquired it.  Accordingly, the car is being sold as-is with no warranties.

Next-gen Cadillac Escalade debuting October 7 in NYC

Cadillac will unveil the next Escalade in October, at an event in New York City. It will be the sole member of GM's large SUV family to not get a debut at the Texas State Fair, which we don't think is all that surprising, considering the kind of clientele attracted by the big Caddy.
The new truck, from the few teaser images and spy shots we've seen, has evolved with the rest of the Cadillac range. We've got a glimpse of its tall, thin headlights, which look like an evolution of what's on the current truck. Expect some kind of egg-crate grille, reminiscent of the new CTS and ATS, while Cadillac's CUE system should feature heavily in what we hope is a thoroughly revised cabin.
The event takes place on October 7, so check back then for more info on the all-new Escalade.

Cadillac's de Nysschen won't budge on raised pricing

According to new Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen, it will take between 10 and 15 years to elevate GM's top brand, which was once hailed as "The Standard Of The World," back to prominence in the minds of American customers. And to hear the executive talk of it, the brand is going to have to be willing to see sales falter in the near-term before they recover:
"Either you have to bring your volume aspirations into alignment with reality and accept that you will sell fewer cars... Or you have to drop the price and continue to transact at the prices where you were historically... I think the logical conclusion is that it's better to build off a very solid base in terms of [product] credibility, charge a fair price for the car and realize you have to wait until the volume comes."
In other words, sales will fall before they rise, and the brand has to be okay with that. Notice, too, that de Nysschen speaks of "a fair price" for Cadillac cars and utility vehicles. In this case, "fair" means more than many of the brand's traditional buyers are accustomed to, and roughly in line with the brands and machines Cadillac believes it is competing against. For instance, the newly enlarged 2014 CTS carries a suggested retail price that is over $6,000 higher than it was in 2013, and some trim levels boast an even higher price premium over the models they replace.
