Calls only! Text will not be returned! This no reserve action is for a 1979 Cadillac Seville that i have owned since 1985.It is fashioned after the micfearson Chevrolet one built in the early 1980s. It was a deciel car when i bought it from the original owner who sold real estate and hardly any one had sat in the back seat. Always garaged by him. The engine quit at 137000.00 so i put a 1973 454 and turbo 400 out of a station wagon. I dove it for years as my real estate car. Then i pulled the engine last year to do it up. Bored .030 over new forged pop up pistons, ported and polished heads 049 119 cc chamber for a today's gas friendly 9.25 to 1.Polished rods, balanced, clay smith 280/560 hyd cam, high volume oil pump, Cleavland 77 bearings, roller rockers shorty headers for nova,2/12 inch exhaust out the back with cross over pipe. Has 400 turbo trans that was also rebuilt at the time. It has near new disk brakes on all 4 corners. The front end has also been rebuilt a few years ago. It rumps nicely and you can tell it has a stall 2300-2600 in the turbo 400. The bad! It needs some paint work because of bubles by the vinal top edge, front fender, hood etc. When we painted it it got striped of all door gaurd edging and emblems before we base coat clear coated and cut and buffed it. It is real strait. The moon roof needs a new switch and doesn't move properly and may just need lube or taken apart and the tracks cleaned. The air conditioning doesn't work and is missing some parts. The cruse also doesn't work but is there. The rear bumper rubbers need replaced. They make new ones for about $200.00. The trunk lock works some times and some times not. I have closed in the key hole but it can be access and manually over ridden. The heater control box needs some adjustment. It runs and drives very nice with lots of horse power about 425 in my estimate. It rides on B F Goodrich TA tires and Chevrolet truck 7x15 and 8x15 rally wheels with 5 on 5 bolt pattern. It runs on pump fuel and if you took off the afb and ran a Holley i am sure it would like it. I left the card that is on it for gas mileage. DARE TO BE DIFFERENT! This is a pick up only item and as i said runs and drives nice to have your shipper load. For you who text. My final price could be the opening price maybe more. But you have to bid to buy it that is why they call this a action. Your text will not be returned! As i said CALLS ONLY! Garry 360-921-0446

Cadillac ATS failing to command BMW 3 Series-like pricing as hoped
Mon, 05 Aug 2013The BMW 3 Series has long been the benchmark for small and sporty luxury vehicles, but the Cadillac ATS has come on strong in its short time on the market as a true rival in this segment. As impressive as Cadillac's new compact sedan is, however, Automotive News is reporting that the car is still lagging behind the 3 Series when it comes to actual transaction pricing.
According to the article, the average transaction price for the ATS is $39,459 while the 3 Series is at a much larger $44,764, but, just as importantly, Cadillac has about $500 more in incentives on the ATS compared to BMW. Transaction prices are much closer to cars like the Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4. Of course, this is all with the ATS trying to take on its small, sport sedan rivals with a single bodystyle and limited powertrain options compared to the numerous options available from the German automakers in this class.
This uneven battle won't last long, though, as recent spy shots have revealed that Cadillac is hard at work on a high-performance ATS-V and an ATS Coupe. No official word as to when either of these models will be unveiled, but with auto show season set to kick off, we're expecting sooner rather than later. The best news for the ATS is that the Automotive News says sales of the ATS are on target and that 74 percent of ATS buyers are new to Cadillac - two important factors for the brand as it tries to break into this tough segment.
Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards
Fri, 18 Jan 2013This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.
Daily Driver: 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan
Tue, Oct 13 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V sedan, reviewed by David Gluckman. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. And don't forget to watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Hey, it's David Gluckman with another Daily Driver. Today I'm driving a 2016 Cadillac ATS-V. This is the sedan model and it has the optional eight-speed automatic transmission. The ATS-V is the small performance car in Cadillac's lineup. It sits below the CTS-V, which is also new for 2016. Ever since the base ATS came out a few years ago, this has always been a wonderful chassis in search of a great engine to compliment it. This car really changes that. [00:00:30] They've dialed up the chassis, the suspension is a little stiffer, the body is even stiffer, and they've put this really nice 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under the hood. In terms of power and torque, the new V6 outguns it's main bogey, the BMW M3 and M4. The Cadillac engine puts out 464 horsepower and 445 pound feet of torque, which is tons. [00:01:00] The one issue, though, is the way it delivers that power. It's not as smooth as the BMW and there's a bit of turbo lag that you really don't feel in the German engine. Once you get moving, however, this engine really just wakes up. There's no lag once you're at highway speed. You can floor it and there's plenty of power and torque for easy passes and runup to extra-legal speeds. [00:01:30] It's tons of fun there but around town it just kind of lacks a little bit of the smoothness and responsiveness that we're kind of expecting for a car in this class. The engine does sound pretty nice, though. It has this nice little growl when you start it up and when you get on it, it actually sounds more like a supercharged engine than a turbocharged one. It's a little strange, I think that's maybe some active noise cancellation that Cadillac is doing to cancel out the whooshes and whirs that we're used to from a turbocharger. [00:02:00] That's fine with me. Whatever it is, it sounds good. This car gets the same fancy rear limited-slip differential that the Corvette introduced a couple years ago. It does a really good job of keeping everything manageable. You almost can't tell that the car has 464 horsepower. It keeps everything in line.
