Vehicle Description PRESENTING A BEAUTIFUL HARD TO FIND 2007 CADILLAC SRX FLORIDA DRIVEN SUV FLORIDA PURCHASED - FLORIDA DRIVEN - VERY CLEAN - VERY WELL MAINTAINED POWER EVERYTHING - FULL LEATHER INTERIOR - POWER PACKAGE AND MUCH MUCH MORE! This SRX has never been exposed to the harsh roads, winters, snow, mountains, or overall rough driving conditions of up north. And, it shows. What's New for 2007The Cadillac SRX receives a number of upgrades for 2007. First on the list is an updated interior. Cadillac has redesigned the instrument panel and center console and improved the quality of the interior materials. IntroductionA member of that genre of SUVs known as "crossovers" (car-based as opposed to truck-based utes), the 2007 Cadillac SRX offers most of the features people want in an SUV, such as a roomy cabin, an elevated driving position and a sure-footed demeanor on slippery roads, but without the clumsy driving dynamics typically associated with traditional SUVs. Based on the platform used for the CTS luxury sport sedan, the SRX shares its sibling's sharp-edged styling and precise handling. Previously praised for its athletic performance and accommodating cabin, the 2007 SRX sees a big improvement this year in quality and overall appearance. The whole cabin has been revamped, with a more cohesive and upscale look to the dash, center stack and door panels. Higher-quality materials are used and handsome wood accents (optional on the base trim) abound. On the move, the SRX impresses with its outstanding handling and brisk acceleration. This V6 is a potent engine that is matched to smooth and quick-witted automatic transmissions. A Cadillac-worthy ride on the highway rounds out the SRX's impressive performance portfolio. Offering more practicality than many competitors -- along with polished performance and an interior befitting a luxury marque, the 2007 Cadillac SRX is a most compelling choice in the midsize luxury SUV segment. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and OptionsThe 2007 Cadillac SRX is a midsize luxury SUV offered in two trim levels. Those trims are defined by what's under the hood: V6 or V8. The V6 includes 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seating, OnStar telematics, a Bose audio system with CD player and XM satellite radio, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, full power features and rear park assist, and much more as shown in this SRX. Powertrains and PerformanceThe 3.6-liter V6 makes 255 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque, an automatic transmission that offers a sport mode and manual shifting is fitted: a five-speed Automatic unit in the V6.. SafetyAntilock disc brakes (with a panic assist feature), stability control and a full complement of airbags (including front-seat side as well as side curtain for the first two rows) are all standard. In NHTSA crash tests, the SRX scored four out of five stars for driver and front-passenger protection in frontal impacts. Side-impact tests resulted in a perfect five-star rating for front and rear passengers. In IIHS frontal-offset crash tests, the Caddy scored "Good," the highest rating possible. Interior Design and Special FeaturesInside, the 2007 Cadillac SRX provides comfortable accommodations, with an attractive design theme that incorporates a "V" shape on the seats, center stack and even the bottom of the analog clock. The genuine wood trim which is an option (included in this SRX) on the V6 steps up the luxury factor considerably, with generous fillets adorning the doors and instrument panel. Materials quality is significantly improved over past years. There's plenty of room in the second row. Driving ImpressionsHandling is outstanding, as the body feels tight and responsive around turns, giving the SRX a tossable feel on par with the BMW X5 and Infiniti's FX crossover. At the same time, the highway ride is smooth and comfortable, just the way most crossover SUV buyers want. The response and feel of both the steering and brakes are impressive as well. A very well-rounded package, the 2007 Cadillac SRX is a top choice for those wanting a bit of extra on-road excitement from their SUV. Contact Information

Cadillac expects major growth in China
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US sales issues facing Cadillac are not being paralleled in the People's Republic of China, as a new report from Automotive News indicates the US luxury maker should see its sales increase by as much as 40 percent.
The report cites Cadillac's own forecasts, which put its 2014 sales in the PRC at 70,000 units after cresting 45,000 vehicles at the end of August. Provided the sales pace holds true through 2015, the brand would hit its new 100,000-unit sales goal, AN reports.
"We're very optimistic about the luxury market, we believe that the luxury market by 2016 here will become the largest luxury market in the world, surpassing even the size of luxury in Europe," GM China President Matthew Tsien told AN. "With [Cadillac president] Johan [de Nysschen], we have somebody that really is an executive that understands luxury, but he also is very, very keen on understanding what do we need here in China for Cadillac to be successful."
EV tax credits: Here's every electric car or plug-in hybrid that qualifies
Tue, Apr 18 2023Starting on April 18, the Internal Revenue Service released new guidance for U.S. buyers shopping for a new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. On April 18th, the IRS showed only six fully electric vehicles on the qualified list, but a day later Volkswagen confirmed its U.S.-built ID.4 also qualifies. That means right now, seven fully electric vehicles qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit, with three more from Chevrolet coming for the 2024 model year (we would expect these 2024 models to roll out slowly and be difficult to find for at least the first few months they are on the market). In addition to those seven fully electric cars, two plug-in hybrids also qualify for the full $7,500 credit. To qualify, a vehicle must be assembled in North America and must meet a strict set of guidelines that cover where battery materials were sourced. If any battery materials come from certain countries (importantly including China), the vehicle's tax credit is automatically cut in half. Further, according to the IRS, the vehicle's manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) can't exceed $80,000 for vans, sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks or $55,000 for any other type of vehicle (basically meaning sedans). Electric vehicles that qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit: Cadillac Lyriq (2023-2024) Chevrolet Blazer EV (2024) Chevrolet Bolt EV (2023-2024) Chevrolet Bolt EUV (2023-2024) Chevrolet Equinox (2024) Chevrolet Silverado (2024) Ford F-150 Lightning — all models (2022-2023) Tesla Model 3 Performance (2022-2023) Tesla Model Y — all models (2022-2023) Volkswagen ID.4 — U.S.-built models (2022-2023) Plug-in hybrid cars that qualify for the full $7,500 EV tax credit: Chrysler Pacifica PHEV (2022-2023) Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring (2022-2023) A smaller credit is offered on fully electric cars and plug-in hybrids that are assembled in North America but have batteries with materials sourced from unqualified countries (mostly China).
Bosch builds an infotainment system that just might not suck
Tue, Jan 30 2018As far as we've come with in-car infotainment and interfaces over the past decade or so, we still have a long way to go — as most current systems show. Whether it's high-end brands like Mercedes-Benz with its kludgy COMAND system, which we hope will be replaced with the MBUX platform revealed at CES, or more mainstream vehicles like Hondas (with their frustrating, knobless Display Audio interface), getting the kind of content and ease of use in the car that we're used to having on other connected devices is far too complex and sometimes costly. While Apple and Google have tried to ride to the rescue with CarPlay and Android Auto, respectively, they're limited solutions. No automaker or tech supplier has been able to deliver an easy, economical, flexible and non-distracting infotainment solution. But Bosch could be closing in on this elusive goal, given the digital cockpit concept demo I recently received at CES. Displayed in a Cadillac Escalade, the concept featured five interconnected color screens: one in the instrument cluster, two in the center console, and two more in the front-seat headrest for second-row passengers. The digital cockpit concept demo had cool features such as haptic-feedback touch-screen controls that created an edge-like feeling similar to a physical button, facial recognition to confirm driver credentials, and the intelligence to know the location of a phone in the car to lock it out to keep the driver from texting. The most significant aspect of the Bosch digital cockpit concept wasn't visible — but shows the company's vision for a future of seamless, convenient, cost-effective and safe in-car infotainment. It's powered by a single electronic control unit (ECU) that can simultaneously run multiple operating systems and also separates vehicle and infotainment controls for critical safety and cybersecurity reasons. Most modern cars can have as many as 100 separate ECUs, Philip Ventimiglia, product manager for Bosch Car Multimedia North America, explained at CES, and several just for infotainment functions. "The goal is to reduce that to about 10 so that we can save cost throughout the vehicle and enable new technologies," he added. "OEMs want to put more technology into cars, but it costs money," Ventimiglia said.
