Up for Auction is a custom built 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood Phaeton CONVERTIBLE LIMOUSINE built by Parade Coachbuilders in Florida. www.paradelimos.com. This vehicle started its lie as a rear wheel drive Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan then it was stretched 48 inches in the middle behind the drivers door. A middle seat was added and two doors were added with concealed door handles in the frame and no exterior door handles. So middle exterior looks like s standard limousine with no door handles, hidden openers are in the front driver nad passenger door frame The rear 1/3 of the roof was cut off above the rear seat for wide open air riding. This vehicle is called the Pheaton model. The Phaeton is a term that comes from early 20th century coach building and it means open top. In this case the roof above the rear seat has been removed. The rear seat has been raised ten inches and a parade seat has been added on the rear deck. In case it rains there is a snap on manual top that covers the rear seat so no rain will spoil your fun. This vehicle is custom built and one of a kind with many one of a kind features including; front fender flag stands, front fender flag up lights, flashing lights on the front bumper. Custom rear fender Cadillac marker lights, Fleetwood Phaeton badging, chrome roof grab handle (in case you want to stand up), rear parade deck chrome surround rails and much more.
This is an
awesome ride reminiscent of early 20th century open rear compartment Parade
Cars the President rode in and seen in every parade. This is the perfect
vehicle for promoting a business, weekend touring, site seeing, charity
promotions, vineyard tours, city tours, historic tours, a real estate business
and of course parades. OR what i use it for just cruising to car shows and
driving on sunny weekends. You can fit six people in the back
compartment comfortably. THIS IS A HEAD TURNER. You will NEVER see another one pull up next to you and this one is in mint condition. THIS VEHICLE HAS just 47K miles on it!!!! THAT IS RIGHT JUST 47 THOUSAND ORIGINAL MILES. Mechanically for the gear heads, this Cadillac came from the factory with the formidable LT-1 Engine and matched automatic transmission which Cadillac borrowed from Chevrolet to give unbelievable power to this rear wheel drive car. This model is the last rear wheel drive model Cadillac built. The engine is the same engine as the Corvette of this year. Power is unreal for a large heavy car.
Exterior is
finished in Cadillac Cotillion White paint and the paint is flawless and brand
new. The vehicle has no dents or dings or scratches. The chrome trim and
bumpers are also in excellent condition. All the chrome on the vehicle is showroom new. The exterior features lighted flag stands on the front fenders. All badging is brand new chrome and it is fitted with "FLEETWOOD PHAETON" emblems on the rear doors. There are a total of six doors that open but the middle doors have no door handles for a clean and finished limousine look. The front driver’s compartment is finished in original medium blue leather and it is in very good shape with no rips or tears.
The rear
salon is brand new in all aspects. The middle seat faces the rear. On each
side of the middle seat are two cup holders and champagne buckets built in to the door panels. The
rear seat is raised ten inches and has air conditioning vents under it that
blows ice cold. The rear salon is fitted with medium blue vinyl which is brand

There are two air conditioning systems in the vehicle with controls in the front for the factory air and the rear air conditioning system that has vents under the middle and rear seats for use to cool passengers during long parades. White wall tires have a good 75% left on them and like new Cadillac Factory Correct Rims. The trunk is like factory with brand new full size spare, jack. The limousine is in mint condition
with 47K miles on it. Reserve is low considering the original purchase and
build cost of this vehicle.
We have used this car in parades all
over Florida and have new buses coming
in so one of these must go. This vehicle is open in the rear 1/3 with a snap on roof that stores on the back deck or in the trunk. The manual top is vinyl just like the roof and clear plastic back window to cover the back totally if it gets caught in the rain. It stores either on the back parade deck or in the trunk and I would compare it to a boat bimini that takes 3 minutes to snap on. That alone costs $1550.00 and it is yours with the car.
We never needed it and never take it
out on cloudy days
We have many other pictures and a
complete features list we can send serious buyers upon request by email thru
Ebay Ask questions THRU EBAY before you bid please. Email thru ebay so we can
post answers. PLEASE ask before you bid. PLEASE- PLEASE-PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE
MONEY TO BUY.

GM to add 1,200 workers at 2 Michigan factories
Sat, Feb 29 2020DETROIT — General Motors is adding 1,200 jobs at two Michigan factories to build midsize SUVs and two new luxury sedans. GM said Friday that its Lansing Delta Township plant will get a third shift and 800 more workers to build the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave SUVs, which have three rows of seats. The Lansing Grand River plant will get a second shift and 400 more workers to build two new Cadillac sedans, the CT4 and CT5. Employees laid off at other GM factories will fill the new jobs first, then workers will be added, GM spokesman Dan Flores said. The company has not determined yet how many new people will be needed, he said. Both additional shifts will start working sometime between April and June, the company said. Lansing Delta Township now employs about 2,500 salaried and blue-collar workers, while the Grand River plant has 1,400. GM sold more than 147,000 Traverse SUVs in the U.S. last year, a 0.4% increase from 2018. Enclave sales were up 3% to just over 51,000, according to Autodata Corp. Related Video:
Remembering Pierre Cardin's automotive legacy
Wed, Dec 30 2020Pierre Cardin has passed away at age 98, and while the designer had a great impact on the world of fashion, he also brought his signature style to the automotive realm, chiefly with the unlikely partner of American Motors. At the dawn of the 1970s, AMC decided to seek out a little glamour for its freshly renewed product lineup by having famous fashion designers work their magic on AMC cars. The first model to get the fashion treatment was the Hornet Sportabout wagon, with a special Gucci edition that became available for 1972. Later that same year, Pierre Cardin's Javelin was introduced. The Cardin Javelin arrived midway through the '72 model year as an interior option package. The designer had submitted as many as 10 proposals to AMC, and the chosen selection was a black interior with a wild multi-hued stripe of silver, white, red and purple that grooved across the seats, touched the door panels and continued onto the headliner. "People should feel like they're sitting in a living room rather than a machine," the designer was quoted in ads introducing his eponymous Javelin. In a press release, AMC said, "Cardin takes an ultra-modern abstract approach to his interior design." The Cardin interior option package was available with specific exterior colors: Snow White, Stardust Silver, Trans Am Red, and Wild Plum. For the '73 model year, Diamond Blue was a new exterior color option. The Pierre Cardin option was only $85 and was offered exclusively on the Javelin SST, although it's reported that the Pierre Cardin option also appeared on a handful of Javelin AMX models. For 1973, you could officially get a Pierre Cardin Javelin AMX. A total of 4,152 were built over the two model years. AMC's next fashion special was the Matador coupe, but the automaker tapped Oleg Cassini for that gig. Pierre Cardin was not finished with the automobile business, though. In 1975, he put his touch on the Sbarro Stash, an obscure supercar based on the SV1, with the result displayed at the Paris auto show. The designer next customized a run of early-'80s Cadillac Eldorados, and this time the treatment extended beyond the interior. A redesigned front end featured hidden headlights behind a full-width horizontal-car grille but unfortunately made the already-considerable front overhang even longer; the rear treatment was similarly modified with the factory vertical taillights replaced with horizontal units.
2015 Cadillac Escalade is exactly what you expect [w/video]
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Leading up to the debut of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, we were told that the new luxo-SUV would be "much less ostentatious" and that we could expect greater differentiation from its Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon siblings. And while those things may be true to some extent, after digesting the full raft of Escalade information and photography, we can say that this new 2015 model is exactly what we were expecting all along.
No, there isn't a single part of the new Escalade package makes us go "wow" or "ooh," but it still looks like a solid, nicely updated offering that will surely attract the same sort of baller status when it hits the road. For starters, the new front end has been completely redesigned, where cleaner, tauter lines work with the full-LED headlamps and running lamps to create a face that, while familiar, falls right in line with the rest of Cadillac's lineup. Around the sides, the shape is exactly the same as the rest of the SUV's platform mates, with better-fitting body panels and a handsome, upright design. Of course, 20-inch wheels are standard, and hifalutin' 22-inch rollers are available (in chrome, we assume). Things get really interesting around back, where full-LED taillamps extend from the bumper all the way up to the top of the tailgate, and - like the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon - the rear window wiper has been integrated into the top of the hatch for a cleaner look. It all looks pretty modern and good, but doesn't really tone down the otherwise flashiness of the Escalade package.
Like its predecessor, the new Escalade will be available in standard- and extended-wheelbase formats (bring on the EXT!). Only one engine is available: GM's 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, good for 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Both two- and four-wheel drive configurations will be offered, and the new Escalade should be a bit better to drive than the previous model, with a new coil-over front suspension and five-link rear setup, a wider track, variable-assist electric power steering and Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control system with Tour and Sport modes.
