1990 Fleetwood Sixty Special 60-s ,1 Owner, Non-smoker, Clean Well Maintained. on 2040-cars
Hemet, California, United States

1990 Fleetwood Sixty Special. 1 older Southern California owner since new, conservative, non-smoker, very well maintained, he bought this car new (paid cash) at Martin Cadillac in Los Angeles to use to mainly drive back and forth once a month to Nevada. The miles are mainly highway. These types of Fleetwood's are slightly longer (about 6 inches) and were built in limited quantities, less than 1900 produced this particular year model. Being a vinyl roof delete makes it very scarce (and better looking!). This car is loaded. I have dealer invoice $38912.00, car has about every option except sun roof. This car is always garage kept when not out and about.
Car starts, runs and drives well. Small exhaust leak you only notice upon heavier acceleration. Brakes tires and other mechanics are all very good. If the car needed anything it would get it. Owner kept owners maintenance log in back of owner manual up to date. Front door weather stripping was recently replaced at nearly 700.00. This Cadillac is equipped with the powerful 4.5 engine, much more reliability then some of the other Cadillac engines available in that era. This car is a real powerhouse! Paint is a beautiful dark blue shade "Black Sapphire". It is the original and still retains it's deep luster. There are a few small dings and scratches you might expect but, overall beautiful. Chrome and stainless all very nice. Glass is all good, windshield does have 2x stone chips. One of the side bumper pads has a minor scrape, could be easily touched up. Interior is very nice, only minor ware mainly on drivers seat, not bad. Seats have about every tilt, lumbar position known to man. Even has heated seats! Plenty of leg room both front and rear. 4x overhead illuminated vanity mirrors, minor wrinkles on felt type headliner but, nothing that grabs your eye. Dash is very nice, door panels extremely good condition. Everything works to my knowledge. The radio was replaced with a more modern CD/MP3 player that looks just fine, if you didn't know you would assume the car came with it from factory. Trunk compartment is very clean and nice. Spare tire still in place and appears to have never been removed. Please bid only if you have all of your funds readily available. Please PayPal initial payment of 500.00 within 24 hrs. (If buy it now, immediately), please pay balance in full within 5 days, no PayPal for balance. Please contact me shortly after you win. Car is nearly 25 years old hence; NO WARRANTY. Please remove the car at your earliest opportunity, not to exceed 2 weeks please. It will be kept indoors. Sold as is where is. Hemet Ca 92544. I can assist on this end with your shipping transporter. Please get permission from your mother, wife, Dr, lawyer etc, prior to bidding. Please do not attempt to renegotiate after auction. NO FIRST TIME BIDDERS PLEASE, if you feel you must bid contact me prior with your intentions. You may preview car with advanced notice. Thank You |

Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs
Fri, Dec 6 2019General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.Â
GM recalls 740,000 vehicles over daytime running light issue
Wed, Dec 14 2022General Motors is recalling over 740,000 vehicles due to a daytime running light issue that causes all of the affected cars to run afoul of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Vehicles affected by this recall are spread across many of GM’s brands. Models include the 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5, 2021-2023 Buick Envision, 2022-2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, 2022-2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe and 2022-2023 GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL. GM says that the daytime running lights may remain on in these cars when the headlights are activated. This is a problem, because FMVSS rules require that the daytime running lights deactivate once the headlights turn on. If the DRLs remain on, GM says that could result in additional glare, thereby increasing the risk of an accident. The cause of this failure to deactivate the DRLs comes from body control module software that “under a combination of certain pre-conditions, could fail to deactivate the DRLs,” according to GM. Other GM vehicles were tested, but due to a difference in software or hardware, they remain unaffected. If this is reminding you of another recent GM recall, youÂ’d be right, as GM recalled another 340,000 vehicles for the same issue last month. After that original issue was found within GM, the company began looking into its other cars to determine if the population was larger than originally thought. GM found the additional vehicles included in todayÂ’s recall have the problem. The fix will either be via an over-the-air update or it will require you to bring the vehicle into a dealer for a software update, depending on which vehicle you have. Owner notification letters letting folks know what is necessary are currently scheduled to go out on January 23, 2023. Related video: Cadillac Escalade Infotainment Review
Editors' Picks February 2022 | GMC Yukon, CT4-V Blackwing and Lexus NX 450h+
Fri, Mar 11 2022The shortest month of the year spawned a few Editors' Picks choices, and they come from a variety of categories amongst the car world. One comes with a particular caveat, the Lexus NX. Specifically, the new NX that gets our nod is the 450h plug-in hybrid model. We can heartily recommend an NX in this guise for its superb electrified powertrain, but the other versions fail to stir us in the same way. Beyond this, it's some of the latest from GM cleaning up, and they sure are some good ones. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in January that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 GMC Yukon Quick take: The Yukon is a big, comfortable and versatile SUV that has a little something for everybody, so long as you can stomach the fuel economy. It's an excellent middle ground between the Tahoe and Escalade. Score: 8.0 What it competes with: Ford Expedition, Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, Lincoln Navigator, Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade Pros: Tons of space, comfy ride, great trim variety, powerful engine options Cons: V8 Fuel economy, infotainment can be laggy, unexciting base interiors From the editors Road Test Editor, Zac Palmer — "GM's full-size SUVs are fantastic this time around, especially if you opt for the magnetic shocks and air suspension. The availability of a diesel engine that vastly improves fuel economy is huge, and the Denali trim is more special than ever with its unique interior design. I personally prefer the Yukon's styling over the Tahoe's, too." In-depth analysis: 2022 GMC Yukon Review | AT4 and Denali make the strongest case  2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Quick take: Cadillac is at the top of the mountain with its performance sedans, and the CT4-V Blackwing is no exception. One drive in this magnificent creation will have any enthusiast convinced that it's a top-tier sport sedan.
