Up for auction I have a very nice 1952 Cadillac Fleetwood.

The motor runs out good with no knocks or funny noise and  the trans shifts nice and smooth as it should.

The exterior of the car shines very well however does have some small scratches in the light green paint hear and there. The Dark green top shines like a diamond and is almost flawless The chrome on the car is driver quality with the grill and headlight bezels  being painted silver at one time by someone.(note the dent in the stainless in the pictures. The Wide Whites Are showing a little age however are still very road worthy. All Exterior light are good and note broken.

The interior of the car has been redone in a very nice green velour seats, headliner and new carpet. All Gauges seem to work as they should including gas guage. When you enter this car it welcomes you with a nice interior light glow over a great looking interior that you would not be a shamed to take anyone out for a drive anywhere. The car starts up very fine with the original 6-volt system and when the radio warms up you can even listen to some old AM tune.  This Car Drive down the road better than my DTS I drive daily.

The power Windows will need a little attention, two out off four work  and pump kicks on for all four leading me to  think it will need a couple door cylinders.

Feel Free to Call with any question or would like to inspect. 9-9 mon-sat

I am a Michigan Dealer and will have to collect proper tax for most states on top of final sale. Car is sold AS IS NO WARRANTY and I reserve right to end auction early at anytime.

Cadillac logo losing its wreath?

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

The easily recognizable Cadillac logo dates back to the company's founding in the early 1900s, but over the last 110 years, there has been an on-again, off-again love affair with the wreath surrounding the crest. Cadillac's current badge design has used the wreath since the 1980s, but Automotive News is reporting that GM's luxury division is planning to ditch the laurel wreath for a cleaner-looking logo.
The new logo could make its debut as early as next month on a new concept car that will be revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, although the report also says that it might be until 2015 before it makes its way to a production car. Even then, it doesn't like anything has been finalized yet, as the article also says that plans could still change.
As Cadillac looks to improve its global presence as a luxury automaker, the report says that a simpler logo could make it easier for designers to incorporate the badge onto the car - either in the grille or above the grille (possibly in a fashion similar to Mercedes-Benz). Head on over to the AN article, which shows the Cadillac logo dating back to its earliest design.

Cadillac dealers frustrated over Escalade production snarls

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Lincoln went through it during the launch of the MKZ last year, Jeep went through something similar with its Cherokee launch, and now the 2015 Cadillac Escalade has apparently caught the bug: dealer delivery delays because of quality control checks. Automotive News reports that Cadillac dealers have been waiting three times longer than usual - a month or more - from the time an Escalade leaves the assembly line to when it gets delivered. Worse, dealers are saying they don't always know where their vehicles are in transit, or when they are set to arrive. The situation has upset customers who have put down deposits and things have gotten so bad that some dealers have reportedly stopped taking pre-orders.
Cadillac says it has the delay, called "dwell time," down to two weeks, and it expects to cut that to a week by the beginning of September. The company said "a lengthy quality-assurance process on some interior parts" has caused the lag, the report citing additional issues with figuring out which vehicles should be delivered first. A spokesman said that more trucks have been put in the distribution system to work through the backlog, but it's clear it's still going to take some time to set things right, with one dealer telling AN that cars ordered in February and March still haven't arrived.
Brand chief Kurt McNeil said additional personnel are at the Escalade's Arlington, Texas factory to speed up the checks, and spreadsheets tracking every order have been distributed to field staff. Even with the snafu, though, the Escalade is Cadillac's best seller through July.

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe prepares to fight BMW 4 Series

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Cadillac introduced its new ATS Coupe at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show today, bringing customers an alternative to the growing range of sport luxury coupes typified by the BMW 4 Series, Audi A5 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.
The ATS Coupe, as a slightly more premium offering, ditches the wheezy 2.5-liter engine found in the basic ATS Sedan, but retains the four-door's 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and 3.6-liter V6. That four-pot turbo benefits from a fettling that has increased torque from 260 pound-feet to 295, although its peak is only available from 3,000 rpm to 4,600 rpm, unlike in the sedan, where peak twist arrives at just 1,700 rpm and sticks around until 5,500 rpm.
Power can be channeled to either the rear or all four wheels by the owner's choice of a Tremec six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. According to Cadillac, the new Coupe can get to 60 in 5.6 seconds when fitted with the 2.0-liter turbo.
