This 2008 Cadillac Escalade was purchased from Sewell Cadillac in Dallas, a few years ago because of their reputation as one of the most outstanding dealers in the nation for selling quality automobiles and outstanding service of those vehicles. This vehicle was purchased for my wife who is a 66 year old English Professor. She wanted the nicest and best Cadillac Escalade available and we located this vehicle which has been Perfect in everyway. It had very few miles on it when we bought it and most of our buying has been nothing but new Cadillac Escalades. We have owned 4 brand new Cadillac Escalades and this particular one is the nicest one that we have ever owned. This vehicle has been serviced to perfection it's entire life using only Mobile 1 oil. The vehicle has no scratches, nicks, paint work, or anything to take away from its beauty. The Escalade has been garage kept its entire life and protected from the outdoor weather. We just bought new tires and new brakes for the vehicle. The cost of the tires and the new brakes was a little over 2,000 dollars. The vehicle looks, runs, and drives like a new one. Our automobiles have never been smoked in and we never have put an animal in the vehicle. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer Escalade anywhere than this one. You can see and feel the quality of a car that has been lovingly taken care of. No accidents of any kind and no paintwork. Our main reason for selling is that we have too many vehicles and are getting ready to retire and need to part with a few of them. If you come to Emory, Texas and test drive this Cadillac Escalade I firmly believe that you will buy it. It is just like new with only 88K highway miles on it. We get 19 mpg on the highway using regular gasoline. Hope to hear from you soon.
My wife especially loves the heated and cooled seats along with the heated leather steering wheel. The 22 inch chrome wheels are like new and so are the tires. The DVD player is awesome!!! XM stereo sounds unbelievable!!! If you are a serious buyer on this vehicle please call me at 903-473-2132 in Emory, Texas--1 hour east of Dallas, Texas---The Escalade is priced at 32,900.00 and worth every penny of it. Thanks for looking at the Escalade and may you have a wonderful day, Rob----

GM veteran Bryan Nesbitt tapped to head Buick design
Sat, Jun 6 2015General Motors styling veteran Bryan Nesbitt (pictured above) took over a new role on Monday as executive director of global Buick design and global architectures. Andrew Smith, who previously did that job and also coordinated the look for Cadillac, has remained in charge of the pen at Caddy with this shift. Nesbitt rose to prominence when he designed the Chrysler PT Cruiser, according to Automotive News. He joined GM in 2001 and has been there ever since in multiple high-level roles. In 2007, he was appointed vice president of design for North America and was later briefly general manager of Cadillac in 2009-2010. Nesbitt took over as the vice president of GM's international operations design in China in 2011. This shuffle also moves Ken Parkinson, currently styling boss for Chevrolet trucks, to China as design vice president there. In addition, John Cafaro becomes the person in charge of the look for Chevy globally, rather than previously splitting that role between cars and trucks with Parkinson. GM Global Design Leadership Changes – effective June 1, 2015. Bryan Nesbitt, Design Vice President, GM China will repatriate to North America and assume the position of Executive Director, Global Buick and Global Architectures. He will be located in Warren, MI. Bryan will be the design Champion for Buick in the US and China. Ken Parkinson, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Trucks and Global Architecture will assume the position of Design Vice President, GM China. He will be based in Shanghai, China. Andrew Smith, Executive Director, Global Cadillac and Buick Design will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Cadillac. He will continue to be the design Champion for the Cadillac brand. In addition, he will continue to lead the Global Color & Trim team. He will be based in Warren, Michigan. John Cafaro, Executive Director, Global Chevrolet Cars will assume the position of Executive Director, Global Chevrolet. He will be the design Champion for Chevrolet. In addition, John will lead the exterior components and accessories team. He will continue to be based in Warren, MI. The roles and responsibilities of Helen Emsley, Mark Adams, Carlos Barba, Clay Dean, Michael Simcoe, and Teckla Rhoades remain the same. 2013 Cadillac XTS [w/video]
Wed, 30 Jan 2013The Cadillac Of Stopgaps
As confusing as most alphanumeric car names have gotten in recent years, at least one constant has been that the letter "X" is generally indicative of a crossover. Then why did General Motors use this letter on its new 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan? Well, for that, we'll have to look to the world of mathematics where "X" stands for an unknown variable or a placeholder. Now we're talking. The XTS is just an interim product sitting at the top of Cadillac's four-door food chain until the brand gets a true flagship in place. That sounds like a lot of resources to spend on what will likely be a one-and-done model, but the automaker needed to get something - anything - to replace the DTS.
So here you have the 2013 XTS. A big luxury sedan that was created to bridge the gap between Cadillac's recent past and its pending future. Going into our week with this XTS knowing that it was a stopgap measure proved to be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, we know (or hope) that this car will act as a baseline for future high-end Cadillac models, but at the same time, we couldn't help but be mindful of past stopgap models, albeit in more entry-level segments, like the Cimarron and Catera.
