Selling my 2000 Escalade ....Bought a Pickup for work a few months ago and my insurance on the Escalade expires soon so I have to sell it. I've put a ton of money into it.It has 140k miles which is low for these 5.7 Vortec motors. This engine has new head gasket done 3 years ago with new radiator and hoses. 6 months ago I upgraded the fuel injection from the Vortec spider injector to a multi-port injection system which gives it more power and fuel economy also a smooth idle.(Google Mpi upgrade for Vortec 5.7) for more info on that. When I did that I also changed the IAC,MAP and Throttle position sensor's with new AC Delco parts and a complete Tune up also with Delco parts. It has a complete new Magnaflow exhaust from the ends of the exhaust manifolds all the way to the exhaust tip(single behind tire) with catalytic and Muffler(nice sound not obnoxious) with 4 brand new Bosch oxygen sensors. It is 4x4 with selectable 2hi ,4 hi , 4 low and 4wd auto which senses wheel slip and distributes traction where needed..The transmission shifts smooth. This thing can tow a house.
The paint on her is 90% just because front bumper has some scuffs and rear bumper as well.Minor not collisions and mirrors are faded but I have 2 mirrors that need installation .New Headlights Corners and tail lights. It has new bushings and ball joints.Tires are 75%..The interior is ok.The seats need to be redyed but aren't bad 2 small tears on drivers seat and a tear on Rear passenger seat.I will include some 06 Escalade seats that have been modified to fit this body style. They need upholstery. The center console is in bad shape but I have another that needs paint and needs to be installed. It has a Clifford alarm with auto start and pager the works within 3 miles. It will page the remote if the alarm is triggered($500).Has pioneer speakers(6 of them replaced stock speakers) and pioneer head unit.Im sure I'm forgetting a lot but that's all I remember for now.Email any questions and I will respond ASAP ....... $5000

2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6 AWD

All-Wheel, All Right
There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?

GM's Mark Reuss explains why a performance Cadillac ELR-V won't happen

Tue, Mar 18 2014

Hey, I've got enough things to worry about. That's one interpretation of General Motors executive vice president Mark Reuss' response to a question posed by Driving the Nation about the recently-introduced Cadillac ELR plug-in hybrid. Reuss said GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR. The question was whether GM would consider adding magnetic ride control to the quite-powerful-for-a-plug-in Caddy, creating an "ELR-V" model in the process. Reuss' non-answer: "Good question, can't really answer that," but then elaborated that magnetic ride control uses up "a lot" of power otherwise spoken for in terms of providing the longest electric-only range possible. Interestingly, he did add that GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR, as you can see in the video below. With the model retailing for north of $75,000, fewer than 60 percent of US Cadillac dealers were carrying the ELR as of last month and just 99 ELRs were sold during the first two months of the year. In an effort to sell more vehicles, GM said in January that it would offer the ELR for a 39-month lease for $699 a month for qualified lessees and with a $5,999 down-payment required. Autoblog's First Drive impressions of the ELR can be found here.

Cadillac CT4 Luggage Test | How much fits in the trunk?

Fri, Dec 4 2020

If you go by exterior specs, the Cadillac CT4 is more similar to a BMW 3 Series or Mercedes C-Class. However, if you go by interior space (or price), it's more like a Mercedes A-Class or BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. That's definitely true of the trunk, which measures a rinky-dink 10.9 cubic feet, according to GM's specs. That number is what you'd expect in a small luxury coupe rather than a sedan. Indeed, the old ATS Coupe had 10.4 cubic feet.  Nevertheless, the CT4 is somehow not the smallest in the segment. That would be the A-Class and its 8.9-cubic-foot trunk. Good grief. Now, Mercedes has been known to shortchange its cargo capacity numbers so we'll have to luggage test that at some point to know for sure. Today, let's see if the CT4 is in keeping with that 10.9 number. Also, how much worse is it than the also rinky-dink CT5 trunk or the overly optimistic 2 Series Gran Coupe? Yep, that looks pretty small. Also, note the weird rail-like things that hampered the CT5 (below right) are also present here in the CT4 (below left). There's also a similar lip to clear for the folding back seat, but the CT4's opening seems bigger.  As in every luggage test I do, I use two midsize roller suitcases that would need to be checked in at the airport (26 inches long, 16 wide, 11 deep), two roll-aboard suitcases that just barely fit in the overhead (24L x 15W x 10D), and one smaller roll-aboard that fits easily (23L x 15W x 10D). I also include my wife's fancy overnight bag just to spruce things up a bit (21L x 12W x 12D). All but the biggest bag fit, which is exactly the same number that could fit in the CT5. As the below photo shows, the bigger car has just a bit more space left over. Maybe for a pair of grocery bags. That would be consistent with the difference in cubic feet: 11.9 cubic feet versus 10.9. What about the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe? BMW says it has 15.1 cubic feet of space, but it doesn't. At least not using the same measurement criteria that the vast majority of other manufacturers use. It can carry the biggest bag, but it would still need to leave the fancy bag behind. That's also while utilizing the 2 GC's ample under-floor storage compartment.  As such, the CT4 does indeed have a small trunk, but it's at least in keeping with its competitors. The CT5 cannot say that, regardless of which segment you compare it to.  Unfortunately for the CT4, though, the story does not stop here.
