Here is a great opportunity to own an American classic! This is a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop. First year for this new and highly acclaimed model design. Just rebuilt engine with less than 100 miles on it. Have all receipts for parts and machine work (over 2K). Block was machined, new maximum torque specialities cam, valve job done, master rebuild kit installed, new oil pump, new fuel pump and fuel lines from gas tank to engine, gas tank dropped and cleaned, new fuel sending unit installed, fuel gauge does not work though, new temperature sensor, new vacumn hoses, radiator removed, hot tanked, roded and resoldered and pressure checked, new radiator cap, new overflow, new passanger side power window motor, new battery, new carpet, exhaust repaired and new seals/gaskets installed, two new tires installed in front. Since the engine has been replaced, I entered 0000 as the mileage in this listing. If you want to know the mileage on the odometer (which is not the miles on the engine) let me know
Front end has been aligned. Transmission serviced and filter replaced.
Included with the car are the following new items that have not been installed:
weatherstrip - new rear quarter window seals, roof rails, door seals
I have other parts and will add an addendum later this week. However, there is a spare instrument cluster, compressor tank for the air cushion ride and A/C compressor. Also, I have a 1 pound can of R12 and the a/c tools to recharge that are included. I have not tried to test the cruise control.
The chrome on the car is very very nice original condition. The body is very straight, there are some small old repairs on the roof side panels of some sort and the roof was repainted to protect from elements as the old vinyl roof appears to have been removed a long time ago. Glass seems to be good. two small scratches on a side window. No chips seen. The body appears to be in very good overall condition, there is however some surface rust in the trunk. Photos will be posted to show it. The floor pans also had rust at some point and the previous owner put in new heavy duty custom floor pans.
The car has the original jack, full size spare, mag style hubcaps (factory) factory strato seats. Also the shop manual, body manual and Cadillac Eldorado collector car book are included too. I will be posting some more pictures this weekend. There is the original 8 track tape unit too..
I have driven the car the 100 miles consisting of short trips. It drove good. But as I have had this car in my garage for about 4 years, I would not recommend driving it a long distance without getting the rear tires replaced. You will notice that the engine is 472 cid vs the 425 cid . The 472 block is much better with many improved designs for water flow in the engine, reduction of vibration from a/c and other improvements. The block was a 1968 Cadillac Eldorado block. The car will need a new paint job.

2021 Cadillac Escalade price increases take starting price to $77,490
Wed, Apr 15 2020Update: This story has been updated with official pricing from Cadillac that includes the destination charge and pricing for the long wheelbase ESV model. The modified story continues below. As the 2021 Cadillac Escalade prepares behind-the-scenes for duty in front of real-life red carpets, more information on the brand new fifth-generation SUV bubbles to the surface. GM Authority got its hands on some MSRP figures the other day, but we have the official pricing from Cadillac now. GM kept pricing of the other full-sized SUV family — the Tahoe, Suburban, and Yukon — unchanged or close to the outgoing models. Escalade intenders will be happy to know the same goes here, the 2021 example priced at $77,490 after a $1,295 destination charge is added in, only $1,000 more that the soon-to-be retired 2020 Escalade for a fancier cabin and lots of new tech inside and out. Cadillac reworked the trim walk for 2021 to its Y-trim configuration, splitting into Luxury and Sport models above the base trim. There were four options in 2020, not including all-wheel-drive versions: Base, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum. There are five for the new year: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum. The switcheroo makes it hard to compare all but the bottom and top trims, but the price walk for rear-wheel-drive versions goes: Luxury: $77,490 Premium Luxury: $84,290 Sport: $86,890 Premium Luxury Platinum: $101,290 Sport Luxury Platinum: $101,290 Add $3,000 to any of those trim prices, and you'll have the corresponding long wheelbase ESV price. Four wheel drive is a similar $3,000 charge on any trim. That means the base price on the top trim Escalade ESV with four-wheel drive is $107,290. The 2021 Platinum models are $7,700 more than the 2020 Escalade Platinum. The standard engine is the 6.2-liter V8, shifting through a 10-speed transmission. And the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel is a no-cost option, so take your pick. Customers could end up waiting for the Escalade as well, depending on when every kind of manufacturing can restart in earnest to serve the Arlington, Texas, plant all the parts it needs to build the new SUV. Junkyard Gem: 1983 Cadillac Cimarron
Wed, Jul 26 2017Ah, the Cadillac Cimarron. Conceived during a time when oil prices were zooming upward and smallish luxury imports such as the Datsun 810 and BMW 320i were stealing Detroit's customers, the idea of a fuel-efficient compact Cadillac made sense. Unfortunately for GM, the Cimarron was an image-tarnishing disaster. Here's a fairly well-preserved '83 that I spotted in a Phoenix self-service wrecking yard. In the words of Pulitzer-winning Dan Neil in his 50 Worst Cars of All Time: "Everything that was wrong, venal, lazy and mendacious about GM in the 1980s was crystallized in this flagrant insult to the good name and fine customers of Cadillac." The Cimarron was a Chevrolet Cavalier with a bit of added bling and a fatter price tag. The Chevrolet Nova-based Cadillac Seville had sold pretty well during the late 1970s, so there was precedent for a small, Chevy-based Cadillac. The hood latch mechanism was broken (of course), so I couldn't shoot any photos of this car's 2.0-liter pushrod four-cylinder engine, rated at 86 horsepower. Here's a GM-produced documentary touting the futuristic design of the '83 Cimarron. The Cimarron Dream. If Cadillac’s smart, the CT5 will be a CTS without baggage
Fri, Jul 28 2017Cadillac is, mercifully, about to rationalize its lineup, something that's been a long time coming. The CTS is one of those cars that gets admiration from reviewers, like us, for a concerted effort from GM to engineer an underlying platform that matches the Germans in terms of raw dynamics. From buyers, it gets not even a shrug as they, oblivious to its existence, walk right into BMW and Mercedes dealerships. The reasons for this have a lot to do with the sheer brand recognition, and the image, of the German competitors. You can't really lay that all at GM's feet, but what you can do is critique the uninspired drivetrain selection. The 3.6-liter V6 is a crude implement, making its 335 horsepower roughly. The BMW's equivalent inline six makes its power smoothly, with modern forced induction. There's no directly comparable E-Class sedan until you get into the V-Sport versus E43 situation, but the turbo four is smooth. And the interior? No question. The Mercedes is jaw-slacking. The story for the CTS's turbo four is largely the same. Some blame also has to be leveled at the first- and second-generation CTS sedans, which adopted an odd strategy: sell a slightly larger sedan to folks looking at 3-Series, A4, and C-Class, but at about the same price. Folks weren't interested in a larger car for the same money. Despite the third-gen CTS's growth into the 5-Series size class, the CTS still seems like an odd in-betweener in the sport luxury segment – psychologically, if not physically. CTS sales are in the toilet in 2017, and GM is smart to shake things up. So with the announcement that Cadillac head honcho Johan de Nysschen has finally been allowed to kill off underperforming models, the CTS is toast. (As is the ATS, and much more importantly, the XTS – a shambling dinosaur of a sedan.) What's next is the CT5, and that's what we're interested in now. Cadillac has until 2019 to figure out what the CT5 actually is. That isn't a lot of time, so our money is on it being a repositioned, rationalized CTS. The platform's not bad; it's heavier than the larger CT6, but it's fairly modern. Sadly, it's unlikely that any of the standard powertrain options will get a revamp, but maybe some additional sound deadening or an active engine mount system to reduce NVH will quell the V6's bad habits. View 32 Photos More importantly, Cadillac will get a chance to work on the interior look, almost certainly aligning it more closely with the much improved CT6. That'll help a lot.
