Up for auction is My 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible with clean and clear title. Cruise it daily as is or restore it to new condition. This would make an easy project as the car is solid with no rust or mechanical issues, what it needs is mostly cosmetic. To make a show car of it, its going to need the following... Paint, Top and interior work also the power seat fuse keeps blowing and the light on the dash for the trunk being open never turns off while driving. The car runs drives and stops like it should. The heater/AC, lights and wipers work. No rust. Aftermarket Stereo, Custom grille, wire wheels and continental kit. Car is being sold as a project so expect to have to repair the things mentioned above or just drive and enjoy it.
I tried to get photos of all the angles but if You need more please let me know, If you would like to come see it please let me know, If You would like to have some sort of automotive professional come inspect it please let me know, If I forgot something please let me know, If you have any questions please let me know. Email works for me but if you want to text or talk, you can call my cell phone 253 226-0962 anytime.
I've sold more than a few cars here on Ebay over the years and never had any issues. I've found that cash payment in person work best(if your coming to pick it up yourself) If not a bank to bank transfer is best for a non local buyer, I will also accept a cashiers check but I can't let the car go before it clears (my bank isn't the fastest when processing checks) I expect some form of contact from the winning bidder with in 24 hours of the auctions ending and full payment with in 72 hours unless we agree on different terms, so please have your funds in order before bidding to own this ride. Also there is a lot of people that like to play games with these types of auctions from time to time, so I would like to ask them not to waste mine and other EBayers time and money, as we would never think of wasting yours.
I'm setting the reserve at a fourth of what I would be asking if it had fresh paint, interior/top done (please don't ask what it is) and please don't ask what I would sell it for now by ending the auction early. I'm only letting it go because I could use the money to get my 57 Chevy finished and cruising this summer. If your coming to get the car in person I will give You the Title and Bill of Sale then, If not I can express mail it after the payment clears. I have and will work with you transport company as much as possible and can deliver the truck to a port in my local area free of charge.
Thanks for looking and good luck finding your next classic car!

Cadillac ATS-V Coupe caught undisguised ahead of LA reveal
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Vsport versions of the CTS and XTS sedans are all well and good, but what Cadillac enthusiasts have really been looking forward to is the arrival of the next full-on V model. And here we have it.
Spied in the nude during an apparent photo shoot ahead of its anticipated debut at the fast-approaching Los Angeles Auto Show, the upcoming new Cadillac ATS-V Coupe is set to pick up where the old CTS-V left off, only in a more compact form. Unlike previous spy shots of heavily disguised prototypes, this final version is showing a chrome-framed mesh grille, along with a deep lower air dam with what looks to be a carbon-fiber front splitter. That bulging hood with heat extractor vents is tipped to be packing a twin-turbo V6 engine, breathing out of quad exhaust tips.
The aggressive aero kit also encompasses side skirts, a reshaped rear bumper and a lip spoiler on the truck, while the upgraded rolling stock wears serious low-profile rubber and the brakes appear to be carbon-ceramic units. Peer through the window and you can even see the sport bucket seats with slots for racing harnesses. All of which suggests a serious American challenger to the BMW M4 and its ilk, and we're looking forward to seeing the vehicle in the metal in LA next month.
Cool car technology is cool until it breaks
Fri, Mar 27 2015Ah, technology – the beautiful date that impresses all your friends but costs you a fortune to keep happy, up-to-date, and working. Automotive News puts some numbers to the economic toll we're paying to jockey this technological Trojan horse, an analysis it sums up with "Technology is great - until you have to replace it." Back in 2000, for instance, you could replace a Cadillac Escalade taillight lens for $56.08, or replace the entire unit for $220.49. Crack the rear lens on your 2015 Escalade and you have to buy a new unit for $795 - there's no such thing as just replacing a lens anymore. What about headlights? It was $210 for an Escalade headlight in 2000, it's $1,650 for the current unit (pictured). This is nothing we didn't know, these are just hard numbers to demonstrate it. Edmunds recently provided the same with its sledgehammer-bashing of the 2015 Ford F-150, Tesla Model S buyers have been shrieking about repair costs to their electric sedan's all-aluminum bodywork, and used-car sites are full of articles about which expensive-to-repair features to steer clear of if you want to avoid big repair bills. Those expensive bits increase the price of a car - Kelley Blue Book says the average price of a car is now more than $33,000 - and that raises rates for repairs and insurance. This comes in spite of some carmakers that have been collaborating with insurance companies and repair shops at the design stage in order to engineer parts that are easier and less expensive to replace. But the tech can have its cost-saving benefits: a 2011 study by the Highway Loss Data Institute found that Volvos fitted with that company's City Safety feature "filed 27 percent fewer property-damage liability claims" than luxury SUVs without it, and just last month the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety called adaptive headlights one of the top four crash-preventing technologies on cars today (after coming out against them in 2006). So yes, the technology costs a mint when it needs to be fixed - but being able to avoid an accident in the first place might make it worth it. Cadillac reveals stretched ATS-L in China
Tue, 29 Jul 2014In the market for a new Cadillac, but need more space than an ATS can afford? Then you'll want to look at the larger CTS. Unless you live in China, where buyers - often chauffeured instead of driving themselves - seem to prefer a long-wheelbase version of a smaller sedan than upgrading to a larger one. For those buyers, Cadillac has released the new ATS-L.
Based on the existing ATS sports sedan, the ATS-L offers an extra 3.3 inches of rear legroom over the model we get here. As a result, the ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches, while riding a quarter-inch lower than the standard-wheelbase model, which itself was recently updated. That places its length in between the regular ATS and the CTS available Stateside.
Otherwise it's essentially the same sedan, but appears to ditch the base 2.0-liter four to offer either the 2.0-liter turbo four or 3.6-liter V6. Of course this model, produced locally for the Chinese market, isn't likely to make the transpacific voyage to US showrooms, so American buyers will still have to choose between the standard ATS, the larger CTS or the even larger XTS.
