 The story:
I am the fourth owner of this car. My father was the third owner, and he gave me the vehicle when he moved out of the country. It was purchased by him at 55,000 miles in Janurary 2009 and we have both kept up on the maintenance even though the car is not driven that often. Records available for replacement of: tie rod ends, power window motor, front and rear brake pads, all four tires (80K mileage warranty with approx 10K miles on them), battery, recent four wheel alignment and standard maintenance including oil changes, AC service, fuel system, and coolant flush. Car fax report also available.

It is being sold because I have too many cars at the moment and I don't drive it.

Known issues:
  • There is a Car Fax mileage discrepancy when the rear pads were replaced where the technician incorrectly listed the vehicle having 111,111 miles. Please see picture.
  • Key for the wheel center caps are missing. Center caps have been removed, but can be reinstalled/removed with a flat head screwdriver.
  • Driver side door panel is a little loose. Cadillac dealership remedied the problem by screwing in the door panel.
  • Cigarette burns on the driver side A-pillar and front floor mats from previous owner. Vehicle DOES NOT smell of cigarette smoke.
  • Ash tray door does not fully close.
  • Leather seats are slightly worn.
  • Chrome wheels are slightly flaking around the spokes.
  • Minor dings and paint chips on door and bumpers.
  • Driver side power seat controls sometimes stick, but they do work.

  • Includes vehicle cover

  • Includes additional rubber floor mats

GM considering new powertrain options for large SUVs

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Aside from the new General Motors offerings, there's not a whole lot of action going on in the fullsize SUV segment. That doesn't seem to be stopping GM from pushing the envelope in the market as Automotive News is reporting that the automaker is looking to introduce some new powertrain options into the Chevy Tahoe (and Suburban), GMC Yukon (and Yukon XL) and the Cadillac Escalade - all have been redesigned for the 2015 model year.
Now, we already know that GM and Ford are collaborating on nine- and ten-speed transmissions for a broad range of applications (including the big SUVs), but this new report says that GM is also considering other options as a way to one-up the competition and, of course, to optimize fuel economy. AN quotes Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer for GM trucks, as saying that "interesting powertrain technologies" are coming including a return of a hybrid SUV and possibly even a diesel engine. Although it sounds like the latter could come down to how customers respond to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel.

Cadillac mulling CTS Coupe successor after all

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

The 2014 Cadillac CTS made a big splash last week at the New York Auto Show, but now that we've seen the sedan, we can start to wonder about whether coupe and wagon versions are in the cards. According to Edmunds, Cadillac is at least considering bringing back the CTS Coupe for a second generation, which seems like an even better chance since the brand's global marketing director, Jim Vurpillat, was quoted as saying that the car was the top-selling luxury coupe in the industry.
Of course, this goes against reports we heard last year that Caddy's coupe and wagon would live on just not under the CTS name, but the interview with Vurpillat has us hopeful for a next-generation CTS Coupe. If it does come to fruition, we would expect the new two-door to have a largely unique exterior design like the current CTS Coupe, to echo that of intended rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and even the high-dollar BMW 6 Series.

2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe favors cleanliness over radical lines

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Though you might not know it from looking at vehicles like the XTS and Escalade, if you take a broader look at history, you'll see that Cadillac models have gotten a lot smaller from the tail-finned highway cruisers of old. At least when it comes to coupes, anyway. The Eldorado, in particular, kept getting smaller until it disappeared, its place taken in recent years by decidedly more compact XLR, CTS Coupe and ELR hybrid. What you see here, however, is Cadillac's smallest coupe yet.
Revealed today at the Detroit Auto Show is the new 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe, the brand's first compact two-door coupe, and the first production car to wear the brand's all-new crest. It shares the same platform and wheelbase as the existing ATS sedan, but packs a wider track and unique bodywork that's decidedly more conservative and less unique in its angular styling than the CTS Coupe that it's likely to ultimately displace in the Cadillac lineup. Styling aside, the all-American luxury marque has engineered the ATS Coupe with a focus on reducing weight to the benefit of both performance and fuel economy, giving it near 50/50 weight balance front to rear with underbody aerodynamic elements helping it cheat the wind.
Buyers will be able to choose between two engines: a 2.0-liter turbo four and a 3.6-liter V6.
