This item is being relisted due to nonpayment by fraudulent Ebay member the505hookup. Feast your eyes on this immaculate eye catcher. To much disappointment, GM cancelled the long lived El Dorado of nearly 50 years back in 2002. In the last years of production, Cadillac really finessed their product and some of the best and most eye catching El Dorados were produced. This red Cadillac before you is a prime example. With only 90200 miles, this car is just broken in. This car starts instantly everytime and the 4.6 Northstar purrs without hesitation. This car has 4 newer matching Hankook tires with over 50% tread. The car goes down the road very smooth and the steering and suspension is tight. The brakes are in proper working order with plenty of pad left. The engine and transmission are in working order. In the past 1000 miles this car has received a Mobil 1 synthetic oil change, new air filter, mass air flow sensor cleaned, coolant flush, new thermostat, right front axle-shaft, both front wheel bearings, as well as a tire balance and rotation. There are no check engine lights on. The interior of this car is in excellent shape. The leather is in very good condition for the age of the vehicle. Everything is very clean and well kept. My favorite parts about the interior include the comfortable, heated seats, the sunroof and the bose sound system. The a/c heat blower motor for the fan intermittently works. A new blower is included in the trunk (worth over $150). The driver's seat recline feature does not work, however the tilt feature does the same job. For those of you who are acquainted with last generation El Dorados, you may have noticed the door panels tend to become loose and sloppy over time from pulling those large doors closed.... This is not the case with this car. The door panels are tight and in perfect shape. The exterior of this car is in excellent shape. The paint is smooth and has been polished to a brilliant luster, typical wear shows on this paint (small dings/ scratches/ chips) some of which have been touched up. The wheels are in near perfect condition! There is no road rash or signs of abuse! No cracks, or chips in the windshield. The power antenna works flawlessly. This car is priced to sell! I set the reserve low and I encourage anybody looking for a last generation El Dorado not to miss out on this beauty. Please read the following terms below before bidding. I strongly encourage all potential buyers to preview the car in person before the sale closes. Otherwise I will be more than happy to answer any questions regarding this vehicle. Good luck bidding! Terms of Sale This car is being sold AS IS. I recommend all potential bidders preview this car in person before buying. This vehicle must be picked up and paid for within 3 days. I require a $400 deposit within 48 hours of auction ending. The remaining balance must be in CASH. No exceptions. |

Cadillac rushing update for laggy CUE infotainment system
Tue, 05 Feb 2013BMW's innovative iDrive was introduced in 2001, and a dozen years later, automakers are still learning hard lessons about what consumers want in their infotainment systems. In response to owner feedback - and a few media drubbings - about the delayed and occasionally fickle responses of its CUE (short for Cadillac User Experience) system, Cadillac has told Wired that it's going to issue an update this year.
Coming for the XTS and ATS, the new software will mean quicker haptic feedback to driver inputs on the touchscreen and the buttons, and snappier responses on screen. Down the road, Cadillac's VP of marketing says that a different mix of screen controls and hard buttons is "something you'll be seeing in the future" - the system is presently a mix of touchscreen-based controls and capacitive-touch switchgear - there are no knobs or physical pushbuttons to speak of, and the omission of both has proven to be a divisive issue among consumers and industry pundits.
Cadillac hasn't provided a date for when the CUE update will be issued, but it has indicated that the service will be performed by dealers, not sent wirelessly.
Cadillac says it made CUE infotainment a lot better
Wed, Feb 22 2017We've never been huge fans of CUE, the Cadillac User Experience infotainment interface. It's been around a few years now, and the best thing we can say for it is that it now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, making it easy enough to replace most of the interface with a familiar smartphone-based system. Now Cadillac has made some big upgrades to the system that should address at least some of our concerns. First and foremost, the system is claimed to be more intuitive, with a more logical interface design. Cadillac has added a Summary View that gives an overview of the climate, media, navigation, and phone all at the same time. The system will also be able to receive over-the-air updates, allowing Cadillac to make improvements more often and push them out to owners' cars, mush like Tesla and other automakers already do. The 4G LTE connection will also be used to connect the car with the cloud, where drivers can store and modify their own personalized set of settings. This My Driver Preferences profile will include things like contacts, navigation preferences, and recent destinations, and will also follow them from one car equipped with the system to another. That should come in handy for anyone subscribing to the $1,500-a-month Book by Cadillac vehicle subscription service, which allows participants to swap between cars when they choose. The cloud connection will also carry over to a new available navigation function, which Cadillac claims has a more intuitive, smartphone-like interface. It uses its data connection to provide current destination info and is supposed to learn a driver's habits, such as their preferred routes and frequent destinations, which the system will then attempt to offer up predictively – so the car should be able to know that you're heading home at 5:00. Additional apps for the system will be available through Cadillac's new Collection app store. And it's still compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. One sore spot that appears to have been improved is the digital gauge package, although Cadillac hasn't offered details on that extension of the system. The current iteration's ability to over-customize the interface (our personal favorite is the option to display a total of four speedometers between the head-up display and the gauge screen; see video below) and unintuitive controls make it difficult to use and learn, while the simulated gauges don't look particularly realistic.
