Garage kept. Florida solid body car, only occasionally driven, but car drives beautifully, like a dream! This is truly one of the nicest, low mile, ELDO Convertibles available. Coachbuilders was the premier company out of Florida doing these conversions. Upgraded preferred "HARD BOOT" conversion so the top electrically folds down below the hard boot into the trunk leaving clean body lines. The top is in excellent condition with no tears. This vehicle even has it's side boot covers for the convertible top frame. Most of these vehicles no longer have those. This car retailed at $50,000 when new and the conversion cost another $20,000! It even has gold exhaust tips added!

I researched the vehicle history when I purchased the vehicle, and according to the previous owners I surveyed, only known damage to this vehicle was in 2001. This involved a minor cosmetic damage only accident of approximately $1,500. Vehicle was professionally repaired with no imperfections visible. Car is not perfect, as any 14 year old vehicle will have some minor flaws, but this vehicle is better than most due to it being pampered and garaged, and due to the low miles. You would be hard pressed to find a better example of Cadillac luxury in a sport vehicle of 14 years, and under 40,000 miles.

GM cutting production at two plants

General Motors is continuing to adjust to excess supply of some of its brands' models. To get production more in line with the vehicles' actual demand, the automotive giant is idling two of its factories in North America in the coming months. The Orion Assembly plant is going to be down from March 9-13, according to an anonymous plant worker and another insider speaking to Automotive News. The factory builds the Chevrolet Sonic and Buick Verano, but there are plenty of both models sitting on dealer lots, including 216 days worth of Sonics, according to AN. The factory already had two idle periods announced to reduce the excess. In addition, downtime is scheduled at GM's "Flex" line at the Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, plant from April 13-17. This affects supply of the Chevrolet Camaro, Impala, Buick Regal and Cadillac XTS. Among them, the automotive giant has the largest supply of Regals ready for dealers with 213 days worth of them, according to AN. The future for the whole Oshawa factory is cloudy in general, though. There are rumors that it could close entirely in the future because the Camaro is leaving and the Regal and XTS might not last much longer than 2017. The Canadian government and the labor union there intend to put up a fight, though. Cadillac sales chief fired over policy violation

Amidst a good year for Cadillac, which is experiencing higher sales gains than any other US brand this year, the US sales chief has been fired over a policy violation, Automotive News reports.
The sales chief, Chase Hawkins, "has left effective immediately," GM spokesman David Caldwell told Automotive News. Caldwell went on to say that Hawkins' replacement would be chosen soon.
Hawkins became the US sales chief in June 2012, and before that was the regional sales director for Cadillac in the Northeast US, overseeing 168 dealerships.
