Up for sale is my personally owned 1996 Cadillac Eldorado ETC with 126,000 miles on it. This was a project car that I purchased from a friend some months ago, and based on my personal cat inventory, and my storage space, I have no room or time or budget for insurance to keep this vehicle and that is why it is here on ebay, and will be auctioned off to the HIGHEST BIDDER with no reserve. I personally have driven this vehicle and I have had my mechanic do a detailed examination of this vehicle, and all good and bad will be listed here to the best of my knowledge. The cars runs and drives, and shifts as it should. Upon starting the car initially, it takes usually two or three starts to have it run. This is due to the need for a new Ignition Control Module which I have included in the auction and it is flashed for the VIN of the car, and once installed the hard ignition starting problem will be removed. The warning for this is also listed in the driver information viewfinder. The cars has a new battery recently installed with a warranty, the tires have 75% tread life left, and the brakes are very solid. The windows of the car are tinted and the Cadillac Chrome 5 stars are in pristine condition. The rims alone are a $1500.00 option from Cadillac direct. The car maintains the road very well, maintains its cooling temperature, and has tremendous acceleration from a starting position. The car does not make any sounds when started and runs very smoothly. The steering and suspension drive and hold the road as it should and during hard terms the car handles quite well. The power door locks, radio and climate controls and all other electronics work as they should with the exception that the driver door power window operation is intermittent and the air conditioning of the vehicle blows warm and would possibly need a recharge or additional servicing. All the glass, and the headlights and tail lights all function and are in excellent condition, as is the Bose radio system. the 12 CD factory installed cd changer, and the power seat functions. The cosmetics of the car are decent, and from a few feet away the car looks magnificent. Upon further scrutiny the front bumper cover has paint pitting, and there are slight dings around the vehicle, as can be viewed in the pictures. There are no significant dents on the vehicle and only minor abrasions and dings. With a complete detail most of the light scratches on the body and dings will be minimized and the car will shine even brighter than present. This car is a great runner, and with a little work, the car will look and drive well and give the new owner a great driving experience. The car is sold AS IS WHERE IS and there is no warranty express or implied. Happy Bidding and call or text me with any questions at 516-473-8399, my name is Al. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I work with a great shipper that will beat most published prices and quotes. This is a NO RESERVE auction so the highest bidder will win, and I reserve the right to sell this vehicle locally at my discretion.

Consumer Reports loves the 2014 Cadillac CTS
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Our first drive of the 2014 Cadillac CTS was just published today... we really liked the Vsport version. And Consumer Reports has some even stronger words of praise for the all-new luxury sedan. We already knew that Cadillac had stepped up its game with the third-gen CTS, but CR bluntly states that the sedan drives better than its German luxury counterparts.
While CR shows plenty of love for the new CTS, the outlet still takes issue with some of the in-car technology including the CUE infotainment system - no surprise there. The testers' offer all manner of positive comments where the impressive handling capabilities of the sedan are concerned, with lots of drifting around CR's private test facility in evidence to bear them out. Scroll down to watch the CTS get put through its paces.
Cadillac to Corvette: You’re not getting our twin-turbo V8 engine
Wed, Mar 28 2018NEW YORK — Cadillac president Johan de Nysschen bluntly shot down rumors his brand's powerful twin-turbo V8 is also headed for the Chevy Corvette. Speaking Wednesday at the New York Auto Show, he said: "Just quit the speculation it's headed for Corvette. It's not." The 4.2-liter V8 cranks out 550 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque in the Cadillac CT6 V-Sport, which debuted at the show. With that kind of performance and the fact the engine will be hand-built at the General Motors Performance Build Center in Bowling Green, Ky. — at the Corvette factory — led enthusiasts to presume the engine would eventually be under the Vette's hood. De Nysschen, however, argued the engine will also focus on levels of refinement, rather than the Corvette's raw, visceral dynamic. "I think Corvette wants a different kind of character," he said. In fact, the V8 is set to be only for Cadillacs, de Nysschen said, giving the luxury brand its first exclusive engine in years. "It's a matter of being a thoroughbred luxury car," he said. "It's really only a luxury brand that could recoup this [development] cost." A version of the engine making 500 hp and 553 lb-ft will also be used in other Cadillac models. De Nysschen declined say which vehicle will get the engine next. The new V8 uses a "Hot V" configuration more common to German performance cars, and has direct injection, electronic wastegate control, active-fuel management and stop-start technology. It teams with a 10-speed automatic transmission and fits either rear- or all-wheel drive systems. With a new mid-engine Corvette — and potentially more versions of the existing generation Vette — on the horizon, speculation pointed to the sports car getting a twin-turbo powerplant of some sort (V6 rumors also have floated), and the Cadillac 4.2-liter seemed to fit on paper. According to de Nysschen, that won't be the case. Still, even though the Cadillac boss says this specific engine won't go to Corvette, it's hard to not think some version of this engine, perhaps in a different displacement, could find its way under the hood of the Vette at some point in the future. Cadillac Escalade driven by Tony Soprano for sale
Fri, Nov 6 2015If you're a fan of The Sopranos imagining a trip to the Bada Bing, then check out this white 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV for sale by RR Auction. James Gandolfini drove this luxury SUV in the role of Tony Soprano for the last three seasons of the mafia-themed series. Gandolfini also signed the interior to give you something to show off to your buddies. If you've ever watched the show, you've almost certainly seen this white SUV before. According to the auction listing, the series featured two Escalades, and this one was used for exterior shots. The Caddy even starred in an action scene in season 5 when Tony chased after Phil Leotardo. Gandolfini's signature appears inside twice: once with "Thanks for the truck, James Gandolfini" and again with just his name. The auction also includes a letter of authenticity that's signed by the actor, and a second document asserts the SUV's use in the series. Apparently, Gandolfini had a habit of signing messages in his vehicles from the show – at one point he wrote a threatening "Be nice to my car" message in a red Chevrolet Suburban from earlier episodes. The auction for Tony's Escalade runs from November 12-19, which still leaves plenty of time for a meeting of the families to decide to buy it. Bidding starts at $5,000, and according to The Drive, the consignor estimates a final price between $30,000 and $50,000. This sale should at least come to a more definitive end than The Sopranos did.
