1979 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz - Gorgeous Classic! on 2040-cars
Stuart, Virginia, United States
This classic Cadillac is in excellent condition! In the
past year, it had a complete ground up refurbishing. The car is all original with
beautiful chrome - no dents, rust or scratches. It has the eye-catching wire hubcaps which add to the elegance of this beautiful automobile. Before
I bought it, the car spent its whole life in California. Additionally, since buying it, I have put 4 new American Classic tires on it, new gas tank with new pump and sending unit, new brake calipers, 2 new axle boots and have had fluid and vacuum leaks repaired. Air conditioning blows good and cold. Automatic temp control works perfect. 1. Car interior is all original and very well preserved. There are no
cracks in the seat leather, no stains in the carpeting, and the dash is excellent.
The headliner has been replaced.
2. Car exterior has been fully refurbished, including new paint and new
top and coordinating hand painted pin striping. There are no dents or scratches
anywhere!
3. Service records are available and will go to the new owner.
4. Seller is motivated. Reserve is very reasonable.
5. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged, by appointment only. |

Cadillac toned down ATS Coupe design due to customer feedback [w/poll]
Tue, 02 Sep 2014Automakers always face a difficult decision when it comes to styling their cars. Design them too blandly and nobody will get excited about them. But style them too aggressively and they'll often end up turning off potential buyers.
Cadillac, for its part, is no stranger to aggressive design, but when it came to the new ATS Coupe, it elected to tone things down a bit. Speaking with The Detroit News in a wide-ranging interview, Cadillac design director Bob Boniface revealed that the original design for its compact coupe was edgier - closer to that of the CTS Coupe - with a wedgier profile, a more steeply raked beltline and a more severe grille. But potential customers surveyed in clinics apparently didn't like it. They found it looked heavy, inefficient and not fun to drive. So Boniface and his team literally went back to the drawing board and "took as much visual mass out of the car as [they] could." The resulting coupe, while handsome, looks far more similar to its four-door companion than did Cadillac's CTS.
What do you think, does the new ATS Coupe look just right, or is it too conservative? Voice your opinion in our quick online poll.
11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching
Fri, 26 Sep 2014This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.

Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
