A very nice car for the collector or guy that just wants a cool ride. First $5,000 OBO. 102,000 miles. Body good and straight, no rust. It is Black on Black with red interior carpet. Black landau roof. 2 door HT. Has newer Black paint job that looks good from 10 feet but needs rubbed out or repainted. Appears to have all options except moon roof, including CB. Runs and drives great. New leather upholstery. A very cool car. You are welcome to see and drive. This car belonged to my late Son who was refurbishing it for his pleasure. It has the famous Cadillac 425 CUI V8 with 4 barrell carb and runs extremely well. As I understand the motor uses no oil and I can verify that it does not leak any. My Son had quite a bit of work & restoration done to the car. There are a few smaller issues left to be done such as power seat on passenger side doesn't seem to work, missing badge on trunk lid, antenna broke off. All interior lights, radio, and everything I find seems to work well. It has the automatic closing Trubk lid. Chrome appears good, Original wheel covers, original Jack in place but no spare. Trunk and interior is very clean. As I understand, this particular model is a relatively rare find and according to some, it is worth more but I just want to sell it. 314 422 5129. Car may be picked up but shipping is solely the responsibility of the buyer. PLEASE EXAMINE PICTURES CAREFULLY AND CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL ANSWER TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY AND BE COMPLETELY HONEST. YOU CHECK MY FEEDBACK AS I WILL CHECK YOURS. LORD WILLING, YOU CAN BID WITH CONFIDENCE. MY BEST TO YOU.

Johan responds to critics again about Cadillac's NY move
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Cadillac's new President Johan de Nysschen has faced a fair amount of criticism since assuming his position at the head of the American luxury manufacturer. From the company's move to New York City to a controversial new naming scheme, the first few months of his tenure have not been smooth sailing. Now, the embattled exec is firing back against his critics, notably Automotive News Editor-in-Chief Keith Crain, in a new column running in AN.
De Nysschen countered Crain's claim that the move to the Big Apple, "can only mean that someone wants to live in New York."
"The relocation decision is entirely unrelated to the personal living preferences of any Cadillac executive. No corporation would tolerate such indulgence by its leadership," de Nysschen wrote. "It is about structurally entrenching a challenge to the status quo by reinforcing the psychological and physical separation in business philosophy between the mainstream brands and GM's luxury brand."
Hennessy wastes no time in supercharging the 2015 Cadillac Escalade
Wed, 23 Apr 2014The ink is still drying on the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade sales brochures, but that hasn't stopped Texas-based Hennessey Performance (HPE) from leaping out of the gate with its own high-performance variant. In stock form, the big fourth-generation Cadillac flagship arrives with a new small block naturally aspirated 6.2-liter Ecotec3 V8 delivering 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Fresh out of the showroom, the 5,900-pound SUV will sprint to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
While that is plenty fast for some owners, others don't want to be shamed by a 550 horsepower Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG or a 510 horsepower Land Rover Range Rover Sport - both will leave the stock Escalade at a stoplight.
The team at HPE has come to the rescue with its HPE550 supercharger upgrade, which includes a belt-driven supercharger, air-to-water intercooler, recalibrated engine management software and a three-year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty. With 6 psi of boost, the direct-injected 6.2-liter is tuned to deliver an impressive 557 horsepower and 542 pound-feet of torque - gains of 32 percent and 18 percent, respectively, over stock. Although HPE isn't releasing performance figures as of yet, our math says that should be enough power to put the two Europeans in the Cadillac's rearview mirror. The company also offers a set of 20-inch lightweight H10 forged monoblock wheels, to further improve performance.
These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
