Here is an absolutely gorgeous 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop that is equipped with a VERY RARE 500 cubic inch Fuel Injected engine. This was the first year cadillac offered fuel injection as an option and was there most expensive option at over $650. According to GM archives there were only 1000 total 500 cubic inch fuel injected engines ordered in 1976 and 800 were ordered in the convertible leaving only 200 for Cadillacs other models. This is 1 of less then 200 that was built with the fuel injected engine in a hardtop making this vehicle extremely rare to find. The car has been a California car basically it's whole life. Still has the original smog pump and California emissions sticker on the radiator support with just 41K pampered miles. It is finished in a rare color combo with Phoenician ivory paint with buckskin leather interior and vinyl top. All the fillers are in excellent shape. The car runs and drives flawlessly and is loaded with all of Cadillacs options including power windows, locks, seats, air conditioning, climate control, a/m f/m radio with 8 track, twilight sentinel, and cruise control. All options seem to be in working order. The chrome is amazing. The paint is super straight and is completely rust free. The spare tire and jack have never been used and still retains it's original wood chock and decals under the trunk lid. The interior is completely original and in like new condition. The leather, door panels, headliner, carpeting are all amazing. The pictures do not do this car justice it is as nice as one you will find. The car is selling at NO RESERVE!!! This car has been in my personal collection and would love to keep it however loss of space forces me to sell. Don't miss this opportunity to own a beautiful low mileage RARE Eldorado. Cadillac Elmiraj Concept brings big coupe style to Pebble Beach [w/videos]

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Two years ago, Cadillac absolutely floored us with the debut of its gorgeous Ciel concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. And since that droptop four-door's debut, we've seen plenty of its design language worked into the latest Cadillac products. Now, we're seriously hoping that history will repeat itself with this stunning new Elmiraj coupe concept, which makes its first public appearance in Monterey this week.
Cadillac states that the Elmiraj concept simply showcases the next step forward for the brand's Art & Science design DNA, and doesn't necessarily preview an upcoming model. But if you told us the Elmiraj was a conceptual look at the next-generation CTS Coupe, or a smaller, two-door version of a new flagship, we'd believe you. At 207 inches long, 76 inches wide and 55 inches tall, its dimensions are only slightly larger than the current two-door CTS.
Regardless of what the Elmiraj does or does not become, it's certainly a fantastic modern interpretation of the classic GT formula with its short front overhang, long hood, rakish roofline and petite rear deck. The strong character lines running along the sides and exaggerated 22-inch wheels round out the beautiful coupe, and Cadillac's signature vertical LED lighting elements are found at the front and rear. Also take note: the badge on the grille is a crest without a wreath, basically confirming our earlier report.

2014 Cadillac CTS debuts new design, twin-turbo power, Vsport model [w/video]

If ever there were a Cadillac to truly rival the world's best, this could be it.
With every new model, Cadillac indeed gets closer and closer to actually performing at the top of its class, rivaling those crafty Germans at their own sport/luxury sedan game. The best example yet of Cadillac's efforts to challenge the world came last year, when we met the 2013 ATS - a vehicle that we praised for its on-road dynamics and interior refinement, and later went on to be named North American Car of the Year.

GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China

Wed, 08 May 2013

General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.
