Selling my 76 Eldorado. The car runs and drives nicely with all the power options working. In summer 2012 a new exhaust, shocks, alternator, battery and master cylinder were installed. Interior is in great shape aswell as all the glass and chrome. All gauges and instruments are working. Car is equipped with disc breaks all around. Window motors and power roof motor are nice and fast. Power antenna is not as fast as it should be but I havent tried to take apart or lube to try to fix it. Body is very nice, does have a few minor bubbling spots in the paint. Vynal top is in great shape. Underside of the car is in nice shape with no suprises. The car has been very reliable for me but havent been on trips longer then a few hours at a time. Car has been sitting in my heated shop. I aired up the tires and when I took it out for a wash and pictures there was a vibration in a front tire that wasnt there before. Feels like if a tire was out of ballence so I would say it could use new tires. If you have any questions or need pictures or want to come see the car dont hesitate to ask. My reserve price is $2900.

Cadillac to recall 20,000 SRX models over wheels that could fall off

Thu, 23 May 2013

A potential issue with the lug nuts on 19,871 units of the 2013 Cadillac SRX in the US and Canada has lead to a recall of the luxury crossover. Those lug nuts that have a Teflon topcoat, identified by their bluish tint, could loosen and cause "creaking, rattling or grinding noises or steering vibrations." In the worst case scenario, a wheel could fall off, but there have been no reports of that happening, nor any reports of accidents or injuries due to the issue.
This is the second recall action on the SRX over the last few months. In March, Cadillac recalled 27,000 SRX models over a transmission programming issue. General Motors will begin notifying customers with the potentially faulty parts on June 3, at which time they can take their vehicles to dealers to have the tires rotated and new nuts installed. A further 7,397 SRXs exported from North America also face the recall action.

Cadillac highlights craftsmanship in latest Escalade teaser videos

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.
As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.

Cadillac could 'flourish' in Australia, says marketing chief

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Cadillac might have its best product mix in recent history, and GM's luxury brand is looking to expand. In fact, it might even be making a trip Down Under, at least according to the company's global marketing chief.
Uwe Ellinghaus spoke with Australian site Car Advice at the Geneva Motor Show and said the brand could be quite successful there. "[The] goodwill that the Cadillac brand has is such a good starting base that once we get proper volume commitment and a dealer network behind it we can easily flourish," he said, though he warned that the plans are still in their earliest stages and years away. First, Cadillac will expand in markets with the highest possible sales, like China and Russia.
Ellinghaus said that the most likely models for Oz would be the SRX, Escalade and CTS; the latter would probably act as a replacement for the Holden Commodore. GM's Australian arm is ending local production in 2017, and there have been many rumors about what is happening to the big sedan. However, Ellinghaus admits exporting cars from the US to Australia is going to mean higher prices. In addition to the expense, Cadillac doesn't currently build any right-hand-drive models. It would likely take until the end of the decade before the Aussie models could be ready.
