The 1972 Cadillac Eldorado is considered by some enthusiasts as the most desirable of the 1970's line of Eldorado convertibles due to it's low production of only 6,800 models in 1972 (compared to 14,000 in the last year of 1976) and obviously due to being ridiculously fast for a car of it's size and weight with the high 365 horsepower 500 c.i. 8.2L V8 engine (only produced in the 1971-72 models and drastically reduced to only 235HP in 1973; 210HP in 1974 and 190HP in 1975-76!).

Original 91K miles! Always garaged kept since new considering it's completely rust free body with no sun or element damage whatsoever! The car has it's original factory color paint 'Patrician Covert Firemist' color paint (Code 94) with its lovely matching and original 'Dark Jade' color Sierra Grain Leather interior and with a brand new matching original beige color soft top with a plexiglass rear window. The car looks extremely striking with virtually no noticeable imperfections. The car has a brand new professionally fitted beige power soft top and headliner. The 'Dark Jade' color leather interior seats do have some age cracks in them as this was my Grandfathers vehicle, and he did not want to do a thing to it. The car has its original matching color carpeting and dashboard which are also in gorgeous all original shape with no wear or discoloration in the carpet and no cracks or blemishes in the dash! The vehicle comes with two Parade covers that will cover the convertible top when down, one is light beige same as the top, and the other is Sierra which is the same color as the interior.

All the car's options are working including all the power windows, the power soft top, lighters, cruise control. The original engine with 92K original miles is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently - must be driven to be appreciated and seen to be believed - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles!

The car has a recent new fuel pump, air cleaner, spark plugs, electronic ignition, front rotors, and pads, and calipers vacuum advance unit, passenger door lock actuator, right and left brake hoses, P/S high pressure hose, new Holly 750 carburetor, front wheel bearings and left & right outer CV boot, new upper and lower ball joints, new P235/75R15 tires, battery, shocks, (Stock Radio is in the dash, works, just needs a fuse, as my cousin installed a new radio in the glove box, 500 watt amp, with JDM speakers mounted in the trunk with speakers.

This is a rare opportunity to own an unabused example of an obviously always garaged kept desirable 1972 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible in this highly striking color combination with only some 92K original miles and no signs of any rust or accidents. This must therefore be considered a very rare example of this most desirable 1972 year of production of this decades last mass produced drop-top and a great investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any American classic car collector of obviously any Cadillac enthusiast!

Note I took close up photos of the rocker panels as to show that there is absolutely no rust on this vehicle. This is the ultimate head turner. The car still has all of the original factory tags still under the hood, door jams, and on the frame.

You are not going to find a cleaner, better runner, three owner 1972 drop top then this one right here.

Cadillac considering more radical ATS-V

Tue, May 5 2015

Cadillac is stepping up its performance game with the launch of the new ATS-V and CTS-V, but it's not about to rest on the laurels it removed from its own badge. While it's tipped to launch additional V models in the future, the latest word is Caddy could also come out with an even more extreme version of the ATS-V in the near future. According to Car and Driver, the prospect is on the table: "We might have something down the road that is a little bit more aggressive," chief engineer Dave Leone said, while another source pegged its potential arrival for 2017. It's too early to say what would constitute the more extreme model. The magazine points toward the Mercedes-AMG Black Series as an example. Jaguar took a similarly extreme approach with the XKR-S GT, as BMW has with the M3 GTS. As it is, the ATS-V is offered in both coupe and sedan variants with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 464 horsepower channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual. Cadillac reportedly considered employing a dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, but went the old-school route to avoid excess weight and (no doubt) cost.

2020 Cadillac XT6 Review & Buying Guide | Sneaking in through the back

Thu, Jan 23 2020

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is arriving late to the party, literally decades after some of its rivals. It's a new, three-row luxury crossover that serves as a much-needed, more-modern and less ostentatious family hauler than the Escalade (which is getting overhauled next year, by the way). The question about the XT6, then, is it fashionably late? The XT6 is indeed quite handsome and refined -- we thought it looked particularly excellent in one our test car's Red Horizon Tintcoat. There's a classic sophistication to it that evokes Cadillacs of the 1960s rather than the overwrought and borderline-tacky designs of other eras (including recent ones). We think the exterior design will age quite well, especially in light of some competitors. However, we're also not sure it's distinctly a Cadillac. Worse, the interior is drab, unimaginative, and blighted with unremarkable materials. A Volvo XC90 and Lincoln Aviator instantly look and feel more special, while a range-topping Hyundai Palisade isn't as far behind as the price gap would indicate. The driving experience also leaves something to be desired. Besides the ho-hum engine, the XT6 has neither the sharp handling of Cadillac's recent sedans nor the stately ride comfort one also might expect given the brand's past. Overall, the XT6 sneaks in through the back of the party rather than making a grand entrance; an unremarkable effort in a toughly contested segment. What's new for 2020? The XT6 is an all-new model and fills a gap in Cadillac's lineup. What's the XT6's interior and in-car technology like? Answering this question is all about perspective. In a vacuum, the XT6 interior seems nicely put together, its leather is soft and features are in abundance. The range-topping trim's gold carbon fiber trim is particularly interesting. If you sat in one after a Buick Enclave, the step up would be obvious. However, come from a Lincoln Aviator or Volvo XC90, to cite two excellent examples of the breed, and the difference is stark in terms of design and materials quality (there are too many hard plastics throughout). The XT6 quite simply isn't as cool, isn't as luxurious and doesn't seem to justify its price tag. At least features content is strong with six USB ports, wireless charging, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and satellite radio all included along with a panoramic sunroof and various driver assistance technologies. Other brands nickel-and-dime you with this sort of content.
