You are bidding on a beautiful 1970 Eldorado, the car is in excellent condition both inside and out. Buy the car turn the key and go! The car was repainted 7 years ago and the paint job was 5000 and it is still beautiful. The interior is all original and in near perfect condition, with all original floor mats! I am the second owner of the car and it came from Carlsbad California, so the car has never seen snow, salt, or anything else to ruin it. The original color of the car was very similar to the color it is painted now, but I liked this Mercedes color a little better so I choose it. I am a private collector and have several other vehicles, but I need garage space so this car is up for sale to some very lucky buyer.  If you are in the market for a #1-#2 car this is it! I would rate the car a true #1 car except it needs to have a tiny roof repair as shown in the pictures, that's it. The engine and transmission run great and all power switches run great as well.  Oh one more thing you need a Freon boost, I reserve the right to stop the auction at anytime and the first reasonable offer will own the car so don't wait around this car will be gone, and believe me I have owned alot of classic cars you wont find one much better then this.  I have been an ebay member for many years and have a 100% positive rating for a reason, I tell the truth.  Anyone who buys this car and isn't happy with it when it arrives will get a full refund except that they have to pay for the one way shipping I will pay for the shipping back to me and return all of your money less the one way shipping.  Find someone else on ebay selling a 1970 car and making that offer, you wont. If you have any negative feedback don't bid on my car ! The reserve is set at a low price so the car is going to sell, again don't wait until the last minute you will never own this car, good luck to all bidders. The mileage is 24,249, anyone could turn it back to say whatever they want like 65,000, but I don't those are the actual miles.

Cadillac CT6 styling will be evolutionary, not like Elmiraj

Wed, Dec 17 2014

Well, this is at least a little disappointing. It turns out Cadillac's long-awaited flagship, the CT6, won't be ushering in a wholesale change in the company's design. That's coming from GM Design guru Ed Welburn, meaning it should be taken as gospel (unless of course he's just trying to hoodwink us). "It'll be different and it will certainly stand out in the portfolio," Welburn told Automotive News. "But you won't see a real shift in direction." Instead, Art and Science will be shown in yet another new form, and will "continue to evolve," according to Welburn, although what that means is unclear. What we can say for certain, though, is that Art and Science on the CT6 will not evolve into the stunning Elmiraj Concept. "I think Elmiraj was more of an influence on some other things we're working on for Cadillac," Welburn said, we're guessing with a smirk and an air of mystery. Considering we have yet to see the CT6, it's hard to tell whether this will be good news or bad, although based on the critical reception to the Elmiraj, we're a little bit disappointed by Welburn's statements. Still, only time will tell whether the styling of the CT6 will really work out.

Meet the other Cadillac wagon. It's as American as ABBA

Tue, Aug 16 2022

The Cadillac CTS Wagon became a cult classic the second it went on sale. We all knew that it was never going to sell in anything approaching significant numbers, and if that "we" didn't include those actually working at GM, one would have to wonder what they were smoking. Cadillac was still having a hard enough time trying to convince people that it was now a BMW-fighting sport luxury brand rather than the purveyor of Grandpa-piloted land yachts. To many, a sport sedan like the CTS seemed like a stretch. But a CTS sport wagon? It sure seemed like GM was just doing things for funzies, an impression only enhanced by the CTS-V Wagon. Forget cult classic. That thing was an instant legend.  And yet, the CTS wasn't the only Cadillac of that era offered as a wagon. It wasn't even the first. Before GM said "to hell with it, let's have some fun" on this side of the pond, over in Europe, it had already taken a page from its old badge-engineering playbook to create the 2006 Cadillac BLS Wagon. It was available as a sedan, too, but its awkward majesty is best enjoyed as the long-roof model.  There's just something off about the whole thing, right? That's probably because it also looks vaguely familiar, as if you've seen it before. So where the hell does this thing come from? Sweden! Behind that Cadillac Art and Science face is a Saab 9-3, and in the case of the BLS Wagon, the Saab 9-3 Sport Combi wagon. The roofline is the dead giveaway, as no other wagon has ever looked like that. In fact, the roof and windows were the only exterior elements to copy directly over from 9-3 to BLS. No kidding. With the Cadillac front end, doesn't the Saab-funky-boxiness make it look like a miniature hearse? The answer is yes. GM's design team, led by Ed Welburn, was quite pleased with his work. Perhaps it even egged him on to create a real Cadillac sport wagon? "The whole team was very excited to apply Cadillac's design language to a wagon for the first time," said Welburn in a press release from the time. "The V-shaped chrome-plated grille, a Cadillac hallmark, is picked up again by the shape of the rear window, and the body side character lines make it unmistakably a Cadillac." The interior is surprisingly different from the 9-3, including the ignition switch migrating from the center console up to the steering column. It also wasn't exactly in keeping with the Cadillac norm of the time.

Cadillac V-Series Academy comes to Las Vegas [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

General Motors has added another high-speed education course to the curriculum at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The desert track already hosts the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School with Chevrolet Corvettes, including the ZR1, and they've just added the Cadillac V-Series Academy.
Open now, the one- and two-day performance driving school teaches "the finer points of high performance driving" using the 556-horspower instructional aids known as the CTS-V sedan, coupe and wagon. This is different than than using the CTS-V at the Monticello Motor Club on the east coast - that's part of a sponsorship deal that Cadillac has with the track. The driving course at the Motorsports Ranch is its own program that was developed by Fellows, and we have no reason to think the Cadillac edition won't be just as thorough and enjoyable as the one with Corvettes.
Unlike the 'Vette edition, however, it doesn't appear that you get an invitation to the program if you buy a CTS-V model. Classes are capped at 12 participants and run $1,295 for a single day, $2,295 for two days. There are a video and a press release below with more info.
